Chapter 902: Heir Of The Star [Free Bonus Chapter]

It took a whopping five minutes for Virelass to heal Asher of all his injuries, and by the time he finally rose to his feet, all he saw was an amber-gold eye covered in a green sheen staring directly at him.

“Forfeit,” Arianna said calmly and kindly. She no longer wore the same battle-loving grin she had displayed throughout their battle.

Asher didn’t speak. His entire body throbbed with pain. He knew that he had been completely defenseless for those five minutes, and if Arianna had wanted to, she could have attacked him within that time frame. But she hadn’t, as she believed he no longer had any cards left up his sleeves.

Which was a reasonable deduction. After all, even Asher himself had assumed the very same thing about her a few seconds earlier when he had asked if she had had enough.

Asher smiled as he replied, “Arianna… it seems your instincts aren’t as sharp as mine.”

Arianna frowned as she wondered what Asher meant by that. The next moment, she immediately remembered the conversation they had shared just seconds ago. Her mind instantly snapped to a shocking realization, but the realization came too late as Asher’s voice rang out throughout the entire planet.

“Star Form”

Unlike Arianna’s transformation, the Coliseum didn’t shake, but a change occurred.

Asher’s entire body immediately glowed with a dazzling white radiance, blinding everyone who gazed upon him. Even Arianna’s vision vanished as she too was blinded by the brilliance despite being in her World Embodiment.

The moment the white light faded, there stood Asher, a completely transformed man. His entire body was covered in a cloak of an unknown white, ethereal sheen that looked as though it could fizzle out at any moment like the flame of a candle. His hair was no longer purple, but instead a pure, immaculate white that stood upright as though gravity no longer held dominion over it. His eyes shone with the very same color, and lastly, at the center of his forehead, an emblem of a Star could be seen glowing brilliantly.

At this moment, Star Energy could no longer be disguised as Astra energy.

Arianna stood dumbfounded as she stared in utter disbelief at Asher’s transformation. She no longer held anything back as her green short swords immediately appeared within her hands.

But before she could even take a single step, Asher was already upon her, his speed surpassing every enhancement World Embodiment granted Arianna. Asher’s rapier blurred with a speed that seemed to fracture reality itself as he slashed toward Arianna.

Arianna’s mind and soul screamed as her body moved through nothing but reflex and pure survival instinct. But the moment both weapons met, a rupturing, catastrophic, apocalyptic explosion thundered across the battlefield as everything within a four-hundred-kilometer radius was immediately erased from the surface of the world.

Arianna felt the impact of the strike slam into her body, sending her shooting backwards like a bullet. Her eyes widened in disbelief as she felt one thing… pain. She had actually been injured. That single attack had fractured both of her hands. She immediately healed herself and prepared to move once again, but Asher was already there, Virelass becoming nothing more than a white flash within his grasp as he slashed once more. With that graceful stroke, Arianna’s entire arm was blown clean off at the shoulder.

Arianna couldn’t understand what was happening. She was supposed to be absolute in this state. She was supposed to be impossible to overcome. Yet, she was being driven backwards. No, saying she was merely being driven backwards was giving her far too much credit. In truth, she was being completely overwhelmed.

She immediately bent space as she teleported away, but Asher had already read her like an open book. His foot crashed into her jaw with wicked force the moment she appeared at her new location, sending her hurtling from the sky like a falling comet.

His speed, strength, reactions, perception… everything had climbed to an entirely different level.

For the past seven to eight months, Asher hadn’t simply trained his other abilities while neglecting his Star Form. No. It had always been one of his greatest trump cards, so naturally, he had devoted countless hours to refining it. With his ever-increasing control over Star Energy, Asher was no longer appeared blurry or hazy whenever he activated Star Form. Instead, through his current mastery, he had created an entirely new mode born from that sheer control.

Arianna didn’t hesitate. With infinite Astra energy, she could continuously pour out enough power to use the broken skills she had spent months analyzing, finally unleashing them in moments such as these. But unfortunately, the instant she attempted to activate Black Hole, Asher was already in motion. He immediately severed her connection to Astra energy once again, only this time for a noticeably longer duration as his control over Star Energy surged dramatically within Star Form.

The sole of his foot slammed into her chest. The green energy armor covering her body shattered instantly, her chest caving inward as she was launched backwards like a ragdoll. Before she could crash into a building, Asher teleported directly to her position. His fist boomed forward, collapsing the surrounding space before tearing into her back with merciless force, sending her flying forward once more as her trajectory shifted violently under the sudden change in momentum.

Asher didn’t give her even the slightest chance to breathe. He vanished once again. The moment Arianna reached the ground under the relentless pull of gravity and momentum, Asher caught her by the skull before violently slamming her into the side of a building. Without slowing down in the slightest, he continued sprinting forward, dragging Arianna’s face across the building’s vertical wall as her green armored helmet barely protected her beautiful face from being torn apart.

She could only thrash helplessly as she struggled to move, but with Asher’s newfound control over Star Energy, the duration of her Astra energy nullification had increased considerably.

The moment that duration finally ended, Arianna teleported away, reappearing nearly a kilometer away as every one of her injuries healed within a single second.

Asher didn’t pursue her. He merely stood there, silently watching.

Arianna didn’t hesitate for even an instant. She immediately shifted into her strongest sword technique.

[World Sword Technique: Ultimate Version: Perfect Slash]

Her Astra energy erupted unlike ever before, as though the entire Coliseum was about to be swallowed by another catastrophe. She infused every single element she possessed, Fire, Space, Water, Lightning, Wind, Earth, and Ice, keeping every one of them in flawless balance. Her twin short swords fused into a single blade that increased dramatically in length, and without missing a beat, she brought it down in one flawless motion, unleashing the perfect slash.

A wave of utterly obliterating power tore toward Asher as he calmly entered a sword stance before moving into his own strongest rapier technique.

[Song Of Virelass: Star Stanza: Dazzling Supernova]

His Star Energy peaked as his heart pumped faster with every thunderous beat. Virelass trembled violently within his grasp as though she herself could barely contain the sheer power flowing through her. Without missing a beat, Asher raised his rapier before unleashing a single horizontal swing.

With that slash, countless crescent-shaped waves of Star Energy collided with one another, collapsing together in less than a split second. The very instant they fully converged as a literal dazzling white star materialized before Asher.

At that moment, anyone possessing even a single functioning brain cell would immediately understand why Asher had named this technique Dazzling Supernova.

The next moment, the dazzling star exploded outward in a world-ending supernova, unleashing an immeasurable scale of raw destructive power that devoured everything in its path. Arianna’s Perfect Slash didn’t even survive for a split second before it was completely torn to shreds.

The entire Coliseum shook under armageddon-like force and madness as the surrounding Crownstar Life Rankers were forced to intervene, moving instantly to prevent the catastrophic aftermath from reaching the spectators, as the green vertical barrier protecting them collapsed like a wall of paper.

As the endless churning smoke and devastation finally cleared, only Asher, still standing proudly in his Star Form, could be seen. Nothing remained for countless kilometers across the battlefield, as the star had consumed everything within its reach.

As for Arianna Haellight, she was nowhere to be seen. She had already been removed from the battlefield as the Crownstar Life Rankers had been forced to intervene. Had they failed to do so, Arianna Haellight would have met her end beneath the hands of The Star’s Heir.

And at that moment, only one man remained standing amidst the apocalypse that had descended upon the world.

ASHER FUCKING WARGRAVE!!!!
