Chapter 4025 - Footnote in History

"You're cheating!" Zi Zhen seemed rather dissatisfied, having completely not expected Moran to have silently mastered the power of the Empyrean Yin-Yang Mirror. Yet another monochrome pillar of light crashed down on Taiyang Zhao's divine wonder that he was so proud of, instantly shattering it!

"Gotta use this chance!" Tianming rapidly shot toward Taiyin Yuan. Right as she got back up, a gigantic purple figure appeared before her, his right leg covered in ten thousand rings of stars packed to the brim with the power of countless primordial worlds. He planted the kick squarely into her face, causing half her head to explode in an instant.

"Gaaaaah! You flameyellow animal! Footnote in history! May your tribulations never end!" she shrieked.

"To hell with you!" Tianming gripped the Grand-Orient Sword in both hands and swung a powerful slash. The shades of two different swordmaidens appeared within the sword, one of them belonging to Tianming's 40-fold-simulacrum totems and the other the power of the chaos swordmaidens. Bai Ling also densely packed the strike with soul power, making the strike a rather troublesome one to deal with.

Taiyin Yuan raised her folding fan cosmic relic in an attempt to block the strike. Tianming had used the second strike of the cosmic art, Eternal Cage of Stars, tracing tens of thousands of astral prisons with his sword that pressed down on her, actually tearing her folding fan in half!

"Whoa!" He didn't think that the Grand-Orient Sword would be so sharp, and it hurt to see a precious cosmic relic destroyed just like that. Fortunately, it was worth it; the slash continued on and struck Taiyin Yuan, bisecting her! Her body exploded into many fireworks before reforming into a black cosmic god essence seventy meters in diameter and slamming into the ground.

"My divine—" Even then, she still couldn't abandon the notion that divine wonderians dominated everything. Too bad she had run into Tianming!

"Divine your ass!" He pierced the gold sword into the tough black sphere. Unlike what he expected, the Grand-Orient Sword cut into it like flesh rather than steel, completely piercing through it!

"Huh?!" Even Taiyin Yuan hadn't expected the sword's hardness. It suddenly reminded her of Miracle Mountain. "Don't tell me—"

Right as the thought occurred to her, Bai Ling's soul power exploded forth. Coupled with Bai Ye's Phantasmic Bubbles, her injured soul was vanquished in an instant. Tianming pocketed the corpse immediately following her death. He was quite a competitive lad and didn't like losing, especially to girls! Well, he had only won, at the end of the day, thanks to his greatly enhanced weapon. Though Zi Zhen still hadn't defeated Taiyang Zhao, it seemed like that was only a matter of time.

"The other wonderians are still alive in their essence form...." Tianming's eyes turned cold as he did something that horrified and infuriated the wonderians.

"No! Nooo!" cried thousands of cosmic god essences as Tianming swept across them like a storm, easily piercing them with his sword and silencing them for good.

The battlefield grew quiet at a staggering rate. Lin Chaoge and the others were also working hard to defeat the wonderians while Tianming performed the coup de grace. With Bai Ling and his enhanced sword, it was as easy as cutting vegetables. The essences couldn't move at all and could only wait for their turn on the chopping block. The wonderians, who had initially been so smug, despaired as they noticed that their status and genius upbringing were all useless.

The same applied to Taiyang Zhao.

"Where are the reinforcements?!" Taiyang Zhao took out a golden transmission stone. The second-ranked genius watched as the thousand top geniuses from his world, Empyrean Yin-Yang, perished, sorrow in his voice.

"Too bad for you, we were so quick that your reinforcements are still leagues away!" The words caused Taiyang Zhao to mentally break down. Tianming extinguished the essences and pocketed them into his special spatial ring one after another. He also collected all their spoils, including some ninelives fruits that they hadn't managed to send off.

Zi Zhen's claws, spiked hairs, and tails pierced his body and tore him apart, reducing him to essence form. "You’ll die a horrible dea—"

Tianming's sword pierced into Taiyang Zhao's essence and ended his sentence right there. He had perished in the depths of despair.

Most of the thousand wonderians had also already perished, save for a few that’d managed to slip away. All it took for the unmovable fortress to be taken apart by Tianming's group was an explosion from Ji Ji. Given that Ji Ji was out of commission, though, Tianming had been considerably weakened, though his strength was more than enough against a seventh-level wonderian with the help of the Empyrean Yin-Yang Mirror. With Taiyang Zhao gone, he was easily able to clean up the rest.

"Let's go!" Tianming said, waving for the disciples of the Primordial Sands to gather beside him.

"Lin Feng, you’re our god!" Lin Chaoge cried.

"It's too bad that Pu Lingyi’s still riling up the crowd in the Ninelives Cave. You’ve been betrayed," Tianming said.

"He’ll pay for his foolish mistakes!"

"We'll see. Let's go back!" Tianming turned back to give Moran a look of praise. "How's the mirror?"

"Not bad! Even though I can't use it to its full potential, it's still helpful. I'll need time to learn what it can do," she said, glad to be of help and feeling fulfilled. She then whispered by his ear, "There's even a special space within. I can enter it to consume cosmic god essences there. That way the Heavenly Dao Arena won't be able to see me doing it."

"Wow, really?"

"I'll need you to carry the mirror. I can grow stronger as we travel back this way."

"Sure thing." Tianming tossed the essences of the freshly killed wonderians into the mirror and Moran snuck into it as well. She was their greatest weapon, which more than made up for Ji Ji being out of commission.

Finally, the mirror was no longer any threat to them.

"Let's fight our way back!" Tianming turned toward the Ninelives Cave with a burning look in his eyes.
