Chaos' Heir

Chapter 1272: Complete

Chapter 1272: Complete

Khan had long since grown used to that attention and overwhelming respect. He had become one of the most popular topics on the network ever since Monica exposed their relationship, and his authority had only increased since then.

Liiza was similarly famous and respected on Nitis, but the Niqols didn’t work like that. They didn’t indulge in grand welcomes or respectful showcases. They had also been busy rebuilding their planet in those ten years, so Liiza had never experienced anything close to what her white eyes illuminated.

Khan was still a selfless and honest kid during his private time with Liiza, but his figure embodied something entirely different for the rest of the world. His name demanded utmost respect and gravity, especially inside his force.

Moreover, since Khan was a leader, a Thilku Lord, a noble, and the closest thing to a proper King, Liiza now shared part of his status, if not all of it.

It didn’t help that the entire world knew how Khan was with his women, and Liiza was no random partner. She was Khan’s wife, sealed in a lifelong union with him, which would reflect on how everyone treated her.

As free-spirited as Liiza was, the scene had a profound impact on her. That was her first time witnessing undeniable proof of Khan’s political achievements, and the event gave birth to an instinctive sense of pride and satisfaction.

Liiza didn’t care for politics, but the matter involved her husband. Khan would always be the boy from ten years ago in her eyes, but that public version of him was no less pleasant, to say the least.

A blush spread through Liiza’s cheeks. She had to keep most of her thoughts to herself in that public situation, but the Niqols’ customs demanded something from her, something she had never been able to do properly due to a series of circumstances.

Khan knew how to act in those situations, so he kept his head straight in pride, embodying what his troops wanted him to be. However, a cold hand suddenly reached for his face, clinging to his neck to pull him into equally cold lips.

That wasn’t the same as publicly dragging Khan among the trees during a party, but it remained pretty close. The entire world had to see and learn that Khan belonged to Liiza, and his troops were a good start.

Liiza kept the kiss short, throwing an instinctive scolding look at Khan before refocusing on the crowd below. Khan briefly studied her, but she pretended not to notice his blue light, so he eventually moved it to the sea station below, too.

Khan stepped forward, a faint smile broadening on his face, and Liiza followed. The troops retreated, making room for the incoming couple. Only Garret remained in that now-empty spot, and some relief rose inside him when he noticed that the structure’s surfaces didn’t risk falling apart.

Liiza’s presence worked even better than her red tattoos in that peaceful environment. She and Khan could land on the floating platform without destroying anything or scaring anyone away, allowing an immediate conversation with Garret.

“My Prince. My Princess,” Garret repeated in a far quieter tone, lowering his head in respect.

“This is Garret Bizelli, one of my lead scientists,” Khan introduced. “Garret, this is Liiza, my wife.”

The introduction forced Garret to lift his head, only for him to see Liiza’s polite, traditional bow. At her core, Liiza belonged to the wilds, so she didn’t wear any pretense of superiority.

“My Princess,” Garret called. “It’s an honor to meet you finally. We have all heard countless great things about you from Prince Khan.”

“As I have heard many great things about you, Mister Bizelli,” Liiza announced, straightening herself. “My husband can’t wait for you to run all kinds of tests on me.”

Liiza even placed a hand on her waist, sending a clear message that Garret had already been updated on. News spread fast, and Garret belonged to Khan’s inner circle, so he had obviously learned about Liiza’s pregnancy.

“You are too kind, My Princess,” Garret responded, choosing to ignore the second part of her statement.

“Did you move a sea station for the Kros?” Khan asked, sensing that change in the area’s symphony.

“I did, My Prince,” Garret confirmed. “I figured having the negotiations so close to this location might have been problematic, so I settled the Kros there.”

“You did well,” Khan praised. “Have the soldiers prepare a banquet there. We’ll host the negotiations like proper Thilku.”

“It will be done, My Prince,” Garret stated.

Khan wanted to say much more, but all the other problems required the negotiations with the Kros to end first or private conversations with specific parties. Khan couldn’t handle them now, but one topic was an exception.

“What about the other thing?” Khan vaguely asked, but Garret knew exactly what he meant.

“We built the ship,” Garret revealed. “You’ll have to test it, My Prince, but it should meet your needs.”

That was the easiest part of the mission. Garret only had to replicate ancient and alien blueprints, adjusting them to modern technology. Of course, Khan had deemed it easy simply because he had put his best scientists on the job.

“As for the flight route,” Garret continued, his expression becoming sterner than it already was. “It’s still incomplete, but we sent all the necessary checkpoints and structures already. We only have to wait for them to get in position.”

Khan frowned before understanding dawned upon him. Those structures were already flying toward their destination. They had a head start, hinting at something that almost made Khan forget about all his other problems.

“Are you saying …?” Khan questioned.

“If you wish to, My Prince,” Garret explained, “You can set off immediately. You’ll have to contain your flying speed, and we still need to perform some tests, but everything should be in place by the time you reach those specific locations.”

Liiza felt she had understood the unmentioned topic, and her husband’s reaction eventually confirmed that hunch. Khan’s eyes widened, sending intense emotions through the mental connection, telling Liiza precisely how meaningful that event was.

At once, Liiza knew that the trip to the Nak’s home world had become a possibility.
