Chapter 749: Reckless Spending [Golden Gachapon Bonus - ]

Asher, who already knew that women could never finish their shopping quickly, simply decided to look around while waiting. He, William, Finch, and Vaelric discussed various things amongst themselves as they waited for Ryaen to finish.

An entire hour finally passed before Ryaen emerged.

She was now dressed according to the Thalvorn Empire’s dressing culture, which consisted of a flowing silver robe-like dress that perfectly matched her hair. In one hand was an elegant open folding fan which she raised to cover half of her face. Light makeup had been applied upon her already beautiful features, somehow enhancing her beauty and charm even further. Finally, what appeared to be an exquisite Chinese-inspired headpiece alongside several delicate hairpins rested upon her silver hair, which had now been styled upward instead of flowing freely down her back.

At this moment, Ryaen had become even more devastating with her beauty and elegance. If anyone saw her now, they would genuinely believe she was some ancient empress from a mythical Chinese dynasty.

Behind her, countless shopping bags floated gracefully in the air under Astra-powered telekinetic control.

Asher, William, Finch, and Vaelric could only stare at her silently, their eyes wide and unblinking while their mouths hung slightly open in speechless disbelief.

She was genuinely breathtaking in everything she wore, as though every outfit had specifically been tailored for her alone.

"Am I truly that beautiful that you’re all staring at me like you want to pounce?" Ryaen’s voice echoed calmly, immediately snapping everyone out of their dazed thoughts.

And it wasn’t only them staring at her either. Even the women who had come shopping within the store found themselves glancing repeatedly toward Ryaen.

After all, throughout the entire Zarethorne Empire, the only person Asher genuinely believed to be more beautiful than Ryaen was Cindralis herself. Sadly, not even Wuthenya could surpass the Queen Of Bones in terms of beauty.

Ryaen smirked faintly before walking toward the payment section of the store.

"That will be three hundred gold coins, and if you’re paying in cash, there will be an additional charge of ten silver coins," the staff member handling payments stated politely after calculating the total amount.

The Thalvorn Empire basically operated on an almost entirely cashless policy. Although in a world like Crymora where trusting ordinary banks would normally be impossible, the Awakener Association personally oversaw and controlled all banking systems throughout the Empire, making the entire process reliable and trustworthy.

Ryaen didn’t mind the extra fee whatsoever. She simply paid calmly before turning back toward the group with a bright smile while her shopping bags floated behind her.

With that, they left the clothing store together. After wandering around for several more minutes, they eventually entered another floor. There, the moment William casually touched a single shirt, he was informed that it cost one hundred gold coins, nearly making him vomit blood on the spot.

The staff member quickly explained that the shopping complex operated according to a floor-ranking system. The higher one climbed, the more luxurious and expensive the products became.

Asher was honestly tempted to head directly toward the top floors simply to see how absurd the prices became there, but unfortunately, accessing those upper floors required special VIP cards, without them, entry wasn’t allowed at all. Thankfully, an exception had been made for them since they were foreigners and obviously couldn’t have possessed such VIP credentials beforehand.

Asher stared blankly at a pair of shoes that cost five platinum coins, genuine disbelief appearing upon his face. He honestly wondered whether a shoe he could probably rip apart with his bare hands could at least withstand an attack from a Voidstar Life Ranker.

If it couldn’t, then why exactly was it so expensive?

Naturally, the staff member quickly stepped forward and began explaining that the materials and threads used were crafted from some rare substances and luxury resources, but Asher honestly didn’t even feel like listening anymore.

But alas, during a vacation, one had to actually enjoy themselves without constantly calculating money. Besides, he currently possessed several thousand platinum coins already, so spending lavishly wasn’t exactly an issue. Who knew when he would next get the chance to visit another Empire like this again?

Besides, he should actually learn to spend like a true Young Master instead of constantly calculating his expenses mentally. Not to mention, Azaron had personally given him ten thousand platinum coins a month ago specifically for spending within the Thalvorn Empire.

’It seems I’ll need to meet FatelessPen later, I’ll probably need a credit card with unlimited spending,’ Asher thought inwardly to himself.

As for William and the others, they had only been given a few hundred platinum coins each. If they bought only a handful of items on these upper floors, they would become completely broke almost instantly.

"You guys can just pick whatever you want, the bills are on me," Asher spoke with a small smirk.

He had already decided to spend recklessly. Why bother worrying about money when FatelessPen existed? Asher was fairly certain the man would agree to his request for some sort of unlimited credit card eventually. And even if FatelessPen somehow refused, Asher could simply contact Malrik instead, who would undoubtedly come to his rescue without hesitation.

With that, everyone immediately began shopping enthusiastically. Even Asher himself changed into a flowing robe, his own being deep purple in colour to perfectly match his hair. A fake tattoo was drawn elegantly across his neck, giving him a far more dangerous and charismatic appearance. A purple earring hung from one ear, while even his hairstyle had been adjusted to better suit his current outfit and demeanour.

William, Finch, and Vaelric also changed into entirely new attires of their own, but unfortunately for them, all of their appearances still paled in comparison to Asher’s ridiculous charm. Even their dear Mama Bones would probably struggle to compete.

Eventually, they all arrived at the payment section carrying everything they had purchased. Naturally, Ryaen had also bought countless skincare products, makeup items, brushes, perfumes, and various other things related to women. Meanwhile, the men had mostly purchased wristwatches, belts, rings, luxury accessories, and clothing.

"Your total bill comes to seven thousand three hundred and fifty platinum coins," the male staff member stated politely with a professional smile.

The upper floors were so absurdly expensive that not a single item there was sold in gold coins anymore. Everything was priced purely in platinum or nothing at all.

William, Ryaen, Finch, and Vaelric didn’t even dare say anything after hearing such a ridiculous amount. Yes, all of them were rich by normal standards, but rich enough to spend that much money casually without getting interrogated by their families afterward? Absolutely not.

But Azaron was currently showering Asher with platinum coins as though they literally grew on trees. And with the Wargrave family no longer required to pay taxes for the next century, Azaron could genuinely afford to spend recklessly like this.

Asher merely nodded before calmly asking, "I’m paying in cash, how much extra will that cost me?" since he already knew another fee would naturally be attached.

"Seventy platinum coins," the staff member replied instantly.

Asher nodded once again. For a brief moment, he was genuinely tempted to ask the System to convert the entire amount into copper coins instead just so the staff members would suffer while counting them all individually.

But alas, it wasn’t as though the workers themselves were responsible for setting such outrageous prices or additional fees, so Asher ultimately decided to show mercy.

With a casual wave of his hand, countless platinum coins immediately crashed onto the floor in a glittering metallic heap.

They were politely asked to wait while the amount was confirmed. After several minutes of counting and verification, they were finally allowed to leave.

Escorted politely toward the elevator, all of them entered before descending back toward the lower floors with every single item they had bought safely stored away within their space rings.
