Chapter 76 A Little Ruthless
76 A Little Ruthless
Yan Kuan was sleeping at home. He had gambled the night before and had won a lot of money.
He didn’t get home until dawn.
He hadn’t slept for long when the door was slammed open. He woke up with a start and was shocked to see three people walking into the room.
“Wh-Who are you?”
Lin Hengxi removed his sunglasses and ordered, “Go, get him off the bed.”
The two men beside him immediately stepped forward.
Yan Kuan was shocked. He subconsciously reached for the knife under his pillow, but the two tall and strong men took him away.
He struggled to get up but was kicked down by Lin Hengxi.
“Who are you guys?” Yan Kuan’s face was filled with shock and fear. This man was as handsome as a rich young man, but his eyes were full of evil, which gave Yan Kuan a bad feeling.
Lin Hengxi raised an eyebrow and said, “Yan Kuan, don’t waste my time. Tell me, who told your son to steal someone else’s admission ticket?”
Yan Kuan’s face changed. He replied, “I… I don’t know what you’re talking about. My son would never do such a thing.”
Lin Hengxi’s lips curled into a sneer. “I see you won’t give up until the end. Go and cut off a section of his little finger. If this hand is crippled, can he still maintain his title as a thief god in the future?”
Before Yan Kuan could react, the man on his left hand grabbed his ring finger and cut it off. The man’s action was so fast that Yan Kuan had to wait for 30 seconds before he could feel the pain.
Lin Hengxi’s eyes did not move. He said, “Don’t shout! I hate it when people are loud. I’ll give you one more chance. Tell me, who told your son to do this?”
Yan Kuan knew that he was a ruthless man. He begged for mercy. “I really didn’t know. My son… Ah…”
The middle finger of his other hand had been cut off.
The speed was so fast that he couldn’t even react.
“I’ve told you before, my patience is limited. If you don’t want to tell me, that’s fine. I’ll go to the police station and get your son out. Then, I’ll cut off ten of his fingers. This way, he won’t make any mistakes in the future.”
Although Yan Kuan was a scoundrel, he still cared about his son. He was so scared that he almost vomited blood when he heard what the man said.
“No, don’t look for my son. It’s me. I forced my son to do all of this. He was not willing to do it, so I forced him. All of this has nothing to do with him. Whatever you want to do, come at me… I beg you, please don’t touch my son…”
“Tsk, I didn’t expect you to have such a deep father-son relationship, but…” Lin Hengxi smiled and said, “Haven’t you heard of this saying? During an avalanche, not a single snowflake is innocent. Your son, Yan Zhongjie, even dared to make a move, so he’s not an outsider in this matter.”
“I’ll give you one last chance. Who told you to do this? Don’t try to test my last bit of patience.”
His originally lazy expression faded, and his eyes were filled with a sinister aura.
Yan Kuan was frightened by the look in his eyes. He immediately knelt down and begged. “Please let my son go… I’ll tell you. I’m willing to tell you… It was an old lady who looked to be in her sixties. She gave me a million dollars in cash and told me to do this.”
Lin Hengxi was surprised by his words. He narrowed his eyes and looked at Yan Kuan. “An old lady?”
“That’s right,” Yan Kuan replied quickly. “The night before yesterday, around ten o’clock, an old lady stopped me when I was about to go home. She gave me a bag of cash and asked me to find a way to steal the exam admission ticket of a girl named Qin Jianxi. If I don’t do it, she will report me… She has evidence of my past crimes. I… I didn’t have a choice.”
He was filled with regret. The worst thing he should have done was to drag his son into this.
He thought that with his son’s skills, such a simple matter could be done without anyone knowing. After all, the person he was dealing with was an ignorant female student.
