Beastmaster of the Ages

Chapter 4284 - Two Old Geezers

Chapter 4284 - Two Old Geezers

Instantly, numerous cosmic gods turned their gazes to Tianming. Most of them had already forgotten about him. Over the years, it was the first imperial son who led them in battle, and it was his strength that earned their trust.

Under their scrutiny, Tianming looked up at the massive, beast-like Violetmoon Fortress before him and smiled. "Do you really want to hear my opinion?" He asked Li Tianzi.

"Of course," Li Tianzi replied. "You gave us the information. You can chime in."

Tianming shook his head. "That’s not what I mean. Will you follow my arrangements completely without asking why?"

Li Tianzi was taken aback. The primocosmic gods around him shared a look, hesitant to speak.

He hadn't even said anything!

A long, searching look crossed Li Tianzi’s face, quickly followed by a smile. "I heard you did well in the Dongshen Arena. This is an important matter, but I believe in you and I’m willing to give you a chance to prove yourself."

"Alright!" Tianming nodded, his gaze fiery.

Before anyone else could voice their opinions, Tianming said, "He and I are leaving for a while. The entire army will remain here and await orders. Princess Qing will assume command for the time being.”

“He” was referring to Li Tianzi.

"What?"

They were somewhat puzzled by Tianming’s words. Their attack was clearly focused on speed and catching the enemy off guard. If the entire army remained on standby, they would be discovered and lose their advantage, making it even harder to capture the Chaos Star Ruin. Not only was Tianming leaving with Li Tianzi, but these expert primocosmic gods were to be ordered around by Princess Qing’s clone?

The primocosmic gods of Nullity looked at Li Tianzi with a mix of confusion and worry. This was a huge matter! These 300 million heavencosmic gods didn't even know what they were supposed to do. Chaos was more likely to erupt in a situation like this. Their worry and anxiousness were understandable.

"Imperial Son, just tell us your plan. That way, we can prepare ourselves," Mu Changfeng said.

"There's no time. Just follow my orders and don't ask too many questions." With that, Tianming headed to the side. His cold, dictatorial tone left everyone speechless.

"First Imperial Son..."

They looked at Li Tianzi, hoping he would resume command and coordinate an immediate response.

"Every wasted second is a missed opportunity we won't get back." Mu Changfeng shook his head. He was Mu Qingqing and Mu Lang’s uncle. Naturally, he was concerned and upset because of his nephew’s suffering.

“Then let’s not waste time. Listen to what he says.” Li Tianzi finished speaking, then his towering, 90,000-meter-tall body vanished into the clouds, disappearing from the army’s sight along with Tianming.

“This...”

The primocosmic gods looked at one another with worry etched on their faces, their hearts heavy.

“What are you doing? You’ve seen what the imperial son was capable of. Why doubt him at a time like this?” Mu Qingqing said, somewhat annoyed.

“No...” Mu Changfeng shook his head. “Qingqing, this is an important matter. The imperial son has changed since his rebirth. We’re afraid he’ll miss the opportunity because of his arrogance.”

“Shut up and obey orders. He'll be responsible if anything goes wrong,” Mu Qingqing said.

"Yes." Upon hearing this, Mu Changfeng nodded slowly, letting out a helpless sigh.

"Princess Qing, don't be upset. Marshal Changfeng is just worried about your brother..."

The others tried to ease the tension. The army had already arrived, and with each passing moment of idleness chipping away at their chances of victory, they grew more uneasy.

Mu Qingqing said nothing more, silently watching Violetmoon Fortress, her eyes filled with hatred.

"Qingqing, without knowledge of our objective, the troops are unsettled. I’m heading to the east side to calm them down," Mu Changfeng said.

"Thank you, Uncle," Mu Qingqing replied.

With a troubled nod, Mu Changfeng disappeared from her sight.

In the dark sandstorm in the Inverse Battlefield, two young men, who looked identical except for the color of their hair, headed towards Violetmoon Fortress from a different location.

"Behind this fortress lies the Violetmoon Chaos Star Ruin." Li Tianzi looked at the white-haired young man beside him and asked, "Have you identified who’s in charge?"

Tianming chuckled. “It’s two old geezers. They’re old acquaintances of mine."

"Oh, so you know them?" Li Tianzi was surprised. "Who are they?"

"The one from the violetblitzians is called Lin Rong.”

Tianming was reminded of Lightning Manor in Vermilion Bird. Back then, Lightning Seigneur, Lin Zhao, had several brothers, and the third one was named “Lin Rong.” During the Sanctum Replacement Challenge, Lin Rong fought against Wei Tiancang's younger brother, Wei Qing. As he recalled, the man was treacherous and repulsive.

To Tianming's surprise, the man existed here as well. In the Realm of Chaos, Lin Rong was Imperator Jian’s third uncle and Lin Xiaoting’s third granduncle. He was an old man, an elder from the same generation as Tianming and Li Tianzi’s grandfather. A cosmic god of this age was approaching the end of his lifespan, so his fighting capabilities had surely diminished. Nonetheless, he was not to be underestimated given his considerable height.

Lin Rong was living comfortably in this fortress like a retired emperor.

"Who’s the other one?" Upon hearing Lin Rong’s name, Li Tianzi remained indifferent. These old men posed no threat to him in terms of combat power.

"Another old geezer named Yueling Hong." Tianming smiled, shaking his head.

He was even more familiar with this name. Yueling Hong was the grandfather of Yueling Long and Yueling Ji, the old leader of the Yueling clan, who had fought Wei Tiancang in the Sanctum Replacement Challenge. He was an obnoxious old man who took advantage of his seniority.

Though the events in Ignispolis were long past, the repugnant nature of those old fogeys left a deep impression on Tianming. Of course, he didn't have to link people from both realms together. Lin Rong and Yueling Hong from Ignispolis were merely mortals, while Violetmoon Fortress was under the joint command of two “retired emperors” leading over 200 million heavencosmic gods. This army was equivalent to nearly a billion cosmic gods from the Primordial Sands. After all, they started at a thousand meters tall.

"Are there any other powerful experts?" Li Tianzi asked.

"There are quite a few other key figures, over thirty primocosmic gods," Tianming said.

"You’re amazing at gathering intel.”
