Chapter 1254: Bald Bastard
Chapter 1254: Bald Bastard
At the Zarethorne Empire’s border, the Soldiers of the Velkarin Empire surged out of their hideouts after the various explosions stopped.
"FOR OUR FALLEN EMPRESS!!! FOR OUR EMPIRE!!!"
They surged into the Frontiers and Outposts like ants drawn to sugar, their speed swift and their eyes filled with nothing but pure rage and vengeance. They wanted the Zarethorne Empire to bleed for making a move against their Empress; they wanted the entire Zarethorne Empire wiped out.
Some of the Soldiers were particularly eager. They had been in hiding for an entire month, doing nothing but eating, sleeping, having sex, and then training before repeating the cycle.
These Soldiers were from the Military Force, so they had been trained from the day they joined the Military to die for their Empire, to understand that the Empire stood above everything and everyone.
Their enthusiasm, eagerness, desire for revenge, and bloodlust were simply products of that conditioning.
The Soldiers from the Zarethorne Empire, who were still disoriented from the explosions as their ears rang heavily, didn’t even know what had hit them. Some were confused and dizzy, wondering what was happening.
But their questions were answered when hundreds, thousands, and millions of Black-armoured Soldiers stormed them, and the battle descended into nothing but sheer massacre.
The higher-ranking Soldiers, who were stronger, tried to react, but before they could wipe out the mobs with a single attack, Soldiers from the Velkarin Empire who were on the same level as them immediately intervened.
Damian and Asher Wargrave had already demonstrated what happened when a high Life Ranker was allowed to participate in battles involving weaker individuals.
"DIE!!! WAARRR!!! FUCKER!!! EAT SHIT!!!"
Various people shouted as the Soldiers from the Zarethorne Empire began to react. Although their reactions were slow, and that delay had already cost them Soldiers, they still tried to fight back. However, it was useless, as the numbers were simply against them, with the Velkarin Empire having brought twice their numbers.
And not only that, these people were more experienced. They were from the Velkarin Empire’s Military Force, after all, a place that tolerated nothing but the highest standards. This was unlike the Frontiers, which allowed Soldiers to do their own thing as long as they carried out their deployments and assignments perfectly.
Heads left their shoulders in droves, upper torsos were separated from lower torsos, limbs were severed, hearts were torn out, and screams filled the battlefield as abilities were unleashed in full force, Astra Energy flaring until the atmosphere became suffocating.
"HOLD ON!!! REINFORCEMENTS ARE ON TH—"
A Soldier began shouting at the top of his lungs, trying to get the other Soldiers to hold on, but before he could even finish speaking, an arrow tore through his skull, piercing the back of his helmet and ripping apart the protective headgear he wore.
His body dropped to the ground with a heavy thud, his life extinguished.
Funnily enough, he had indeed been right; reinforcements were on the way. Although he hadn’t spoken with anyone who could confirm that reinforcements were coming, he knew there was no way the Empire wouldn’t have heard such an explosion.
Weapons clashed against weapons. Techniques met techniques. Blood splattered everywhere. Everyone fought to stay alive, struggling to stop whatever the fuck the Velkarin Empire had planned.
But things only got worse across the Zarethorne Empire. As the minutes passed, however, the reinforcements the dead Soldier had spoken about finally arrived in grand style.
Some were Crownstar Life Rankers. The moment they appeared, they first erased the mobs with a single attack, their control over their Astra Energy and abilities simply too absurd to allow them to injure their own Soldiers, even when their attacks connected.
After that, they immediately moved to hold back the enemy leaders.
But just because Crownstar Life Rankers had been deployed didn’t mean they were everywhere. There were thousands of Frontiers, and the Empire didn’t have thousands of Soldiers of that calibre, so reinforcements still hadn’t reached certain locations.
At another Frontier, light flashed, and from within that light, Soldiers from the Algorith Frontier appeared. They numbered in the thousands, and two bald men were among them: Saitama and Acker.
They looked around and searched for Asher. However, after failing to spot him immediately, they simply stopped looking and got to work. The battlefield was already a chaotic mess, and they needed to do the best they could.
"REINFORCEMENTS ARE HERE!!!"
One of the Soldiers screamed at the top of his lungs, notifying everyone. Once again, an arrow flashed towards his head, but before he could suffer the same fate as the Soldier at another Frontier, Saitama moved, his body appearing between the Soldier and the incoming arrow.
The arrow struck his body, then shattered instantly into splinters of wood. He vanished from where he stood as he chased after the archer. The moment he closed the distance, another volley of arrows came flying towards him, each one significantly faster than before.
Saitama immediately changed direction, his hands moving in a blur as he caught all the arrows in midair. Had he simply dodged them, the arrows would have struck and killed weaker Soldiers standing behind him.
Without missing a beat, he threw one of the arrows towards the archer, but she simply destroyed the incoming projectile by firing another arrow at it. The two collided midair and shattered.
The archer blurred backwards as she smirked. She raised her bow towards the sky, then fired a single arrow that instantly multiplied into a thousand-arrow shower.
Saitama’s head snapped upwards at the incoming attack. But the woman wasn’t done; she snapped her fingers, and the arrows increased in size, mass, and destructive power.
Before Saitama could move, Acker acted, his body shooting into the air in a ray of light. His one hundred golden Bodhisattva Hands appeared behind him. The golden Bodhisattva moved, its mouth opening as power gathered within it.
With a boom, it unleashed a blinding ray of white light towards the incoming attack. The attacks connected with pinpoint accuracy, tearing through the gigantic arrows and shattering them into splinters.
Although the splinters were still large, they weren’t enough to damage anyone present, as everyone possessed supernatural physiques.
Saitama’s eyes shot towards the archer, but the woman was already gone. She had hidden herself by changing locations and waiting for the right moment to make another move.
Saitama didn’t bother searching for her, as there were countless enemies and no need to focus on just one. His body zipped forward like a wolf in sheep’s clothing, his fist shooting forward like a missile as he exploded every head it connected with in a single punch.
As he moved, his senses tingled as a sword slash flashed down from above. But before he could even move, Acker was already there, a shield of light forming over Saitama and tanking the attack.
Saitama recalibrated and shot out from behind the light shield, his body streaking upwards as he went after the swordsman.
"YOU BALD BASTARD!!!"
A Soldier shouted from the side as he rushed towards Acker.
Acker turned towards him, wondering whether this guy had received zero Military training. After all, people weren’t supposed to shout before attacking, as that would simply give away their positions and intentions.
However, he didn’t spend any time thinking about the Soldier, as a golden Bodhisattva Hand moved faster than the man’s perception. The golden hand slammed into him, sending his body tearing sideways as though he had been struck by a truck.

Only two Chapters today. Work is too hectic for me to type the usual four Chapters or six, like I did over the past two days. There was simply no time.
Now, I’ll be addressing some of the major comments I see readers leaving.
One, people are saying that everything about Yveric’s death was forced. That Azaron should have stayed to protect the clan and Wargraves, that he shouldn’t have left, blah blah blah.
So I ask you, what Wargraves and clan is he protecting? Are there any Wargraves at home?
Two, bro lost millions of soldiers across hundreds of Frontiers under him, and you want him to sit at home and chill? Doing what exactly?
Thirdly, some are saying Azazel and Azaron fought just for show, that Azazel doesn’t care about his Empire and should have allowed Azaron to do what he wanted.
And I’m like, what the fuck? Azaron is there to wipe out half of Azazel’s home Empire, and you expect the man to just stand, smile at his best friend, and help him wipe it out?
