Chapter 1064: Unexpected Visitor [GT Ranking Bonus Chapter]

After a moment, he spoke, "Thank you for at least telling me something," his tone respectful.

He wasn’t worried about things not going his way. It wasn’t like he needed the information now to stop some Great War from happening or save anyone and stuff like that.

’I should probably ask Elder Brother,’ he concluded.

"Anything else?" Cindralis asked, her friendly tone seeming to have vanished after the mention of the First True War and the Erased Era.

Not that she was angry at Asher, her happy mood had just been spoiled, and Asher could sense it through his Emotion Perception ability.

At Cindralis’ question, Asher nodded, but he didn’t dare ask any more questions about the First True War. After all, Cindralis might just go crazy and attack. Just because Azaron was his Father didn’t necessarily mean that Cindralis was afraid of him.

After all, being weaker than someone didn’t equate to being afraid of them.

"Can I give the one-year free pass to someone else?" he asked. "Since I will be graduating, the one-year free pass has become obsolete to me," he stated.

"Who?" Cindralis asked, her mood still sour.

"William Canestane," Asher answered calmly.

Since he was leaving, he might as well give it to someone else. And since William was his first true friend in this life, he decided to just give it to him. As for Ryaen, while she was talented, unfortunately, there was only one golden card. As for Finch, Asher didn’t even remember the guy. As for Vaelric, he was a Crown Prince; he could manage.

Cindralis stayed silent for a moment as though considering it. Of course, she knew who William was. She practically knew all her students, as she wasn’t some ignorant Principal.

"No problem, I will send word to the Training Facility Building," she agreed, as there wasn’t really much to consider, as she lost nor gained nothing from this.

As Cindralis agreed, Asher rose from his seat as he had nothing more to say or talk about.

"Thank you for everything, Principal," he stated with a slight bow, then turned as he headed towards the door.

Stepping out, the door closed behind him. Asher couldn’t help but sigh as he simply took out the white orb that Berion had given him earlier and crushed it. His body vanished in a flicker of white light as he appeared in his room the next moment.

Asher collapsed onto his bed with his back against it, simply staring at the ceiling, lost in thought. His mind simply kept replaying Cindralis’ strong reaction on an endless loop as though he was going to gain any information just from looking at her face.

’I should game and calm my mind,’ Asher thought to himself as he rose from his bed with a sigh. But the moment he rose and turned in the direction of the living room, he suddenly paused as he sensed a familiar presence.

A second after Asher paused, a knock came from the door. Asher was seriously confused about why this person was here. But he didn’t stand around deliberating. He simply headed towards the door. Since he had a visitor, he might as well welcome them.

’Everybody in this world seems to have perfect timing when it comes to coming to my room,’ Asher mused to himself. After all, he had been with Cindralis for a while, and this person had never arrived earlier.

And now, he had just come back. It hadn’t even been five minutes, and someone was already looking for him.

Opening the door, a tall boy standing exactly seven feet tall could be seen standing before Asher, his stature imposing. He possessed blue eyes and black hair as he dressed in simple clothing. But anyone who saw him would know that with those muscles on his body, there was nothing simple about him.

It was Teo Swig.

"Good afternoon, Tenth Sun," Teo Swig greeted in a flat voice, his face as expressionless as ever.

Asher wanted to ask if the boy was at the wrong place, but he knew that would be a stupid question.

"How may I help you?" Asher asked, not immediately inviting him inside.

Teo Swig seemed to look around Asher’s room for a moment as though searching for a visitor before he spoke, "I wish to discuss something with you, if you are free at the moment."

Asher knew he couldn’t let Teo Swig keep standing outside, as that was a sign of disrespect, so he simply stepped aside for the boy to walk in. After all, they couldn’t exactly have a good discussion while standing at the doorway.

Asher led Teo Swig to his living room, where the seven-foot boy sat. Asher waved his hand, and a plate of sliced fruit appeared on the table with a fork, which he passed to Teo Swig alongside a jug and glass of juice. After all, Teo Swig was a visitor; he couldn’t be stingy.

Asher sat opposite the boy, wondering why he was here as silence consumed both of them. Teo Swig didn’t seem to be in a rush as he simply put a sliced apple in his mouth as though he had forgotten why he was here.

"So, what did you want to discuss?" Asher asked as his purple eyes met Teo Swig’s blue ones.

Taking a sip of the juice before him, Teo Swig began to speak, "I need a favour from you, Tenth Sun."

Asher arched an eyebrow as he wondered what kind of favour this guy needed.

"What for?" he asked calmly.

Teo Swig paused for a moment, then spoke, "I want you to recommend me to the Wargrave Knight Order," his tone calm as he met Asher’s gaze.

Asher sat stunned. He was a bit surprised, as he hadn’t expected this. He couldn’t help but wonder why Teo Swig was asking for this. With his talent, surely the boy could be independent and didn’t need to serve under anyone.

Besides, he personally didn’t have any say in how his family recruited people, or even who they recruited. And more importantly, he wondered what made Teo Swig even believe he had such power.

After staying silent for a moment, Asher spoke, "Although we don’t have much interaction and all that, I can’t help but wonder why you want to serve my family. With your talent and ability, you should be able to make a name for yourself without becoming anyone’s subordinate," he asked as he really wanted to know.

Teo Swig exhaled as he spoke, "Honestly, I don’t want to serve under anyone, Tenth Sun. I love my freedom, sleeping whenever I want, training whenever I want, and doing whatever I want." He paused for a moment, then added, "But unfortunately, circumstances always force us to make choices we don’t want or like."

Asher stayed silent. He wanted to know what these so-called circumstances truly were before he said anything else.

Seeing Asher remain silent, Teo Swig simply continued, "I’m from a family of commoners from a Viscount Territory. Right from when I was little, I’ve always displayed immense talent for various things, fighting and the glaive being examples," he stated.

As Teo Swig spoke, Asher couldn’t help but wonder if Teo Swig was about to recount his family history or something. But he couldn’t exactly cut the boy short. He could only listen, hoping that wasn’t the case.
