Chapter 3095: Sansa's Scare

Chapter 3095: Sansa’s Scare

Date: Unspecified

Time: Unspecified

Location: Myriad Realms, Lil’ Red Storm Realm, Freedom Megalopolis

“What are you doing, Your Highness?” Sansa asked in concern as she sensed the changes occurring throughout the realm.

The two suns hanging in the sky were moving unnaturally. It was as if an invisible hand had grabbed them and was slowly pulling them away from the Lil’ Red Storm Realm.

At the same time, the planet’s rotation began accelerating. The changes were subtle at first, but they quickly became impossible to ignore.

Day and night began passing at an increasingly abnormal rate as the realm’s climate rapidly deteriorated. The loss of solar heat, combined with the accelerated planetary revolution, caused temperatures across the realm to plummet.

Within moments, regions that had once enjoyed a comfortable climate were approaching subzero temperatures. And Dalia’s actions had an unintended, though hardly unwelcome, side effect.

The frost spreading from the Frost Elves suddenly began expanding much faster. The cold that had previously been limited to Freedom City now found an environment perfectly suited to its growth.

“What are you doing, Your Highness?” Sansa repeated, this time unable to hide her concern.

Dalia calmly watched the frost spread across her realm. “Isn’t it obvious?”

Her eyes remained fixed on the horizon as the temperature continued to fall. The entire Lil’ Red Storm Realm was gradually turning into a frozen world. Dalia smiled faintly, “I’m giving the Snow Elven Crown Prince the battlefield he wants. So we can get this over with sooner.”

“Your Highness, I suggest you stop,” Sansa warned, her tone turning unusually serious. “Your actions might affect the trap Master has carefully laid.”

Dalia glanced at her but didn’t immediately stop. Sansa understood why.

From Dalia’s perspective, turning the Lil’ Red Storm Realm into a frozen battlefield would force the Snow Elven Crown Prince to reveal himself sooner. But from what Sansa had seen through her Innate Calamity, the Crown Prince was not the type to blindly walk into an obvious trap. He was cautious. Painfully cautious.

When the masked individual had invaded his territory and taken away both the Froslings and the Frost Elves, the Snow Elven Crown Prince had initially assumed that the attacker belonged to an ancient Ruler-class force.

That was precisely why he hadn’t immediately activated the curses hidden within the Frost Elves. Instead, he had used them to observe. To listen, to gather information and judge the situation before deciding on an appropriate response.

Through the curse, the Snow Elven Crown Prince gradually learned more about his enemies. And what he discovered completely overturned his original assumptions.

The masked attacker didn’t belong to an ancient Ruler-class force. In fact, he didn’t appear to belong to any major Ruler-class faction at all. As far as the information he could gather suggested, the attacker was simply a rogue Ruler-class entity acting on his own.

That revelation should have prompted an immediate response. But the Snow Elven Crown Prince was still cautious. He waited and continued listening through the curse, searching for anything he might have overlooked. He wanted to make sure the apparent weakness of his enemy wasn’t deliberately being presented to lure him into a trap.

However, the longer he waited, the more information he gathered. And every piece pointed toward the same conclusion. The masked attacker was exactly what he appeared to be.

A righteous Ruler-class entity with a handful of capable friends and subordinates, temporarily hiding in a barren realm located in one of the forgotten backwaters of the Myriad Realms. There was no ancient organization standing behind him. No hidden army waiting beyond the horizon, no powerful Ruler-class force claiming the realm.

Once the Snow Elven Crown Prince became convinced that he had uncovered the truth, his hesitation disappeared. His carefully cultivated Frost Elves had been taken. His experiment, the foundation of a project that had consumed several millennia of his life, was now sitting within the territory of what appeared to be an isolated rogue Ruler.

And, as far as he could tell, the enemy had no powerful faction capable of retaliating if he made his move. That was when the Snow Elven Crown Prince finally activated the curses. And the frost began spreading across the Lil’ Red Storm Realm.

But now that Dalia was openly using a Celestial-level array formation to alter the climate of her entire realm, Sansa feared that the Snow Elven Crown Prince might reconsider his decision to attack.

After all, such an array formation was not something an ordinary lone Ruler-class entity could possess.

Even among Ruler-class existences, mastering array formations to the Celestial level was an entirely different matter. If the supposed rogue Ruler-class entity truly possessed a Celestial-level array master, then that meant the enemy was hiding a Sage-tier Array Master.

And that was precisely the kind of existence the Snow Elven Crown Prince had every reason to avoid.

Even with his army of clones, he wouldn’t recklessly challenge a lone Sage-tier Array Master within a prepared battlefield.

That would be suicide. His clone army against a Celestial-level array formation would be like throwing grass into a lawn mower. They could come in overwhelming numbers, but the result would remain the same. The clones would simply be harvested.

Sansa was afraid that the moment the Snow Elven Crown Prince sensed the fluctuations of the Celestial array formation, he would immediately realize that something was wrong with the information he had gathered through the curse.

He had already spent so long verifying whether the masked attacker was truly acting alone.

Now, just as he was finally convinced that he had uncovered the truth, Dalia was unintentionally providing evidence that his original suspicions might have been correct all along.

If that happened, the Crown Prince might simply abandon the Frost Elves. They were valuable. But not valuable enough to risk his own life against an unknown force capable of deploying a Celestial-level array formation.

That was why Sansa suggested that Dalia stop. Not only could she scare away the Snow Elven Crown Prince, but she would also expose the existence of the Celestial array formation and its approximate location for absolutely nothing.

In the worst-case scenario, the Crown Prince would retreat, reassess everything, and become even more cautious in the future.

Her Master’s carefully constructed deception would have accomplished the exact opposite of what he intended. By trying to end the battle faster, Dalia risked undoing all the work her younger brother had put into making sure the battle happened in the first place.
