Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 4005 - Brotherly Reunion

Chapter 4005 - Brotherly Reunion

"Do they think they'll be able to take a shit just because they occupied the lavatory? Well, I won't let them." It wasn't that Tianming looked down on the talented young geniuses of the Eightpart Pantheons. Instead, the Grand-Orient Sword was part of the Primordial God-Emperor's legacy, which wasn't something that could be claimed with talent alone. As such, he was in no rush to reach the sword cave.

The ones gathered at the entrance are all from the Eightpart Pantheons.... Tianming saw tens of thousands of cosmic gods there. Most cosmic gods under the age of five hundred from the Ten Desolate Starforges were there, more than fifty thousand of them! The Primordial Sands had only sent around thirty thousand to the peak, but they were farther away and didn't dare to get too close. However, they didn't appear to want to give up and were also prepared to fight their way in, if necessary. But they weren’t in any rush, since they knew that the Eightpart Pantheons weren't having much success in that department, either.

There used to be a stalemate, but thanks to the Heavenly Dao Arena, things might change. Tianming had a rough idea of the situation there. He didn't immediately meet up with those from the Primordial Sands. Instead, he told Bai Ling and Bai Ye, "The Soulfiend can still feel his presence, so he must be nearby. Help me look for him."

"Already looking." The two of them were scattering their soul seeds, trying to sense any abnormal fluctuations of soul power. Spiritforms and the like wouldn't be able to elude their perception.

Tianming had thought he would have to wait quite a while, but it didn't even take ten seconds before they said, "Found him!"

"That fast?" He seemed rather overjoyed.

"Over there." Bai Ye pointed the way and led them there. Lingfeng was located at the boundary between the tip and the rest of Miracle Mountain. There were quite a number of caves there, perfect places for someone to hide. However, those from the Primordial Sands were there as well.

"He's in this cave," Bai Ye said.

"Okay!" Tianming quickly flew into it and immediately spotted the dark figure within. The thing that caught his eye was the dark vortex at his chest. Then his purple and red eyes turned to Tianming. Tianming's own eyes were black and gold, but he could tell that something was off with the purple eye right away. His eyes used to be dark crimson!

Emotion seemed to pour out of the dark crimson eye when it saw him, containing surprise, respect, and anxiety, whereas the purple eye seemed sinister and excited.

"It's him!" the purple eye suddenly said.

"Feng?" Tianming stretched his hand out and approached him.

"Don't look for me!" cried the dark figure before he rammed into the wall behind him, creating a vortex to the Xenoworld and disappearing into it.

"How dare you?!" the purple eye cried with seething anger, turning to look at his other eye. The dark crimson eye gave Tianming one last look before the dark figure completely vanished.

"What's going on?" Tianming stood there, stunned. He hadn’t expected his long-awaited reunion to end up this way. There was nothing left in the cave.

"That purple eye...." He seemed to recall it from somewhere. Then the Soulfiend suddenly began to cry and jump around in frustration. Seeing it in that state, Tianming was finally reminded of the unimaginably huge presence that covered the sky of the Xenoworld.

"Di Yi?!" Lingfeng had been held prisoner by him back during the days in the Divine Lunar Realm. How had he gotten involved with Lingfeng? Tianming brainstormed a bit more and recalled that Di Yi had some kind of ties with the wonderians.

"That is... indeed Di Yi," came Huang Qi's voice from the ring.

"Do you recognize him?" Tianming asked.

"Of course. Didn't I tell you that he's one of the nine Aeternal Beings?"

"Well, you wouldn't speak up for no reason. Tell me what you want to say."

"To be honest, your friend’s been parasitized. His life is in Di Yi's hands. If you don't deal with it fast, he’ll definitely die and be taken over. It's a really terrible death."

"Are you able to save him?" Tianming seemed troubled.

"It's really difficult. You have to pull that eye out, but it’s taken root in the bloodline that your friend inherited. Forcefully extracting it might kill him as well. That's why you must give me full control to perform the extraction. I'm not making something up to get you to release me. I'm giving you a choice. This is something that only I can do, and I need to come out to do it. You're free to make the choice however you like. I'm not going to make you," Huang Qi said with some glee. Her obvious schadenfreude made her really punchable.

"How do I know that you aren’t making things up? If I release you, you can kill me and run off. What would I do then?" Tianming said.

"How should I know? I guess you'll have to try your luck. What if I'm a perfectly pure person who doesn't lie? Well, even if you don't think I'm completely honest, you can’t deny that I'm pure and untouched," she said with a giggle.

"Just shut up." Tianming looked in the direction Lingfeng had run off in.

"Oh? You wouldn't even risk it for your dear brother's life? Would you do it for a beauty, then? I didn't take you for someone who’d put girls before his friends."

"I'd trust you if you mocked me less. The more fuel you add to the fire, the more likely it is that you're willing to lie your way to freedom. That doesn't make me trust you at all."

"You're free to gamble on your friend's life, for all I care."

Tianming ignored her distraction. He was faced with quite a predicament, but Huang Qi's solution was hardly trustworthy. Jumping to freeing her might not be a gamble worth taking.

"I have to find a way to talk to Feng and ask him what's going on. It's clear that Di Yi has some plans concerning me." He furrowed his brows and looked at the sword cave above. Lingfeng had run off and there wasn't any way for him to contact him for now.

"I hope Feng has some ideas on how to deal with it." Tianming understood Lingfeng enough and trusted that he could hold on. Not long ago, Yin Chen had told him that the Eightpart Pantheons were starting a move to encircle those from the Primordial Sands.

"Are they finally losing patience?" Tianming saw that the fifty thousand foes were getting into formation.
