With Zi Zhen and Moran by his side, Tianming would never have undue thoughts toward Mushan Xue.

"Once the situation in the ruins stabilizes, I'll take you to meet our seniors. You have earned enough merit," Mushan Xue said.

"Sure." That would be the chance for him to ally with the flameyellow voidkin. For now, he still didn't really understand their intentions. He didn't let himself get too optimistic lest he gave his all to fight for them only to be taken advantage of.

"Alright, I'll be leaving. Let me know if there's something else," she said.

"Wait." Tianming breathed in with a serious look. "I have something rather important to say... consider it a favor!"

"A favor? You've rendered great merit and we haven't even rewarded you yet. Consider it done."

"With them trapped and slowly culled, you'll end up with lots of corpses. What I want are the ones of devas and wonderians, as many and as fresh as possible! I only want the cosmic-god essences, not their riches."

"All...." She shook her head. "They won't be possible. The corpses are precious, so they're useful for our descendants' development. There's a hundred million troops from their ranks, while the total number of devas and wonderians is about fifty million."

Tianming wondered how ridiculously powerful Moran would be after absorbing that many wonderian essences. He grit his teeth and said, "I know you can't make the decision on your own, but I hope you can at least help me make this request."

"I will ask for you, but if even I think that this request is a bit much, what will they think? I expect they'll only give you ten thousand of them. Corpses can only come after a difficult fight. If others join in, they'll expect some compensation from it."

"I understand." Tianming got closer and whispered, "Then tell them that my wife is Tian Jiu's reincarnation. She can get stronger by consuming wonderians. That makes her crucial for toppling the Eightpart Pantheons. More importantly, she'll do what I say!"

"What is that?" Mushan Xue had never heard of Tian Jiu before.

"Just tell them what I told you," Tianming said.

"Are you talking about that masked wonderian?" Mushan Xue recalled that the girl seemed rather mystical to her even back then.

Tianming used the transmission stone to tell Moran about this. After hearing it, she said, "We still can't trust the flameyellow voidkin fully, so there's some risk."

"I know. Let's take a gamble this time around."

"Then, I'll join you."

"Are you afraid?"

"What's there to fear with you by my side?" Her voice was soft but resolute.

"Indeed." Tianming noticed that she had changed a lot. She was even more willing to help him out. "Let's hope it works out."

Tianming waited patiently for three days before Mushan Xue came again. "How did it go?"

She seemed stunned as she said, "My dad said that he will personally come to verify what you said. He'll bring a few wonderian corpses with him."

"What if we're proven right?"

"If it's true, they'll agree to give you all the wonderian corpses," Mushan Xue said, not believing her own ears. How could that be possible?

"Alright!" Even though it wasn't absolute, there was a good chance that there would be good news. "About the devas...."

Mushan Xue rolled her eyes. "Forget it. We have to earn our keep too, you know. We can't let you have everything!"

"Fine...." Tianming awkwardly nodded.

"It's a battlefield up there, so forget about going. You'll end up as cannon fodder."

"True." Tianming wasn't in a rush either. "Alright then, I'll see you again."

He returned to the ark where Zi Zhen, Qingyu, and Moran waited.

"Big Brother, the lower ruins will be fine now, and there's no saying what we can do with Feng. What do you plan to do next?" Qingyu asked.

Tianming patted his chest where the dead fish eye regularly appeared. "I've gotten lots more omnisentient threads. Coupled with the fact that the elites from the Ninefold Hellstar are trapped in here, I plan to head there to try my luck."

"To the Ninefold Hellstar?" They seemed rather concerned. The Sun would soon be falling back to the infinitum class, so it needed more energy to grow. The Ninefold Hellstar was the perfect destination when it came to developing Eighth and the Sun.

"With the omnisentient threads I don't know to what extent my level of power will reach, but we have to try." If it worked out for Moran with the flameyellow voidkin and Ninefold Hellstar, they would be in for quite a huge boon.
