Chapter 1109: Valley Of Distortion [Magic Castle Bonus Chapter]

Another week passed as Asher spent the entire time creating Lightning skills and strengthening the old ones he had to match his current Lightning control; after all, they wouldn’t mysteriously upgrade themselves. Even Arianna Haellight, with a broken eye ability, had to manually train and upgrade her copied skills.

Asher exhaled as he rose to his feet. He was done with the Lightning Training room. He had spent a total of two weeks and five days here, adding that to the two days he spent at the Swordsmanship Training room, that was three weeks total.

His purple eyes rose as he stared at the floating mountain and black cloud. With a thought, his body turned into Lightning, his body instantly transferring into one of the Lightning bolts as though they were magnets of opposite poles. Although the Lightning bolts struck downwards, Asher wanted to move up instead, so he jumped from one Lightning bolt to another as he remained in his Lightning form.

He could have just flown there, but where was the fun in that when he could literally turn into Lightning and ride on a Lightning bolt? Within a second, he got to the cloud and entered it.

Inside the cloud, Asher could see countless layers of dark vapor churning violently around one another. Brilliant streams of pure Lightning Element continuously formed between the layers, branching across the darkness like luminous roots. The charged clouds repeatedly collided, producing enormous webs of lightning that gathered in density before bursting downward as pure Lightning bolts.

Asher could only stare in amazement, yet his mind was filled with possibilities of what Lightning could actually feel like. He felt as though if he wasn’t existing in a Lightning form at the moment, he might be zapped to death just for being here.

After gazing around for a moment, Asher transferred himself to smaller charged Lightning that didn’t tear downwards. This time, he was heading to see the peak of the mountain that pierced the black cloud; he was simply too curious.

As he arrived near the mountain peak, his purple eyes fell upon the mountain’s blackened surface. Its peak was covered in countless glowing cracks, through which pure Lightning Element pulsed like veins. Many bolts descending from the cloud struck the peak, sinking into the mountain before its excess energy spread across the Lightning Training room below.

Asher’s eyes couldn’t help but shimmer as he stood dazed. The more he sort of understood this training facility, the more he couldn’t understand its working mechanism and how outrageous it really was.

’How powerful were the Olden Days artefacts?’ he thought to himself as he stared at the veins that snaked across the mountain peak as Lightning energy poured into it, and it absorbed it like a sponge.

After a moment of thought, he simply came to the conclusion that the Training Facility Building back at the Star Academy must possess something similar. After all, that talkative woman stationed there had talked about it and how students wouldn’t survive there.

He shook his head and vanished in a purple blur as he arrived at the door as though he had always been there, his speed skyrocketing to an immense level as though he had achieved the speed of Light through Lightning.

Opening the door, he stepped out. Within the past three weeks, he had achieved a lot, and he was contented with his gains.

Arriving outside, his eyes moved as he wondered what element to train next. After a moment of thought, he simply turned and headed towards the door with Space written on it. The moment he opened the door and stepped in, he felt as though he had entered another dimension entirely.

It was as though he was here, but here wasn’t here at the same time. Everything seemed blackish blue as it seemed as though the entire Space Training room had taken on the color of space or something.

Asher felt as though he couldn’t breathe as he stood here as though oxygen didn’t exist here... no, there was no breathable air, to be more specific.

His purple eyes shone as all he saw were various scars in reality itself as various spatial rifts were torn open. His head tilted to the side as he could see a literal space cyclone made of spatial blades that shone with distorting light gradients, making it hard to discern one or two constant colors.

This place was simply a valley of distortion as a literal distorting valley stretched in all directions with various spatial rifts.

’Since there is no breathable air, this will affect my training as I can only hold my breath for a few hours, then go outside, breathe in again, then come back, repeating the process over the course of a week,’ Asher thought to himself in silence.

Although it seemed like a tiring task, this place was worth the back and forth. Only an idiot would abandon this place simply because they didn’t want to shuttle back and forth.

As he had the thought, he decided to move forward and maybe look around a bit and start training. After all, he couldn’t come to this amazing place and just go straight to training, that would be stupid.

With that thought, he took a step forward, but the moment he took that step, he found himself in front of a spatial rift that seemed to lead to an unknown place. He immediately panicked and willed himself to turn into Lightning, but the Lightning Element didn’t answer.

He immediately understood that each element only worked in their respective training rooms, just as how Astra energy was restricted in almost all training rooms and allowed only in the Astra Vein Cultivation room.

He immediately took a step back, but the moment he took that step, he found himself falling from the sky.

He couldn’t help but feel confused. He hadn’t even sensed the spatial fluctuations or any form of displacement. Just instant relocation, as though he had always been there.

He wanted to tap into his Astra energy and remain afloat or maybe even create a spatial foothold. But he decided against that.

Learning how to walk around here might be the very first step to understanding space or understanding this place... it didn’t matter which, both were beneficial, and he wasn’t going to jump that progress.

He landed with a deft touch, but the moment he landed, he found himself on a shattering, crumbling valley with colossal boulders falling from above.

He took another step, this time tapping into his Spatial affinity as his mind tried reading anything from his last three displacements. But he got nothing; he simply took a step and appeared in another random location.

’I should leave a Mark outside just in case I suddenly appear somewhere unknown and can’t leave,’ he thought to himself as he now stood near a tree.

Asher stared at a spatial rift. He wondered if people like Cindralis could leave Crymora through the spatial rift or if they would die instead.

He sighed and decided to just walk to the tree, but as he walked, he wasn’t getting any closer even though he was taking actual steps. It was as though something was holding him back.

’Don’t tell me even a random tree here has Gojo’s Infinity as an ability,’ he mused to himself.
