Chapter 4290 – A Massive Profit
Chapter 4290 – A Massive Profit
For the Yueling and violetblitzian cosmic gods, the situation was nothing short of a double catastrophe. From the outside, Nullity cosmic gods poured in for the kill, while from within, Li Tianming’s ghoul legion burst forth like a tide of death.
Two devastating assaults formed a true pincer attack that immediately drove them into despair.
Just moments ago, this army of over a hundred million had been smug and triumphant after hearing news of the Primospirit Ancestral Tree. Yet before they could even celebrate, they were hit by three crushing blows in succession, beaten so hard that even their blood and tears were blasted out of them!
One side of cosmic gods fought with rage, passion, and overwhelming momentum. The other side, stunned by repeated defeats and crushed between two fronts, fell into utter confusion and chaos.
This battlefield had been orchestrated by Tianming. There had never been any suspense; the conclusion had already been decided before it started.
Tianming himself barely needed to lift a finger. After summoning the ghoul legion to assist Li Tianzi, he simply stood aside and watched the show unfold.
Though this war was still on the scale of cosmic god battles in the Primordial Sands, it looked much grander, more magnificent, and more blindingly brilliant.
But with Tianming’s wealth of experience, this was no different from a mortal clash of flesh and blood.
Next, in the battlefield of peak experts, Li Tianzi personally slew Yueling Hong and then led his primocosmic gods to battle the enemy’s thirty or so primocosmic gods.
Meanwhile, in the general battlefield, three hundred million heavencosmic gods and ten billion ghouls encircled the remaining one hundred million survivors of the enemy forces. The more they killed, the more overwhelming their advantage grew.
“Violetmoon Fortress... has some... dazzling radiances...” Yin Chen reminded Tianming.
“Oh?” Tianming still had that hundred-fold sized dazzling radiance, but who ever complained about too many treasures?
At once, he left the brutal main battlefield and slipped through several doors into the fortress that now stood almost undefended. The Realm of Chaos had no formations, and he easily passed through a series of hidden gates to find over a hundred dazzling radiances before him.
They varied in size, but together their total volume was roughly equivalent to two hundred times of a standard unit. “Another massive profit!”
Defeating a fortress didn’t move Tianming much, but gaining such tangible spoils filled him with real satisfaction.
“Without the three hundred million Mu Clan cosmic gods, I couldn’t have entered to collect these treasures so openly. But without me, they couldn’t have perfectly captured the fortress and freed their people either. So, Nullity and I really mutually benefitted.”
After this collaboration, Tianming could feel that his rapport and camaraderie with the Nullity cosmic gods had grown much stronger.
Even without any special bond, he would never refuse a mutually beneficial alliance.
After all, the Realm of Chaos was still part of the greater universe. Tianming’s imperial ambitions were to unify everything under the banner of the Tianming Dynasty.
That was why he sought to resolve the problem of the Realm of Chaos’s omnisentient threads.
He had first sensed the power of collective faith at the Dongshen Arena, so he planned to return there someday to seek deeper answers.
For now, he simply and efficiently gathered up all the dazzling radiances. “How delightful, leveling up will be a breeze with such a stocked granary.”
Smiling contentedly, Tianming left the fortress. Upon emerging, he saw that the battle outside was nearly over.
The Yueling and violetblitzian forces had been annihilated. Most were killed, and the others either wounded, surrendered, or had fled.
Even the surrenderers had been struck down and reduced to cosmic cosmic-god essences by Li Tianzi’s order.
Thus, by the time Tianming returned, there were no more resistors left.
“How’s it looking?” Tianming walked up beside Li Tianzi, gazing at the countless glowing enemy cosmic-god essences before them.
“Roughly seventy million died, either in battle or your explosion. And we have about one hundred and fifty million cosmic-god essences,” Li Tianzi reported, eyes burning with fierce excitement. Clearly, in all their years of skirmishes, they had never seen casualties on this scale.
“So, around twenty million or so escaped?” Tianming asked, a little dissatisfied.
“No helping it. There were too many of them, some always get lucky and slip through. In truth, the difference between us and them isn’t that vast,” Li Tianzi replied. Then his eyes grew cold as he looked toward one direction. “But I focused on killing their primocosmic gods. Not a single one of them escaped.”
That direction held a cluster of massive orbs. Among them was Yueling Hong’s. Yin Chen had also deposited Lin Rong’s cosmic-god essence there.
“Skyplunder imperial sons!” Those thirty-odd primocosmic gods were still roaring with rage.
Yueling Hong bellowed, “I am the grandfather of the four imperatores! You two little bastards, you’ve committed the greatest crime in the Realm of Chaos! You’ve brought calamity upon yourselves! When Li Muyang learns of your reckless audacity, he’ll die of rage! You’ll both be on your knees begging mercy from my four granddaughters before long!”
Beside him, Lin Rong gazed at the devastated battlefield, his heart bleeding with grief.
“Nullity has no allies or friends! Now look at what you’ve done, sparking war among three starcages. You’ve lost all moral ground! You’ve broken every rule and must bear every merciless consequence!” Lin Rong howled.
And truthfully, their words did make some of the ordinary Nullity cosmic gods uneasy. Was this the beginning of a full-blown, no-return war?
Before, though peace had only been on the surface, they could at least survive in it. Now, despite their epic victory, as their bloodlust cooled and reason returned, many began to remember the power gap between their Nullity and the other two great starcages.
After all, even on the Inverse battlefield, those two controlled numerous other fortresses with vast armies! They had also long coveted the Chaos Star Ruins held by Nullity.
Once this war began, it would never end with just one battle.
Now, their leaders needed to steady their hearts. Amid countless watching eyes, Tianming said to Li Tianzi, “They’re rather noisy, don’t you think?”
“I agree,” Li Tianzi replied calmly.
“Then why don’t we return the favor? For now, let’s send these one hundred and seventy million cosmic-god essences to the Primospirit Ancestral Tree. Let it drain them dry and let them have a taste of their own medicine,” Tianming said.
“I like that idea,” Li Tianzi approved.
The two brothers were in perfect sync, neither backing down in the slightest. Instead, they boldly declared judgment upon all the defeated.
