“I go back and you stay here?” Tianming was aware that staying behind meant taking on the greater risk.

With him around, there was no need to gamble on the probability of enemies arriving as he had Yin Chen.

“But what if someone shows up while I’m gone?” Mu Qingqing hesitated.

“You actually doubt my ability?” Tianming laughed.

“No...” Mu Qingqing fretted. “It’s mainly because you’re not the same as you were a hundred thousand years ago. You only outclass others by seniority now. Don’t be fooled by how respectful they seemed in Nullity. They’ll probably be excited to run into you in this Inverse Battlefield. “Please. I do love to show off, but I’m not an idiot. Only a fool would choose the risky route,” Tianming said speechlessly. He now had the likes of the Imperator Skyplunder behind him! He wasn’t some rebellious kid who had to prove himself through self-inflicted hardship.

So, staying behind and holding the frontline while she went to call reinforcements was the best solution. For resources like this Chaos Star Ruin, if he didn’t call backup, someone else would anyway.

That left Tianming alone in the empty ruin, with the scenery of black and red grapes to admire.

“Once I alter the structure of these nova sources that contract inward, their explosion is way stronger than those nova source expand outward,” Ji Ji chuckled.

“Nice.” As he spoke, Tianming guarded the maturing dazzling radiances.

“So these dazzling radiances are like bait thrown in the pond by some higher existence? When fish see the red light, it’s like they smell deliciousness and swarm right in.” For exactly that reason, dazzling radiances typically appeared only in newly emerged Chaos Star Ruins.

Thus, Tianming had Yin Chen specifically search for new ones. Such places often held what he wanted. The middlekin stars could be sent back to Nullity too, which was a perfect setup.

“As long as these dazzling radiances don’t mature too quickly, Qingqing will have enough time to bring people back,” Tianming muttered. That was exactly the moment a red grape suddenly trembled. Then it burst with blinding red light, shooting out of the black divine cave and illuminating the Inverse Battlefield! It looked exactly like someone had just thrown bait into a fish pond!

“Wow, it really is shiny.” Tianming felt like he’d jinxed himself.

“Luckily only one matured. Not too bright,” Yinghuo said, looking at the piercing red glow.

That was the exact moment a second, third, and fourth dazzling radiances all lit up!

“You’re a jinx too!” Meow Meow burst into laughter, looking outside. “Let’s just hope they don’t all mature together, or that really will be huge—”

The very moment, all the red grapes began glowing.

“Holy meow,” Meow Meow was stunned.

A blindingly bright pillar of red light rushed out.

Bathed in the red beam, Tianming’s face was flushed. “Damn it, this is going to be a problem!”

They were currently in the maturing phase. Soon, they would even shoot out! Tianming could only summon Lan Huang and submerge them in its seas to smother the light and seal their exit route.

Every one was at least a thousand metres tall, and the tallest at the front was a woman in a fiery red battle dress. She was nearly ten thousand meters tall, with long legs, a slim waist, and hair fluttering behind her. Even from afar, her heat and domineeringness were palpable.

Her exposed skin uncovered by the battle dress was snow-white like white jade, glowing with divine brilliance and captivating at a glance. This group of cosmic gods was clearly a small military unit. They tore through the sky, many wearing expressions of excitement!
