Chapter 3944 - Flameyellow Bovine Race

There was no chance for them to catch up with Tianming after he left. His cosmic godbeasts' abilities were far stronger than before. Even cosmic crest beasts couldn't seem to compete. Jiang Yuheng was left there in a sorry state.

"Nine... Ninelives! Golden!" Jiang Yuheng's headless body was still incoherently crying out, making him look even more pathetic.

Jiang Lincheng helplessly sent another group to chase Tianming down despite knowing how it would turn out. He had to do it to placate his wife.

"What are you standing there watching for?! Chase him down and kill him!" Jiang Yulian howled, cradling her headless brother's body.

Jiang Lincheng was completely silent.

"Sister, Brother Cheng is our leader. If he gives chase, it'll be really dangerous if we run into a group from the Eightpart Pantheons," said a third-level cosmic god.

"Rubbish! All of you!" The thought of losing the golden ninelives fruit and seeing her brother in this sorry state made her astral organs shake with rage. She had been publicly humiliated and couldn't even vent her rage at seeing her brother's sorry state, not until she found worthy targets for it: the siblings.

"Come here!" Jiang Yulian rose and glared at the two.

"What are you doing?!" Jiang Xiaobai had already been losing her patience with her for a while now.

"Lin Feng heard the report and stole the ninelives fruit and even hurt my brother! You two were the ones who led an enemy into our midst! I suspect that you've been bribed by the Eightpart Pantheons!" She turned to her husband and spoke with a sinister voice, "Look at what they did to Yuheng.... As his brother-in-law, you should kill them for this grave transgression!"

Before Jiang Lincheng could speak, the others couldn't help but speak out. "Sister, there's no need to go that far!"

"We all know what kind of person Brother Datou is."

"Yeah. We know him well and were raised together. There's no need to go this far. What do you say, Brother Cheng?"

Everyone turned to Jiang Lincheng. Between his wife and the siblings, he felt like he was being torn apart.

Before Jiang Yulian could finish, Jiang Lincheng glared at her and yelled, "Shut up! Enough!"

"You!" She looked at him with disbelief. Normally, he would always let her get her way. Why did he snap today of all days, especially after she had suffered such humiliation, yet she was completely ignorant to what had caused it in the first place.

"How are you still blaming it on us? If not for your foolish scheme to lure him there, he wouldn't have joined us, let alone heard the news. If you hadn't been so belligerent toward him, he wouldn't have lashed out and taken the fruit and hurt your brother! It is all your fault!" Jiang Xiaobai said, rolling her eyes much to Jiang Yulian's chagrin.

Clearly, she still couldn't swallow her rage. She looked around and saw that everyone stared at her silently, finding her completely frustrating to deal with. They couldn't bear to handle her. Apart from Jiang Xiaobai, nobody else dared to say anything else, since anything would only cause even more frustration for Jiang Lincheng.

"Well! Very well!" Jiang Yulian snickered. "Jiang Lincheng, just you wait! Let's see how my big brother deals with you when we get back." When she thought about it, she had had quite a lot of suitors back then too, and found it a bit of a shame that she had picked the wrong one.

Brother Yu is still pining over me after all this time. Lincheng, you're the one who's pushing me into the embrace of someone else! Her desire for vengeance bubbled within her.

"Let's keep looking for ninelives fruits," Jiang Lincheng helplessly said, "make sure to be on alert."

After he said that, he came to Jiang Datou. "Sorry, my brother."

"Brother Cheng, I am the one who should apologize for putting you in a tough spot," Jiang Datou said, sighing.

"Well, you know the saying." Jiang Lincheng patted his childhood friend on the shoulder. "Marriage is the grave of romance. Abandon hope, all ye who enter here."

Jiang Datou didn't know what to say in response.

Tianming wasn't that far from the group. He was only relieved after seeing that Jiang Lincheng didn't give the siblings any trouble. "He's a decent bloke. Too bad he wasn't that lucky with the people in his life."

Jiang Yulian clearly had quite the family background, so it wasn't easy to be her partner.

"This is the most troublesome kind of person to deal with, the kind that doesn't have any skills of their own, yet keeps getting involved in things that they have no business in and ruining things for everyone else."

"Are you speaking from experience here?" Ying Huo asked.

"Nonsense. I'm utterly blessed," Tianming retorted.

"Don't you mean... udderly blessed?!" Ying Huo said, raising its brows as it did so.

"Shut up." Tianming was just about to lead the Skyfiendling away from the group of primalwingers and find a spot to inspect the golden ninelives fruit, but Yin Chen suddenly warned him about a weird person that it took notice of.

"Oh? What kind of person piqued your attention?" Tianming curiously asked. Meow Meow had just been about to fall asleep, but he flicked his arm hard to keep it awake. His fingers struck where its balls would be. Meow Meow shrieked and let its ability go haywire, carrying Tianming flying out of the cavern wildly!

"Hey, keep the commotion down! Sheesh!" He was worried that all the noise and bumbling around would startle the person that Yin Chen had told him about. On the way, Yin Chen arranged itself into words to describe the person that it had taken notice of.

"You're saying that this might be a flameyellow divinity?" This person was quite deep into Ninelives Cave. There were countless roots around him, and touching them carelessly would create noise to alarm him.

Soon, Tianming could see the person in the corner of the cave, his back facing him. He seemed to be dressed in thick clothing that wrapped his entire body. The clothes did look positively ancient. His hair also seemed rather unkempt, being frizzy and curly in odd places. Given the cosmoforce coming from him, he didn't seem to be too old.

Tianming observed him for a while and saw that he didn't move, so he approached him from behind and said, "Hey."

That startled the fellow so badly that he jumped into the wall. He quickly turned to Tianming before growling. Tianming looked closer and noticed that his face was a complete mess too, covered in snot and mud. It was the first time Tianming saw a cosmic god looking like some beggar.

"Wait, I'm a good person!"

But he completely ignored Tianming and yelled, "Die! Die! All of you! Heheh!" He turned and ran into the darkness at a rather fast pace.

"Are you of the flameyellow divine race? I am too! Don't run!" Tianming rapidly caught up with his lightning steps.

"Bovine?! What flameyellow bovine race?" said the vigorous fool. Tianming didn't know what to make of that.
