Chapter 4074 - Astral Giant
Chapter 4074 - Astral Giant
As Tianming watched, the altar opened to reveal an entrance that let out a storm of nova source. The dark power completely enveloped Tianming and Ming Yufu.
"Do I need to go in?" Ming Yufu said, suddenly hesitating.
"It seems like your Dao-heart isn't as stable as you thought. Well, I won't need you here!" Tianming flew into the altar. At the end of the day, the fight would depend on him alone. Naturally, he also depended on the flameyellow descendants that fought alongside him. It was an incredibly crucial battle that would have lasting effects on their faith in him.
"Even though I have quite a lot of omnisentient threads in the Upper Star Ruin, most of them are still developing and haven't reached their full potential. If everyone has full faith in me, I can get much stronger still!" To achieve that, he would have to win a fight of great importance, which would quench the hatred built up over countless generations of oppression.
Tianming donned his mask and rapidly flew along the way. The pathway around him was constructed using countless divine celestial patterns, as it was a part of the fusion formation, similar to how Tianming entered the core of the Sun using the Flameyellow Divine Pillars. However, the Ninefold Hellstar was a maniverse-class world, so the path to the core was much longer than the Sun's, more than a million times longer.
He could see nothing but dark nova source around him. This was formed using fundamental cosmic force and was the foundation of the devas for countless generations. It was the cradle of their life and civilization! No life could exist away from nova source. Even cosmic gods who could brave the conditions of outer space derived their power from nova source. Tianming's goal to restore his world to its former glory also greatly hinged upon nova source.
He continued advancing down into the abyss. The deeper he went, the stronger the storms of nova source became. It got to the point that even cosmic god bodies could be damaged by them.
Soon, he arrived at the battlefield that was shrouded in numerous dense clouds. One could see many tombstones all over the place that marked the ground in which the devas' ancestors slumbered.
Before Tianming approached, the dark clouds ahead rumbled as a man with a head of crimson flames emerged. The diameter of his head alone was wider than five hundred meters, half of Tianming's height!
"Who goes there?" The flaming head spoke with a thundering voice that triggered a blazing storm! The heatwave from that alone might be able to wipe out all the life in infinitum-class worlds. His long hair and eyes burned brightly like scorching suns. His eyeballs had diameters of a hundred meters!
The flaming deva rose after he spoke, towering over everything with his immense figure. He was like a massive astral mountain of more than five thousand meters in height. A gold-crimson radiance surrounded his entire body, making him resemble a microcosm. This was an astral giant indeed!
If a being like that reached the lower star ruins, his gaze alone would be able to cause a place like Myriadpath Valley, a place that came to be because of the legacy of the corpse of a cosmic god, to melt!
The flaming astral giant before Tianming applied immense and explosive pressure. He was the second-in-command of the Ninefold Hellstar, Ming Xingwang, aged seven thousand and three hundred plus. He was one of the true elites in the Upper Star Ruin!
He had seen Tianming's appearance right after his query, causing a look of doubt to surface on his face. With a voice of disbelief, he said, "You're Lin Feng, the native of the lower ruins in the Ancestral World, aren't you?" He had witnessed Tianming's performance within Skyfiend Hall.
"The very same," Tianming said, descending. He stood only as tall as the lower legs of the astral giant and looked rather precious in comparison.
"The fact that you're here even though the gate to the lower ruins is closed means that you have another way. That confirms that you are the ones who control the gateway," Ming Xingwang said, voice deep. They only had guesses back then, but no proof until Tianming showed himself. "Even though I don't know why you would come here nor where you found your confidence and courage from... once I defeat you, your secrets and those of the Ancestral World will finally be revealed."
Ming Xingwang appeared rather calm. Magma began to flow from his two volcanic eyes. He closed the altar above to prevent any other unexpected opponents from coming in, but it was truly an unnecessary precaution. Tianming had truly come alone.
He drew his sword, facing Ming Xingwang. It was a clash that was beyond words. The duel would decide how things played out! He split the Grand-Orient Sword into two and immediately used his 60-fold simulacrum totems, Decapath Skyvore Sworddragons, on the swords. Bai Ling sent twenty infant souls into the totems and greatly boosted their soul offense.
The power of the ten million chaos swordmaidens also circulated within the swords. Even though they were all dainty women, they packed incredible power of a completely different extreme compared to the decapath era godswords! The Grand-Orient Sword in this state made it possible for Tianming to kill any cosmic god. It wouldn't matter if he had gotten much stronger without a weapon to unleash his power with.
"That's it?" Ming Xingwang could tell that he was ready for a fight. The situation was not unlike that of an infant challenging an adult to a fight. No matter how talented he was at swinging his kitchen knife around, Ming Xingwang didn't feel any pressure from that at all. In fact, he found himself wanting to laugh. Yet, a hum resounded from the youth's body before every single middlekin astron in his body glowed.
"My subjects shall aid me as they walk the path of Flameyellow's rise with me!" Tianming's imperial order resonated with his many subjects. Their power was channeled from all corners of the universe to him through a network of black-gold threads.
The next instant, his astral body appeared even more intense to look at than Ming Xingwang's. Even though he wasn't even a thousand meters in height, there seemed to be multitudes that stood behind him, every single one among them carrying an inconsolable grudge!
