Chapter 3813 - Wolf Among Sheep
Chapter 3813 - Wolf Among Sheep
"Have all the descendants entered their respective burial rooms?" Tianming asked Yin Chen.
"Of course! If it... were you... would you... not enter?" Using the ancestral hearts to claim their rewards prevented it from turning into a first-come-first-serve affair, so there was no chaotic rush. The divine tomb was rather quiet, which gave Tianming quite a huge edge!
"Yin Chen has an eye on every person in here, and all of them are in their respective burial rooms, separated from each other and focused on their own affairs." These were the perfect conditions for a predator like him to strike.
Tianming pummeled Xing Hui's body to pieces once more, making sure that he was at a near-death state to make him easier to control. After that, the hunt began! He went to the second tomb after Yin Chen planned out the optimal order to hunt them down.
"All of them are just oversized babies!" Even though they were about the same age, Tianming was more like a bully when it came to a real fight with them. They were not bad fighters in their own right, but they just couldn't compare to Tianming. "I might have trouble if they all charged me at once, but going after them separately makes it too easy."
After traveling down a long pathway, Tianming dragged the near-death Xing Hui to a deep corner in a burial room and saw another kilometer-tall cosmic god. Before it was a young, fifty-meter-tall girl who was putting her totems into the cosmic tribulation sea using the ancestral heart.
She seemed relaxed, which was normal. This was a safe place, and nobody else had the right to take what was rightfully hers. Not to mention, the other members of the Starfall Pantheon wouldn't dare to cause trouble in the most sacred place in Starmoon Haven and risk death.
Tianming dragged the Skydome Prison with him and used it to trap the girl, surrounding half of the cosmic god's head with it!
"Fu Lin, careful!" Xing Hui cried. The girl only managed to hear it once she was within the Skydome Prison. Having been completely focused on raising her totems' simulacra, the stunning bang almost caused her soul to leave her body!
"Is that... Xing Hui's voice?" Fu Lin hadn't managed to withdraw her totems from the cosmic tribulation sea when countless Phantasmic Bubbles slammed into the back of her head. Then, Ying Huo, Meow Meow, Lan Huang, and Xian Xian's abilities followed! In an instant, Tianming pierced the Grand-Orient Sword into the girl's body along her spine, making a wound for Quadform Radixbreath to invade. The poison immediately began to spread through her astrons.
"Ugh!" The girl's huge body immediately exploded. Her soul and body were heavily injured. There would be no point in retracting her totems at this rate. Tianming quickly separated her limbs, head, astral organs, and everything else and mixed them up with Xing Hui's mushy mess of a body. It wasn't possible to tell which astrons were whose.
The Skydome Prison was filled with Xian Xian's Quadform Radixbreath, which was highly effective for keeping prisoners subdued. It was a constant corrosive force that would prevent Xing Hui's body from regenerating and reforming. It could also completely kill him, but Xian Xian made sure to hold back. The same thing happened to Fu Lin's body. Their poisoned and severed heads were stuck together as the rest of their body parts were completely mushed up, free to shake around within the Skydome Prison. The circumstances of their meeting couldn't be more harrowing.
"Xing Hui, what is... all this...?" Fu Lin's mind was still groggy. She had gone from what amounted to a pleasant sleep while absorbing simulacra tides to having her body ripped apart by someone! It was the divine tomb, a place that was supposed to be absolutely safe!
Xing Hui wasn't able to answer her either. He couldn't even dream of how Tianming entered the divine tomb through the formation outside. "Li Tianming, you lowliest of crooks, how dare you use such underhanded methods of ambush when you're strong enough to take us on properly under the Heavenly Dao's watch?!"
"Li Tianming?" Fu Lin recalled this person, and her mind went blank. Wasn't this the weird monster that caused quite a lot of trouble at the Middlekin Star Ruin?
"Xing Hui, thanks for reminding me about this! You're right! I'm good at sneak attacks! Much better than fighting normally!" Tianming said with a chuckle. Had he known that sneak attacks worked so well, he would've waited for Xing Hui to put his totems into the cosmic tribulation sea before fighting. Having enjoyed the benefits of a cosmic tribulation sea, he knew that someone who was using them would definitely be in a state of relaxed bliss. The sense of safety felt not unlike being in the mother's womb. The outside world just seemed to melt away.
"You're nothing but sheep to me. Yet, even after a wolf like me is in your midst, you'd still dare to fall asleep!" This made things so much easier. Tianming ignored their complaints and kept them subdued with Quadform Radixbreath. He also claimed all the wealth and items on them and took Fu Lin's ancestral heart before heading toward the cosmic tribulation sea on the cosmic god's head.
"What's he planning to do?" Fu Lin asked, still dazed.
"He wants to absorb the simulacra tides!" Xing Hui said.
"How is that possible? The ancestral heart has a formation lock! It's already assigned to us and nobody else!"
Xing Hui no longer had the energy to speak. He watched weakly as Tianming took the ancestral heart and dipped his sword totems into the cosmic tribulation sea, blissfully absorbing the simulacra tides.
Fu Lin's mind shook at the sight of it, causing tears to flow uncontrollably. "My reward for my achievements in the Starmoon Sacred Battle is all gone...."
"Not just that," Xing Hui lamented, "The Midsky Tristars have gathered eight hundred million slaves for a plan to kill Cosmic God Long Xing. If all of us fall into Li Tianming's hands, we'd be handed to that cosmic-god slave as hostages! Our fates will be even more uncertain then!"
Fu Lin felt like countless lightning bolts had struck her. "Impossible! He did come in, but he couldn't possibly make it out of here, right? Unless Jiu Jue betrayed us to help him capture all of us.... But why would he betray us for the slaves?"
"No idea. All I know is that it'd be better if Jiu Jue didn't betray us. There's a lot of us, and even in our battered state, he wouldn't be able to leave with all of us without causing any commotion. Starmoon Haven is our territory, so where could he possibly go? Any random person he encounters could be the end of him!"
"Sigh, can you guys quiet down? It's supposed to be a private conversation!" said a white cloud that popped up between the two.
