Chapter 4191 - Descent of the Lord

As Empress Xia and Mi Shen Gamma struck, Mi Shen Alpha and Beta turned into two golden storms tens of thousands of meters wide and flanked Tianming from both sides. Tianming didn't say anything and merely smirked, causing the two Mi Shens to be even more livid. Yet, before their divine wonders could strike, countless word prisons appeared in front of Tianming as if he was using the imperial-class astralguard formation as his divine wonder! The word prisons formed a sky-encompassing net that came down towards the two huge cosmic gods.

"He's using the formation's power to protect himself, so that means the pressure on our forces will be decreased. If we keep hounding him, we can help our forces make it out!" Mi Shen Alpha and Beta could communicate telepathically. In essence, attacking Tianming to divert the formation's power away was more effective than having them fight with their forces. They immediately charged towards the word prisons to stay on Tianming's tail. Their target, seeing the word prisons crumble, immediately turned to flee.

"Trying to run, huh?" They laughed and gave chase even harder! The two golden storms were like two golden dragons, roaring nonstop as they burst through the word prisons and approached Tianming. "He's trying to keep us occupied so that the rest of his defenses aren't that burdened. But as long as we give chase, it'll backfire on him!"

The two dragons' sheer, violent might 'exceeded' Tianming's expectations, 'forcing' him to redirect even more of the formation's power to help himself flee in haggard fashion. However, he did manage to lead the two Mi Shens away from the center of the battlefield where there were no allies to come to their aid.

"It's our chance!" The Mi Shens flanked Tianming again, almost pinning him down. Their two platinum-colored divine wonders opened up like abyssal, world-devouring mouths from both sides!

"Huh?" Tianming looked around as he was sucked into the world of platinum. The world seemed to shift nonstop, showing him whispering figures of countless figures. There were eighteen layers of light in that world, nine within and nine without! The figures and silhouettes were not the main point; the most fatal part of the divine wonders was the terrifying sense of pressure that drained away at Tianming's powers stealthily, making him feel like he had returned to the days of his youth when he was weak and powerless!

"This is an imperial-class wonder too, huh, the nineworld heavenly wonder..." Two nineworld heavenly wonders layered together to form eighteen layers, having both illusory and weakening effects. The combined divine wonder made a world that was almost as realistic as the real one. Though he was stunned by the detail in his surroundings, he calmed down and looked ahead. Through it, he saw the two exalted figures that all lifeforms in this created world bowed to and worshiped while they cheered their name. This divine wonder created a layer of faith, but it was a false sense of worship which made Tianming laugh.

"You're surrounded and know you're about to die. Did you finally realize that and give up?" Mi Shen Beta's voice rang like a bell's toll.

Tianming lost it and laughed even harder. When he was done, he looked up at those two divine figures and said, 'You two are the ones who've been surrounded."

"Hahahaha..." The two of them broke out in laughter. "Are you talking about the Grand Xia Guard Formation? Very well. Divert more of its power here to help yourself escape," Mi Shen Beta baited.

Tianming smiled without saying a word, however, making them stop smirking. Then, Mi Shen Alpha's expression suddenly changed. "There's something outside!"

"What's that?" Mi Shen Beta had no idea as his nineworld heavenly wonder was sandwiched within his brother's.

"No! Impossible!" Mi Shen Alpha seemed like he was completely struck as he stared outside with a look of horror and panic. His tongue shuddered as he spoke.

"Big Brother, what's going on? What do you have to fear? We are divine wonderians! Nothing in this universe is capable of scaring us!" Mi SHen Beta gripped his shoulder and felt rather embarrassed. How could his brother lose himself like that in front of Tianming?

"Brother!" Mi Shen Alpha's eyes were wide open with shock. "There's a divine-wonder formation outside made from tens of millions of wonders that surrounded us!"

"Did the Tian Jiu Cult turn their attention to us?" Mi Shen Beta asked.

"No! These wonders are connected far too well, as if they're all layered by a single person! There's no imperfection! It's not a mere formation, the wonders have combined into a single true divine wonder! And... and..." Mi Shen Alpha couldn't even steady himself to describe it.

"What else is there?!" Mi Shen Beta was losing his confidence from his brother's reaction.

"These tens of millions of divine wonders are all from the Ten Desolate Starforges! I can tell! Do you recall that we lost around twenty million wonderians in the Ancient Flameyellow Ruins recently?" Mi Shen Alpha's shaking hand grasped his brother's arms. Mi Shen Beta twitched with realization and immediately slumped, not being able to stand straight.

"Lord! Lord! The lord of legend and myth! The lord has descended!" Mi Shen Beta coughed out astral blood from the shock, though it was not exaggerated in the least. Regardless of how arrogant the wonderians were, everything they had came from Tian Jiu, even the destruction of the flameyellow divinities! Without Tian Jiu, the Eightpart Pantheons wouldn't be around! Tian Jiu's return signalled the reunification of all wonderians into one! In the distant past, the wonderians once saw that as a glorious day, but the wonderians of modernity considered it the most terrifying legend they ever knew. They were grateful to Tian Jiu, yet they couldn't bear to let go of what they had.

"No... no..." The two brothers huddled together in fear and panic as they looked at Tianming. All of a sudden, an ink-green cloud wafted around him, forming into a slender, tall figure that seemed distant and stunning. Her eternally old eyes pierced through the hearts of the two wonderian marshals. She had truly returned, and to the enemy's side!

"Lord! Lord!" The two Mi Shens cried uncontrollably and prostrated themselves. Everything in their bodies down to their tailbones shuddered.
