Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 4048 - The Black Sword Cave

Chapter 4048 - The Black Sword Cave

"An advance?" Mushan Xue looked at him speechlessly.

"I need enough skill to draw aggro, so I can provoke more geniuses from the Eightpart Pantheons to enter," Tianming seriously spoke.

Seeing how earnest he was, Mushan Xue indeed didn’t think he was joking. She thought for a moment, then said, "Alright. I’ll find you a cosmic art first."

"Don’t just find any. I want the best one." Tianming paused. "If you give me another ordinary one, what’s the point?"

"You—!" Mushan Xue was taken aback by his shamelessness. She was still maintaining a respectful working relationship, but this guy clearly already treated them as his own people, acting completely unreservedly.

Thinking about it, he really was like a thief!

"Well?" Tianming smiled. "Don’t be stingy! We come from the same ancestor; we’re all family here. Even if it’s something good, you’re not giving it to an outsider."

Mushan Xue glared at him. After a moment, she said, "There is a godshaker class cosmic art that suits you well."

"Oh? Let me see." Tianming's eyes lit up slightly. He knew that the cultivation path of the flameyellow voidkin had similarities to his, so it should work well.

"I didn’t bring it with me. I’ll bring it for you next time when I return." Mushan Xue said.

"Return? You don’t stay here?" Tianming looked at her curiously.

"Don’t pry. It has nothing to do with you." Mushan Xue sternly said.

"Fiiiine." Tianming didn’t press her.

He originally thought she was going to leave, but to his surprise, she stared at him for a while, then said in a deep voice, "Let me see that sword of yours."

"This one?" Tianming took out the golden Grand-Orient Sword and held it up to her.

"Yes." Mushan Xue reached out, clearly wanting to take it.

Since she didn’t have the ability to snatch it, Tianming simply handed it over.

"So heavy!" When Mushan Xue received it, she nearly dropped it. Her arms trembled slightly. With her level of cultivation, she still couldn’t wield the Grand-Orient Sword easily, showing how heavy Miracle Mountain was.

Mushan Xue didn’t speak next. She held the Grand-Orient Sword and looked at it for a long time. In the end, she returned it to Tianming and murmured, "This doesn’t belong to the ancestors of flameyellow, but... it’s definitely an extraordinary sword."

"No kidding," Tianming thought to himself. There are countless chaos swordmaidens inside, waiting to awaken. Once I go through them all, its power will be unimaginable.

"You entered a golden sword cave and used it to devour half of Miracle Mountain, right?" Mushan Xue asked softly. That scene had been unimaginable to her.

"That’s right...." Tianming's eyes brightened slightly as he looked up at her. A sudden hunch rose in his heart: she was about to bring him good news!

Sure enough, Mushan Xue pursed her lips and casually said, "There’s another black sword cave. I know where it is."

"Big Sis!" Tianming immediately shouted, scratching his head. "Please tell me!"

Mushan Xue chuckled helplessly. She didn’t keep him in suspense and directly said, "I’ll take you. It’s also near Miracle Mountain, but it’s in another layer of space."

"Another space? A place where the Heavenly Dao Arena can’t reach? Like here?" Tianming asked.

"Exactly." Mushan Xue turned around. "You can come with me directly. Leave the others and the Ancestral Void Ark here. That’s actually safer. After you absorb the other half of Miracle Mountain into your sword, then come back for them."

"Alright." Tianming nodded. Even though he hadn’t seen that black sword cave yet, excitement was already bubbling in his heart.

The other half of Miracle Mountain was one of his goals in the lower ruins. But even though Yin Chen had scoured the entire relic, it hadn’t been able to find the black sword cave.

Who would’ve thought Mushan Xue would bring such fantastic news?

So, in the strange, separate space, Tianming followed Mushan Xue forward. She didn’t speak much, seemingly unwilling to talk about what lay behind her.

Tianming did want to chat, but unfortunately wasn’t able to keep the conversation alive.

About half a day later, Tianming felt that they had reached a location close to Miracle Mountain within the alternate space.

"The Ancestral World is truly miraculous. The space seems to be layered with multiple dimensions overlapping in the same place. The Eightpart Pantheons dwell in one layer, she and that wild man from before are in another."

From memory, the Ancestral Realm also had the Kunlan Realm, and the world where the hive had been. It really was mysterious.

"We’re almost there." When Mushan Xue said these three words, Tianming looked ahead. Sure enough, there was a spatial fluctuation, and the Grand-Orient Sword in his hand began to tremble excitedly.

Right now, the Grand-Orient Sword only had the golden portion remaining. The black part only had a small dot. So if Tianming tried to split the sword into two again, he’d only get a golden sword and a dot, not the previously balanced pair of long swords.

This showed that it was incomplete!

"The chaos swordmaidens must have more mysteries still hidden.../"

As Tianming was thinking this, they turned a corner, and a massive black sword cave appeared before his eyes. It was nearly identical in size to the golden sword cave from before, with many formations sealing it.

While the golden sword cave looked majestic and imposing, like the might of an emperor, the black cave felt domineering and ferocious, symbolizing the emperor’s wrath! Because of that wrath, it carried a stronger sense of violence and slaughter.

"The sword cave has existed for countless years, but unfortunately we’ve never been able to enter. Miracle Mountain has long been waiting for its true successor... I just never thought it’d be you." Mushan Xue pouted.

"Why not me?" Tianming said with a wry smile.

"The sword cave has such an overbearing aura. But you? You look like a petty thief." Mushan Xue bluntly said.

"I look like a thief? That’s because you haven’t seen me without the mask." Tianming replied.

"Then take it off." Mushan Xue’s eyes lit up, actually seeming interested.

"Fine, I will." Since they were in the alternate space and the Heavenly Dao Arena couldn’t see them, Tianming reached up and took off the violet mask.

His white hair, dual-colored gold-black eyes, and the fierce, wild aura from his four lifebound beasts all appeared before Mushan Xue.

"Uh..." Mushan Xue froze for a moment. She hadn’t expected Tianming to look like this after becoming a cosmic god.

To be honest, it startled her a bit.

"Shocked by how handsome I am?" Tianming raised an eyebrow.

"It’s just that you’re so odd-looking, it scared me." Mushan Xue pursed her lips and coldly shot him down. "I don’t think good-looking is how I would describe it."

"Really now?"

Tianming didn’t pursue the topic. He put the violet mask back on. Its abilities made it easier to use his Plundering Arm to tear open the barriers and enter. He really was like a thief, just a galaxy-class thief.

"Anyway, thank you!" Tianming said, heading straight for the sword cave.
