Chapter 4087 - Shen Sheng Siming

Three divine astralships could be seen beyond the entrance of the wormhole expressway from Cobalt Fiendlord, Saturatia-49, and Myriadsin Capital respectively. Ships within the wormhole expressway traveled at blinding speed, yet these three were traveling together as a unit, with their doors open for passengers to gather.

Within one of those ships were Lord Empress Yao and Fiend Empress Qing. They welcomed the wonderians and primalwingers before a shining, bright window. Both of them were pure-human cosmic gods with bodies thousands of meters in size. Their three guests were also humans; their bodies weren't that tough, but their appearances did differ somewhat.

The first female primalwinger that arrived had a tall and slender figure, clad in black leather armor and a short skirt. Her two smooth thighs appeared like beautiful marble pillars that glowed like nebulae. Her tiny yet sculpted face contained a hint of mischief that made her appear somewhat similar to the two empresses.

Mystic Qi Zai was the little sister of the God of Original Sin and the one who was the acting starlord of Myriadsin Capital. She was among the highest in command in Myriadsin Capital. Though she wasn't married, she had many affairs and a questionable relationship with her older brother, making her rather famous among the Ten Desolate Starforges. It was said that there was no low she wouldn't stoop to to get what she wanted.

"Greetings, Big Sisters," Qi Zai said solemnly, unlike her usual, carefree self. It was clear that some recent events had somewhat displeased her.

The next group of people arrived around the same time. Based on the brilliant-white illumination, it was clear that the wonderians had arrived. Like Siming Shengshi, they were a male and female pair, but they stood thousands of meters tall thanks to their massive cosmic god bodies. Their divine wonders were engraved deep in their middlekin astrons, making them akin to astralguard formations.

"Shen Siming, Sheng Siming." Shen and Sheng, meaning divine and sacred, were honorifics that the wonderians used for these two. Together, they were known as Dreammaster Siming, and they were the custodians of Saturatia-49 while their superior was confined within the Ancient Flameyellow Ruins, making their status similar to Ming Xingwang's.

"We're all here." Their three maniverse-class worlds were among the closest to the Ninefold Hellstar. Apart from Shen Siming, the other four were women, and a lot of that had to do with the fact that the elite forces of the Ten Desolate Starforges had been deployed to the Ancient Flameyellow Ruins, including their leaders.

Sheng Siming, the female wonderian, took the first step to socialize with the others. They had already met once during the Cobalt Overfiend's birthday celebration, so they were somewhat acquainted. Sheng Siming looked at the vortex of the wormhole expressway and asked, "Have you received any news about the Ninefold Hellstar?"

Lord Empress Yao, Fiend Empress Qing, and Mystic Qi Zai exchanged looks before shaking their heads.

"I only know that it's sealed, and no news is able to get out from within. Even the orbiters aren't able to enter, so it's up to us," Lord Empress Yao said.

"What in the world is Ming Xingwang doing? He's still messing around when we still have no idea about the fate of those trapped within the ruins," Mystic Qi Zai said.

"It seems far too odd. He isn't someone who would do something like that. This situation is highly irregular even for him," Shen Siming interjected. "I understand Ming Xingwang. Even though he's somewhat unruly, he's definitely no fool."

"We'll find out the truth once we enter," Sheng Siming said.

They were all top figures in the Ten Desolate Starforges who had lived for tens of thousands of years. Even with all their life experience, they hadn't encountered something quite like this. The Upper Star Ruin was the territory of the Eightpart Pantheons, so it was highly unlikely for something so out of the ordinary to happen.

"Weird things have been happening a little too much as of late," Lord Empress Yao said.

"Are you talking about the entrance of the ruins closing or the slave revolt that occurred right around that time?" Mystic Qi Zai asked.

"The latter."

"This is weird indeed. Not to mention, it's not isolated to the Ten Desolate Starforges either. Similar things are happening in other regions."

"Have we learned why? The Upper Star Ruin is vast. It's hard to imagine how they would coordinate something of this scale," Sheng Siming said.

"According to some reports, the slaves killed themselves after being captured to avoid interrogation. They were dedicated," Lord Empress Yao said.

"They're that harsh, huh...."

"This is still new. Maybe all we need is more time to find the truth. The rebellion is made up of many individuals, after all. It's practically impossible to stop leaks from happening," Shen Siming said.

"It seems like this is caused by the flameyellow convicts inside the ruins. They had a way to reach out to the flameyellow remnants in the Upper Star Ruin and planned the revolt to take place all at the same time. It seems that they have something even bigger in the works," Mystic Qi Zai said.

"I heard that you're taking this seriously and asking the imperial-class worlds to send people to investigate. Maybe they already found something," Shen Siming said. "I wonder if all this has something to do with what's happening to the Ninefold Hellstar now."

They were still unable to receive any news within the wormhole expressway.

"We're here!" The three ships rumbled as a rainbow vortex appeared before them through which they emerged into the Upper Star Ruin. Their dreamlike surroundings seemed to stabilize with their destination right ahead of them. All five of them turned to look at the Ninefold Hellstar when the ships stopped moving.

"Huh?" They all froze completely, stupefied beyond understanding. They heard a constant, deafening hum, the death throes of an expiring world! Wild storms of nova source swept around and caused the ships to rumble uncontrollably. Everything before them was swallowed up by black storms.

Through the chaos, they could only barely see the two worlds that were stuck close together, one larger than the other, as well as countless chunks of land and debris. The smaller star seemed like a deflating balloon, constantly losing air. Its continents, seas, and cities folded, spilled, and crumbled. Countless astral giants within let out cries of agony and panic. Not only were they being crushed by senseless amounts of dirt and debris, but the wild nova source storms themselves were more than capable of harming them. No matter how powerful cosmic gods were, those who were only hundreds of meters in height were no different from tiny flies in the destruction of a world of this scale, easily being crushed by the slightest brush against wildly flying debris.

Lord Empress Yao and the rest had no idea what the withering world used to be. They looked at the other gigantic star of black and gold with the appearance of a sea urchin. Its spikes were pierced deeply into the withering world and clearly siphoning its energy away. Even the likes of them blanked out at the sight, let alone others.

The black-gold star continued sucking away at its foe while the newcomers watched without reacting. At the very end, Mystic Qi Zai said with a hoarse voice, "Don't tell me the withering world is actually the Ninefold Hellstar...."

Those words pushed themselves into their brains like a sharp dagger.
