Chapter 494: Finally Time

Chapter 494: Finally Time

As Asher and Ryaen got to their residential building, Asher stopped at her door as she stepped into her room, "Would you love to come in?" she asked, her question innocent and straightforward as there was no hidden meaning behind it, no teasing implication, simply a plain offer spoken without hesitation.

"Although I would love to, I can’t," Asher spoke as he sighed at the thought of declining a beautiful woman who was inviting him into her room, but he too knew Ryaen’s question was simple and straightforward, devoid of any ulterior intent, "when you met me at the balcony, I was resting and taking a moment before I continued my training, but that break is over, I need to dive back into it," he stated with a small shake of his head, his tone firm yet apologetic.

Ryaen’s expression remained the same as always as she nodded lightly, her silver eyes steady and calm, "I will leave it to you then. I will also resume my training, after all, the distance between us only seems to grow larger. It seems I can’t get complacent or I will be left behind," she said as her silver eyes met Asher’s purple ones, her voice quiet yet resolute.

"Goodbye, Ryaen," Asher stated with a gentle wave of his hand as he started to walk away.

"Goodbye, Asher," Ryaen Silvershade said as she closed her door softly, the sound faint but final.

Asher walked across the hallway in silence as though he had sunk into his thoughts, his footsteps light and measured. He sighed faintly as he got to his door, and upon reaching it, his body turned into pure lightning as he phased through it as though it wasn’t even there, sparks briefly crackling in the air before fading. Arriving at his bed, he collapsed backward onto it as he stared at the ceiling, his muscles finally relaxing.

’What is the time, System?’ he asked his loyal clock internally.

[1:33 PM, Host]

The system’s mechanical tone echoed within his mind, crisp and precise.

’Then let me take a short nap, wake me up by 2 PM,’ he instructed calmly.

[Affirmative, Host]

The system chimed again within his mind, and with that, his consciousness gradually went dark as he fell asleep almost instantly. And as Asher intended, he woke up at exactly 2 PM as the system stirred him awake without error. With that, he stepped into his personal training chamber, where he would increase his proficiency over every elemental skill application he had developed in the past few days, refining each movement until it became instinct.

’In a few days, I will begin the creation of my rapier techniques,’ with that thought, he focused completely and melted into the world of training, shutting out all distractions.

The days went by quickly as Asher spent five days training nonstop without leaving his room even once. His cycle remained simple and mechanical, the system would wake him up, he would bathe, eat breakfast, then dive straight into training until 1 AM the next day, then he would eat again, sleep briefly, wake up, and repeat. There was no wasted motion, no idle time, only constant improvement, an endless pursuit of strength.

At this moment, Asher was getting ready to head toward the Training Facility Building as the time to create his rapier techniques had finally come. This time, he didn’t fly or float as usual, he simply walked while humming softly to himself, his mood unusually light and cheerful.

The students stared at him as he walked past them, glancing at him strangely as they couldn’t understand why he was smiling and walking like someone amused by thoughts only he could see, like a madman quietly laughing at an invisible joke.

"You seem so happy this morning," a voice echoed behind Asher. His footsteps came to a halt, and turning around, his eyes met hers.

Ryaen Silvershade stood there with her usual calm composure as her silver gaze met his, her presence quiet yet firm.

"Was going to resume my training," Asher stated plainly, which was obvious since he was standing right before the Training Facility Building.

Ryaen nodded her head as she spoke, "I came to buy some things for my last teamed mission with the Princess and Lady Darrisa."

Asher nodded at her words, and with that, they exchanged brief goodbyes as they were both busy. They hadn’t seen or met each other after the day of the spar against Vaelric Lux Vanthelmor, clearly showing how relentlessly both of them were working toward their goals.

Asher stepped into the Training Facility Building without delay or even glancing back at Ryaen. There was time to admire beautiful women, and there was time to train, and now was unquestionably the time for the latter.

’I should have asked Ryaen if the receptionist also bothers her or just me,’ he sighed internally at the thought of meeting the chatterbox yet again after not seeing her for a few days.

After a short walk, Asher arrived before the woman who seemed to sit lazily as though she had nothing better to do, boredom practically radiating from her posture. The next moment, however, a smile appeared on her lips as she sensed Asher’s presence approaching.

Her head shifted to the side as her black eyes met the approaching Asher, "We meet again, Tenth Sun, I heard about your little power display," she smiled as she spoke, her tone playful.

"Good morning," Asher stated plainly as he wasn’t too surprised the woman had heard about his spar with Prince Vaelric Lux Vanthelmor, "I would like to know if there are training chambers for weapons too," he asked as he went straight to the point again, ignoring her earlier comment entirely.

The woman didn’t seem surprised as she had already expected Asher to simply ignore her, "Of course, what do you think this huge building is for? Just training elements?" she asked teasingly as she shook her head.

Seeing Asher didn’t speak or react, she continued, "We have training chambers for weapons. I was surprised you never asked for one since you carry your rapier around your waist. The weapon training chambers are divided into Tier 1 to Tier 3, each tier different in price as you already know. But for this type of chamber, we only charge by tier and time, not by the type of weapon," she stated in finality, ending her explanation.

Asher nodded his head as he intended to pay for twelve hours within the Tier 1 rapier training chamber. Making the payment without hesitation, he headed toward the chamber, led by the chatterbox woman. The moment the chamber door closed behind him, isolating him completely from the outside world, a wide smile slowly appeared on his lips.

It was finally time.
