Chapter 4167 - The Marshals Of The Eightpart Pantheons
Chapter 4167 - The Marshals Of The Eightpart Pantheons
Feng Linxue boldly voiced her deepest concern. Grand Feng, Grand Yue, and Grand Meng were in a dire situation. Lord Yue thought it was unwise to broach such a touchy subject, especially since they would be too afraid to speak up even if the wonderians chased them away.
He intervened, pulling Feng Lingxue aside before turning to the ashura with an apology. "An Shen, please forgive us. Xue’er is only anxious because Grand Feng suffered a heavy blow."
"You!" Feng Linxue loathed him. His words only intensified her disgust, but she couldn’t cooperate either.
An Shen laughed, seemingly unfazed. Looking at Feng Linxue, he said, "Starlord Feng, it seems you don’t know the Eightpart Pantheons very well."
"Please enlighten me, An Shen," Feng Linxue said respectfully. Although she couldn’t care less for Lord Yue, she had great respect for An Shen.
A cold glimmer appeared in An Shen’s eyes as he smiled. "No threat from this universe can touch the Eightpart Pantheons. We deal with them before they can even make demands,” he declared. In other words, the enemy would never be able to threaten them. Such boldness could only come from a powerful man.
"They might even release the captives before the army gets there." Empress Xia stood on the side, arms folded as she chuckled. "They’re fighting because they still think they stand a chance against the Eightpart Pantheons, but certain fears are strong enough to completely break even the most desperate."
They all laughed and the awkwardness faded. Like dogs, they had come to lick their master's boots, only to have their legs broken before they could grovel. But in this awkward moment, their master said, "It's okay. Bark away!" And so, everyone was happy.
An Shen's mood remained unaffected. "This battle is crucial for the Eightpart Pantheons, so we won’t be holding back. We’ve had no true rivals for millenia. We’re eager for this battle, and while it may seem like overkill, it's certainly satisfying!" he remarked happily.
"Do you mean..." Empress Xia's eyes lit up.
An Shen held up eight fingers.
"Eight hundred million..." Emperor Xia and Lord Yue exchanged a delighted glance.
"That’s just the first battle. There’s no limit," An Shen said calmly.
"You must be joking. With these numbers, one battle will suffice," Lord Yue said with trepidation.
"We won’t even have to fight. When the news gets out, these bastards will fall apart from within," Empress Xia said coldly.
Upon hearing the number, Feng Linxue and Meng Yao both gasped.
Eight hundred million cosmic gods! That was probably the cosmic gods from ten starforges. Given the battle's significance to the Eightpart Pantheons, they would certainly send numerous imperial-class experts to command the eight hundred million troops to ensure an overwhelming advantage in this epic battle.
To their knowledge, the enemy had only one figure that reached ten thousand meters tall, the pope of the Tian Jiu Cult. In contrast, they had over ten super cosmic gods, including An Shen, Empress Xia, Lord Yue, and at least one from every faction.
Due to the Eightpart Pantheons’ immense power, the 800 million-strong army’s combat power was likely superior to that of the Tian Jiu Cult's 1.5 billion forces.
"Even with Tianming and the Tian Jiu Cult working together, they're still up against an army seven times their size. That’s not a war, it’s a massacre!" Feng Linxue sighed.
No wonder An Shen was so confident.
"Li Tianming, Jiang, Lin, Chen, and the Tian Jiu Cult... There’s no way they’re in complete agreement," Empress Xia said calmly.
"Why do you say that?" An Shen asked with a smile.
"An Shen, all you have to do is send these eight hundred million cosmic gods to Grand Jiang to kill their ancient ancestor," she replied.
Everyone immediately understood what she meant. From what they had gathered, the ancient ancestor was extremely important to Tianming. She mattered less to Jiang Tianzhou, and even less still to Lin and Chen. On the other hand, the Tian Jiu Cult had nothing to do with the ancient ancestor. While Tianming would protect the ancient ancestor against the Eightpart Pantheons to his last breath, the Tian Jiu Cult wouldn’t risk their lives for such a cause, and would give up the astralguard formation.
"On the surface, they're working together, but in reality, they’ve all got their own agendas. This one move will shatter their alliance." Lord Yue sneered.
"It isn’t a true alliance, but a gathering of the weak. Once a conflict arises, they'll abandon one another and flee. They’re nothing," Empress Xia commented. It was no wonder she and Lord Yue were on good terms. They shared many of the same ideas.
"The enemy's combined force might be less than two hundred million. Li Tianming is headed for a dead end." Meng Yao could finally smile and relax.
"These two are nothing more than flies buzzing on the battlefield. The Eightpart Pantheons will deploy eight hundred million to start, but we can always send more. The flameyellow voidkin are our real opponents." An Shen's face hardened at this point.
Empress Xia and Lord Yue fell silent. The Eightpart Pantheons’ most profound humiliation came with the entrapment and annihilation of the hundred-million-strong Ten Desolate Army, an event that had a profound impact on the Upper Star Ruin! This time, they were here for revenge. Capturing the Primordial Sands was merely a subsidiary task.
"To force the flameyellow voidkin into battle, they must first capture Li Tianming. Their plan centers on the ancient ancestor as she’s the key to controlling him," Empress Xia whispered to Lord Yue.
"We stand to gain from it. That’s all that matters,” Lord Yue said.
"The only question that remains is the size of the flameyellow voidkin army..." Empress Xia said coldly.
"We shouldn’t underestimate or overestimate them. After all this time living in an ancestral world that’s unsuitable for their legacies, they might not even be as strong as the Primordial Sands," analyzed Lord Yue.
"Hmm." Empress Xia said nothing more.
Just then, An Shen let out a hearty laugh and announced, "The other marshals are arriving!" He, too, was a marshal of the Eightpart Pantheons.
Immediately after An Shen finished speaking, Empress Xia swiftly led the Grand Xia imperials to wait respectfully before the stareye. Amid the constant arrival of people, three brilliant beams of light spanning ten thousand meters suddenly appeared through the Xiavoid Stareye. They were three majestic golden figures exuding sanctity and supreme power.
"Divine wonderians..." Empress Xia frowned, her complex emotions evident as she stared at the universe’s dominant race who had originated from Tian Jiu.
