Chapter 1669: Chapter 1023: Path of Void, Body Transformation

Swallowing a lotus seed of the Tiaoist Intent Sacred Lotus, Yang Zhenshan immersed himself in the Void Dao Intent.

The comprehension of Dao Intent carried a magical allure; as long as you could lose yourself within it, you would forget all external things, including time.

In the blink of an eye, ten years passed, yet Yang Zhenshan was still absorbed in his enlightenment, unable to extricate himself.

During these ten years, the Spirit Source Land underwent many changes.

At this moment, Jade City, viewed from the sky, resembled a piece of jade bathed in the aura of ethereal beauty.

The North Slope mountains were like brushes dipped in ink, rising straight to the city walls. The houses at the foot of the mountains undulated with the terrain, like a gray-brown ribbon winding around the green slopes.

The Spirit River sliced through the heart of the city, its water as clear and green as glaze. Stone bridges lay across the river, their arches like rings, stringing the currents into a strand of jade beads. On both sides, red buildings overlapped intricately, eaves and angles interlocking, with their blue-tile roofs glowing softly in the sunlight. The buildings’ alleyways formed a network, their light fragmented by the green canopy of Spirit Trees.

Within the city, forests of Spirit Trees grew, the pink mist of Jade Spirit Peach Trees enveloping the alleyways, the broad leaves of Light Spirit Fruit Trees casting deep shadows on the white walls, and the branches of Wind Spirit Fruit Trees laden with their white fruit, their fragrance seeming to pierce the clouds. On the main boulevards, the trees formed a green corridor; the stone-paved paths beneath shimmered with moisture, with occasional carriage wheels leaving shallow tracks. Magnolias in the courtyard peered over walls, their white flowers reflecting the blue tiles, while mosses at the base of the walls spread along the brick crevices, intertwining with the roots of Spirit Trees underground.

Outside the South City Gate, a long river split into several water veins, weaving like silver threads through thousands of acres of Spiritual Rice fields. The field ridges were like a chessboard, with rice ears shimmering silver-green, and the wind stirred up waves upon waves. The water wheels on the dikes creaked as they turned, the droplets brought up by the wooden wheels sparkling like shattered stars in the sunlight. The white walls of farmhouses dotted the fields, like jade buttons in emerald silk, with kitchen smoke rising straight into the clouds from the eaves.

At the ancient ferry in the West City, the docks were crowded with merchant ships, white sails packed closely, their masts forming a forest, the dull sound of ship planks against stone steps seemingly able to reach the clouds.

The entire city was enveloped in a subtle spirit aura, with mountains, rivers, trees, and fields woven into a soft net. Even the air carried the sweet freshness of Spiritual Rice and the richness of Spiritual Trees, appearing from above as a living jade soaked in the essence of heaven and earth.

In a hundred years, what was once a small village had transformed into a magnificent and prosperous Immortal City.

Currently, Jade City spans over thirty miles in width from north to south, and more than sixty miles in length from east to west, from the western bank of the Spirit River to the eastern city’s plane tree forest.

With a population of over six hundred thousand, the city’s industries encompass herbal processing, Elixir crafting, ore refinement, spiritual weapon forging, Magic Artifact crafting, talisman paper production, and silk weaving.

It’s fair to say that Jade City houses all the low-end manufacturing of the Spirit Source Land, and its output not only meets local demand but is also sold across most of the Wanhua Western Region.

From the Qingli Dynasty to Qingli Immortal City, from the Sea of Spirit to the Wanlin Mountain Range, and further to the Southern Wilderness, extending east across the Yunxiao Mountain Range to the White Cloud Immortal City and True Yang Immortal City, Jade City’s products can be found throughout much of the Wanhua Western Region.

Besides Jade City, the Spirit Source Land has two other material production sites: one is Flame Mountain, and the other is Changqing City.

Flame Mountain specializes in Alchemy and Artifact refining industries and is much more advanced than Jade City, focusing primarily on Second-Order Pill and Magical Treasure crafting.

The abodes of practitioners like Yang Jizhen, Zhang Hexuan, and Yang Zongyuan are all located on Flame Mountain.

Changqing City primarily focuses on cultivating Second-Order and Third-Order spirit plants and spiritual medicine, such as Five Elements Fruit Trees, Green Profound Fruit Trees, Spirit Pine Trees, Evergreen Scale Vines, and Bodhi Trees, all of which have established cultivation zones in Changqing City.

These spirit plants and spiritual medicine will not mature quickly, but in the future, they will be among the most valuable resources of the Spirit Source Land.

Apart from Changqing City, the Spirit Source Land is also constructing new cities.

To the north is Longevity City, to the south is Changming City, and to the west is Changyao City.

In the heavens, the White Jade Capital holds Five Cities and Twelve Floors.

Although the current population of the Spirit Source Land is not enough to fill the five major cities, this does not prevent Ziwei Tower from laying the foundation for the five cities.

Northern Longevity City lies four thousand miles north of Jade City, situated atop a mountain a thousand zhang high, surrounded by peaks towering into the clouds.

Ziwei Tower’s plan for Longevity City is to be a city of demon beasts. Around Longevity City, multiple demon and mutant beast cultivation areas will be established, focusing on breeding demon beasts and mutant beasts.

Western Changyao City is located three thousand miles west of Jade City. That area possesses the richest mineral veins of the Spirit Source Land and will be the future site for mining spirit ores and Spirit Stones.

However, currently, there is only a small town built there, still focusing mainly on cultivating Spiritual Rice and Spirit Fruit.

Southern Changming City is on the Changming Continent. To the south of the Spirit Source Land, a vast sea has formed, with a central archipelago, of which Changming Continent is the largest island.

At present, the Spirit Source Land has introduced a large number of marine species from the outside, and the ecosystem within the sea is gradually forming autonomously.

Changming City is located in the sea, and its future development will also rely on the ocean, focusing on cultivating aquatic spiritual objects and water-based demon beasts and mutant beasts.

Each of the five Immortal Cities focuses on different aspects but will engage in low-end industries. After achieving self-sufficiency, they will become resource production sites for the Immortal Palace in the future.

Apart from the five Immortal Cities, the Spirit Source Land will also establish various towns and villages around the Immortal Cities.

Thus, the basic framework for the future of the Spirit Source Land is already laid out, needing only gradual development and construction from this point onward.
