Chapter 3188: Superposition

Chapter 3188: Superposition

Date: Unspecified

Time: Unspecified

Location: Myriad Realms, Realm Of True Evil

My escape from the Realm of True Evil was a lot more complicated than making the difficult choice of wasting a Devil Merchant Token on Scar while getting on the bad side of the rulers of the Owlape Empire.

Knowing that the Mulias Royal Family would try to locate the True Evil Devil Merchant, forget divinations, I knew the Demon Merchant Code wouldn’t be trusted to keep our logs secret if it were offered the right price. So, instead of having the True Evil travel to one of my three realms or Azorheim, I had her travel to a huge meteorite that I used the Demon Merchant Code’s inter-realm exploration function to find, floating in the nearby void but far from the Mulias Royal Family’s space seal and space sensors.

Arriving there, I immediately exited Maworm’s stomach and, along with my clones, immediately arranged Dalia’s inter-realm teleportation array formations on a meteorite, along with a self-destruct sequence, ensuring that the meteorite would be reduced to ash as soon as we teleported, destroying the array and any trace of us being here.

I repeated this process a couple dozen times, hopping from one space rock to another, leaving behind nothing but ash. Only when my Causality Certainty Curse assured me that we were in the clear did I have Henricks come pick us up, taking Maworm to our Temporal Cave in Azorheim. Neither I nor Scar could make any public appearance in our current form. Especially me.

Meanwhile, Scar could technically blend in because her Primordial Form vastly varied from the Truevils in terms of their stride, posture, and massive upper arms. But her face instantly screamed True Evil.

Returning to the Temporal Cave, since I would be busy studying the noise and trying to revert my form, I made separate training spaces within it for Henricks and Scar, while her hatchlings stayed behind in Maworm’s stomach.

Interestingly, despite Scar’s persuasion, none of those little shithead hatchlings became Bloodkins but regular Calamity Daughter Gems.

Yep, Scar had chosen to have the hatchlings become Bloodkins, but to our disbelief, the hatchlings didn’t accept the Calamity Daughter Gems without resistance like Scar did, and as such, were able to inherit the cursed primordial bloodline. Scar didn’t seem to be disappointed by this. It seems her maternal instinct didn’t get her to coddle the hatchlings. As long as they were alive and reached adulthood, their jobs were done.

Fortunately, Azorheim had a very strict customer privacy policy in all of the known Myriad Realms and wouldn’t peek into the Temporal Caves. As such, this was the perfect place for me to hide and research the noise while trying to revert to my original form.

Since the Hive Spirit could not hear it and I couldn’t use my Soul Pupils on my memories, I was all on my own, like the first time I was transmigrated into this body back in the Card World. That was an exaggeration since I could still use the Hive Spirit and Soul Pupils to study the effects of the noise itself.

But first, my goal was to learn what the noise was. As in, was it the language of World Calamity Trees or just a mental or spiritual signal of theirs? And how were they producing it?

I was a World Calamity Tree too, granted a mutant and hybrid, I was one too in all my capacity. So, if I figured out what the noise actually was, I could figure out how the World Calamity Tree produced it and whether I could produce it. And if I could produce it, I could then figure out why I produced it and what purpose it had in the grand scheme of things.

For now, all I knew was that the noise was broadcasted by the Calamity Daughter Seed Truevils. It was able to alter my form and keep it that way by remaining in my memories.

So, the first thing I did was have Hive Spirit research my World Calamity Tree form’s soul pathways and find out if there were any special spiritual, mental, or physical vocal organs present. What I meant was if there was a part of the World Calamity Tree that could communicate.

I didn’t mean the mental connection between a World Calamity Tree and its Daughter Seeds but an actual form of communication, as I was positive that this noise wasn’t produced using mental energy, even though it was broadcasted using the mental connection between them and the fact that it was hiding and active in my memory.

I had tried to use resonance to try and mimic the noise, but the problem was I couldn’t keep up because it was exhibiting duality and what I could only assume was superposition.

Sometimes it was mental noise, sometimes it was spiritual noise, and sometimes it was both mental and spiritual noise.

Due to my duality trait, I was able to resonate with it continuously in the spirit and mental state, but when it entered a superposition state, both mental and spiritual, I was lost.

Yes, I existed in the spiritual plane and the physical plane simultaneously too, thanks to my duality trait, but I could see something when I tried to resonate. I wasn’t producing a single noise but two noises being produced simultaneously, one in the mental and one in the spiritual state. But for some reason, it wasn’t coming as one superimposed noise.

The problem wasn’t just that. I was using resonance to mimic the noise and failing to even do that, not actually producing a noise that could be in a spiritual state, mental state, and superimposed state.

This was a failure but also showed that it was highly likely that the World Calamity Tree had a specialised organ or method to produce such noise. One couldn’t simply create that noise. That part became apparent when even someone with mastery over resonance and who existed simultaneously in the spiritual and physical planes failed to mimic it.
