Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 3926 - Broken Shadow Electroheart

Chapter 3926 - Broken Shadow Electroheart

"Why?" Gu Susu was stunned for a moment and asked.

"No reason. It's my own decision," Tianming replied and then abruptly turned around and left. He blended into the crowd and quickly disappeared from Gu Susu's sight.

The reason Tianming made this decision was because he was deeply aware that, in front of the Eightpart Pantheons, Gu Susu’s identity was far too insignificant.

As soon as Tianming entered the mountain, it would be impossible to avoid conflicts with the Eightpart Pantheons. He wasn’t scared, but if anyone saw his closeness with Gu Susu, she would surely suffer. Given that, it was better to sever the connection now. After all, he'd already asked what he needed to ask.

If there were a chance in the future, Tianming would secretly thank her. But not now.

By breaking things off now, his relationship with Gu Susu would be limited to that single introduction by Chu Xuan. No one would know she brought him here, so naturally, no one would think they were close.

Gu Susu stood in place, shaking her head with a sigh. In fact, she had wanted to forget the past and see if she could develop new feelings. Unfortunately, Tianming came quickly and left just as fast.

"Forget it. I’ll just go in as well. I won’t need to keep listening to all those rumors anymore."

While Gu Susu entered the mountain first, Tianming took a detour. He first returned to the Ancestral Void Ark to collect the Soulfiend, before he entered the mountain as well.

“Quasi cosmic god? Must have a death wish.” Those who saw him mostly just shook their heads. This level might just be half a step away from a cosmic god, but the gap was still very real.

If it were a quasi cosmic god from the Eightpart Pantheons, no one would talk.

“Let’s follow him. Maybe he has something valuable on him.”

“A descendant of an orbiter world’s minor clan? What could he possibly have?”

“Making money has to start from somewhere.”

Just like that, a few first-level cosmic gods from the Eightpart Pantheons set their sights on Tianming and followed him into the mountain. If he had entered with Gu Susu, this probably wouldn't have happened.

“So huge!” Tianming arrived at the foot of the mountain and looked upward. What appeared before him was a pillar-like world reaching the heavens, wrapped in countless layers of formations. It was difficult to fly straight up, and had to be climbed step by step.

"With the cosmic gods from the Primordial Sands added in, there must be at least tens of thousands of cosmic gods on this mountain, and yet there’s not a single one in sight!"

Cosmic gods, each hundreds of meters tall, were like humanoid stars. But on this mountain, even such massive beings were no different from ants.

Tianming couldn’t be bothered with the cosmic gods tailing him and easily shook them off. He had more important things to do.

“Soulfiend, how's it going?” Tianming asked the black spiritual wind coiled around his arm.

The Soulfiend shook its head, indicating that Lingfeng hadn't shown up yet.

"Then I’ll climb a bit higher." Tianming moved swiftly.

Although the mountain was steep, it wasn’t smooth. There were jagged rocks, caves, ravines, and deep valleys. Although it looked like a giant sword from afar, it was riddled with holes. Formations covered the entire mountain, forming obstacles that pointed downward. All kinds of ancestral-world elemental powers, lightning, fire, storms, frost, pressed down from above.

While there was no update on Lingfeng, Tianming himself soon sensed something.

“What’s this? The formation core of the Ancestral Void Ark?” He discovered that a section of celestial patterns fused into his infernal heart had started reacting.

Something ahead was pinging him. Tianming followed the sensation and soon entered a ruined cave. At the deepest part, it seemed to stop at a solid rock wall.

“There’s a gate!” It was similar to the gate in the form of major arteries in the Ancestral Void Ark.

This time, Tianming didn’t use the sky plunderers’ gifts to break in as the gate opened automatically for him.

“Could there be another Ancestral Void Ark here?”

When Tianming stepped inside, the gate shut behind him, and darkness engulfed the space.

He was about to release Yin Chen, when golden light illuminated the area, revealing a spherical space. It wasn’t a heart chamber like before, but something ten times the size of the heart chamber.

“Damn!” Tianming was excited at the sight of a gold-and-black ocean before him, each drop a little beastball. He could already see at least a hundred thousand of them, ten times what he had found in the Ancestral Void Ark.

What a delightful surprise!

The little beastballs seemed to chirp in recognition. As soon as Tianming appeared, it was like they awoke from countless years of slumber. They all leapt toward him, bouncing joyfully around him.

Aside from the little beastballs, there was nothing else here.

Tianming examined the place and confirmed that it was a sealed space and probably not another Ancestral Void Ark.

“That means these galaxy-class orders will be even harder to take away!”

Tianming turned to his Grand-Orient Sword, and his eyes lit up. “They’re embedded in to the mountain. If I can take the mountain with me, won’t they come too?” Bringing them back to the Sun was the most important goal.

Otherwise, the flameyellow descendants would need to come to the Ancestral World to receive the blessings of their ancestors’ caeli.

After thinking, Tianming ordered Yin Chen to climb the mountain to gather information, while the Soulfiend stayed by the gate to sense any call from Lingfeng. As for Tianming, he decided to stay put.

“There are too many powerful beings on the mountain. Running around would be suicide.” A glance at the Ten Desolate Cosmic Genii Ranking showed him just how far behind he really was. If he ran into one of those genius cultivators who had trained in the imperial-class worlds, just a single finger would crush him.

So, Tianming left the search to Yin Chen and the Soulfiend for now, focusing on his new galaxy-class orders and overflow fragments.

There was no mud here, so Yin Chen could be of use. But due to the pressure of the formations, its ascent was slow.

Tianming stayed in the spherical space. He began to study the caeli, learning from their cultivation paths, and forging his own path of order. All nine orders were insanely difficult.

Fortunately, there were a hundred thousand caeli, more than he could even use.

“This manna is the Broken Shadow Electroheart.” Tianming pulled out a manna and handed it to Meow Meow, who was still lazily napping nearby.

It had been looted from Chu Xuan, who had quite the stash. He had several manna with over ten thousand apertures.

“Meow Meow, get ready! I have a feeling you're about to become a cosmic god too!” Tianming encouraged.

“What meaning is there in being a cosmic god? Being the God of Sleep is the real divine path, meow,” Meow Meow sleepily grumbled after being woken.

“Uh....” After all these years, Tianming was long used to it.

While Tianming bathed in the black-and-gold light of his ancestors, outside, Yin Chen began its difficult mountain trek.
