Chapter 3166: Rudimentary Lava Domain

Location: Myriad Realms, Realm Of True Evil, Shell Island
“You are as smart as one, aren’t you?” I said, stepping toward the Scarred Truevil.
Mother Truevils were special. Their body’s hormones made them tame and empathic, igniting their maternal instincts and giving their meaninglessly long and tireless lives a meaning and purpose. So, some were even willing to sacrifice themselves to give that meaning to their lives and complete that purpose.
“…” The Scarred Truevil didn’t move. She calmly watched me carefully stepping toward her.
Soon, I stood before her, maintaining eye contact. I extended my actual hand to pat her head. Suddenly, a massive explosion burst outward from the Scarred Truevil’s body, the fiery shock wave dying in my boundless stretched barrier. But my Truevil calamity daughter gems weren’t. Along with Mama Truevil’s corpse, they were thrown into the lava.
As the dust cleared, in the huge crater on the beach surrounded by charred vegetation, the Scarred Truevil and I stood face to face.
She wasn’t done. She opened her beak and shot a compressed supersonic beam of lava at me. As the beam entered my boundless stretching barrier, the temperature grew like ten thousand burning suns had entered it. The heat from the beam, burning through the barrier, punched a scorching hole through my chest.
That was when I figured out why she truly hesitated to attack me. It wasn’t that she didn’t understand what I did to her cannon fodders, but that she couldn’t find my core like she did Mama Truevil’s.
As my body restructured, the Scarred Truevil’s right upper arm slammed into my face, covered in a layer of magma. On impact, I felt like being hit by the sun on my face. With that, my body was sent flying, skipping off the lava.
I mobilized my celestial force to bring myself to a halt, only to sense the Scarred Truevil shoot out of the lava beneath me, her beak wide open, about to swallow me whole. But I used my ‘If You See Me, I See You’ ability to arrive behind her and forged all of my celestial power around my hand like the head of a mace, then slammed it into her back shell with all of my might, sending her skipping back onto Shell Island.
Yes, I had decided to try turning this Truevil into my Bloodkin. Which was why I didn’t use my calamity daughter gem on her when I had a clear opening.
With her down here, I don’t have to ever be worried about being short of money for the foreseeable future.
As I watched Scarred Truevil skipping on the island, the lava seemed to move, flowing into the island and swallowing her back into the pool of lava gathered within the shell around the island.
Soon, the lava beneath me began to churn, forming a whirlpool, and then slowly, a small but freaking hurricane with me at the center. As I looked at the spinning walls of the lava hurricane, I realized it seemed like a complicated way to deploy a rule domain.
I spotted the Scarred Truevil surfing in the walls of the hurricane on her belly. As our eyes met, her massive form, to my amazement, retreated into her flat shell. Now, a massive oval-segmented flat shell was surfing on the spinning lava walls.
I had no idea what she was planning to do, but I deployed my celestial Ice Rule domain, freezing the whole massive lava hurricane with her shell in it.
Compared to her rudimentary Rule domain, my celestial Rule domain was much, much stronger, not to mention my Ice Rule Stream.
As I waited for her next move I noticed something strange. The shell stuck in the frozen lava lost its color and turned into frozen lava. I immediately tried to sense her, only to learn that she was never in the Rule domain.
Just then, I felt another one of my Truevil calamity daughter gems die. As I retrieved my celestial Rule domain and broke the massive frozen hurricane, floating out, I swear I saw her chuckle as she crushed the calamity daughter gem of the last Truevil calamity daughter gem before jumping back into the lava.
Soon, I saw the entire lava within the shell slowly surge into the air, surprisingly, not touching the island, only the air above it. Then the lava dropped into the pool, leaving behind a massive, obsidian-scaled serpent-like creature with the head of a Truevil a few feet from me. Its long body moved through the shell like waves, with lava dripping from its body.
Instead of getting intimidated by its massive size, I noticed that its obsidian scales looked like the shell of the Scarred Truevil. I used my Soul Pupils and immediately found that her shell was among the scales on the belly of the hardened lava serpentine golem of sorts she had created using her mastery of the Lava Rule.
However, as I tried to move forward, weaving past its massive body, I kept ending up back in the place I started.
I had long understood that she had a more profound understanding of rules and their meanings than most enemies so far, and now I was beginning to realize that the serpentine thing wasn’t a golem. It was an array, and she was the core. Now the question was, what did the array do other than keep me trapped at my initial point in space?
I didn’t have to wait long, as the obsidian scales of the serpentine creature loosened and slowly revealed to be actual Truevils, except for the core.
My body went cold seeing that these weren’t just Truevils, but undead Truevils, and there were hundreds of thousands of them.
Did she kill them all? I wondered.
As I watched the hordes of undead Truevils rush toward me, I contemplated whether the array only kept me trapped at my initial point in space or them too, because instead of coming at me directly, they were moving in a pattern. It seemed random at first, but there was an obvious pattern.
