Chapter 1258: Bypass [Super Gift Bonus Chapter]

"Activate cooling systems. I’m one minute away from being burned by whatever ridiculous flames these are."

He commanded as he sweated within his iron suit. His suit was impervious to heat, but for some ridiculous reason, he still felt hot. Fortunately, he had the cooling system anyway.

"Affirmative."

The AI replied as it immediately carried out the order.

As the sweet, cooling effect took hold of his body, he immediately moved. He tore through the smoke, his body moving with greater speed and strength once more as he punched towards Asher’s head.

Asher’s eyes narrowed at the incoming attack as he arrived at a conclusion, seeing that even his StellarFlames were proving ineffective. He shot to the side to dodge, his own fist tearing upwards from below, aimed at Nick’s chin.

But Nick’s speed and power had increased once more as the AI channelled processing power into the suit, granting him even greater capabilities.

He leaned backwards, effectively dodging the attack. As he dodged, he tossed out a bomb from earlier. The moment he tossed it between himself and Asher, there was no time frame between the moment he threw it and the explosion.

The activation time had already passed, as he had removed the key while the bomb was still within his suit and only tossed it into the air when the explosion was imminent.

A titanic power, greater than anything the two of them had displayed until then, erupted with a cataclysmic crescendo.

Asher didn’t teleport; he simply vanished into the Second Layer of Space, effectively moving beyond the blast’s range. The explosion slammed into Nick, his body tearing backwards as he felt the full brunt of the explosion and the brute force of its various impacts, while his iron suit could withstand only so much.

Bones shattered, his skin tore apart, and he lost an eye as his organs were torn apart. He bled from every orifice, his injuries immense as he had been at the very centre of the explosion. If it weren’t for his indestructible suit absorbing most of the force, he would have died.

"Activating nanites."

The AI stated as it immediately got to work.

Nick immediately felt a surge of something unknown within his bloodstream as his blood vessels were repaired to stop the bleeding. Various organs began regenerating as his injuries stabilised, and he returned to his peak health within seconds.

This was his confidence, the reason he could confidently throw the bomb to kill the Tenth Sun despite being within its blast radius himself. He had thrown the bomb earlier, at the very beginning of the battle between the two of them, but he hadn’t expected the Tenth Sun to be so vicious as to send the bomb back.

"Locate the Tenth Sun."

The AI activated its locking system, but through the smoke and the dome of smoke surrounding the area, it found no sign of life.

"The target is nowhere to be found."

It stated precisely, not pronouncing Asher dead but simply reporting what it had detected.

’Did I get him?’

Nick thought to himself.

But the moment he had that thought, Asher appeared from behind, his heel meeting Nick’s metallic skull with brutal impact. The man shot forward like a bullet from a gun. Nick simply rotated midair, his hands extended forward as miniature guns appeared above his wrists, from which two red laser beams screamed forward.

Asher didn’t dodge. Lightning and Light crackled across his blade as he swung it horizontally, unleashing a wave of searing energy that tore through the red laser beams like a hot knife through butter.

He teleported, his figure appearing behind Nick, his fist crackling with greater power as he punched the man from behind. But Nick’s AI had already calculated this possibility, and the man reacted with superhuman speed and strength, meeting Asher’s attack with his own.

With that, they transitioned into hand-to-hand combat, their bodies becoming their deadliest weapons as various body parts met with devastating force, the two of them showing no mercy to each other.

Asher’s speed increased again as his Astra Energy output surged. His fist met Nick’s chest, sending the man skidding backwards, but the Black man had traded blow for blow, causing Asher to skid backwards as well.

’Where is this guy even gaining more strength and speed from?’

Asher thought to himself. His own strength came from his combination of Lightning and Light, but this man’s power only increased as time went by.

’I can’t waste this much time on a single enemy.’

Asher thought to himself as he and Nick had spent the last eight minutes battling, yet neither of them had achieved a decisive victory.

Asher’s knees dipped forward ever so slightly, and with a shooting force, he was gone as his speed spiked to an unprecedented level.

"Target has moved beyond the current calculation and prediction spe—"

Before Nick’s AI could finish its announcement, Asher’s fist met Nick’s helmet with battering force. As the man shot backwards, Asher moved again, teleporting directly above him, his fist tearing downwards with the weight of a comet.

A bang thundered through the air as Nick’s body slammed into the ground. The moment his back struck the earth, he decided to use another ability to stall for time while his AI caught up.

’How much faster can a person even get?’

He complained as Asher had surpassed twice the speed his AI was supposedly capable of keeping up with.

A purple force raced through his body and into his fist. Without missing a beat, even while still on the ground, he punched skywards. The moment his fist moved, a ridiculous amount of force erupted towards Asher’s position.

This was another ability of the suit. It could absorb part of the damage inflicted by his enemies, allowing him to unleash that accumulated force as an attack through any method available to him.

As the atmospheric pressure and the sky itself collapsed, Asher vanished, effectively dodging the attack. He appeared beside Nick, his foot raised and hovering over the man’s helmet like a UFO. With brutal force, he slammed his foot into the man’s face, the impact shattering the ground beneath them.

Nick groaned, but Asher wasn’t done. Asher bent down to finish the battle, his hand blurring towards the indestructible suit. The moment his fingers were about to touch it, a small portal, the size of his hand, opened on Nick’s suit, and his hand vanished into it.

A second portal appeared within Nick’s suit, on the other side, with Asher’s fingers making direct contact with Nick’s body.

Nick’s eyes widened in pure shock and horror, as he hadn’t expected Asher to bypass the suit in this manner.

Just because he was wearing indestructible armour didn’t mean he was the safest man alive.

"WARNING!!! TARGET HAS BYPASSED THE SU—"

Before the AI could finish its warning, a scream erupted as Asher activated his StellarFlames, the white, burning flames consuming the man and burning every organ, piece of flesh, blood vessel, and every other part of his body without a shred of mercy.

Before long, the man was reduced to nothing but human-shaped charcoal. His iron suit vanished with his death, as the AI had done the best it could.

Asher rose, his eyes remaining on Nick for a moment as he couldn’t help but go over the abilities the suit had displayed, from the AI to the cooling system.

Truly, anything could be an ability within Crymora.
