Creating Heavenly Laws

Chapter 775

Chapter 775

Wanwei Space-Time.

The timeline behind Lin Yuan gradually stabilized.

“That white jade staircase…” Lin Yuan fell into brief contemplation.

The future self he had summoned stood upon an endless white jade staircase.

And that very staircase had clearly been recognized by the towering crimson figure from the future, who referred to it as a “critical future scene” and had said “there’s no need to go that far.”

Clearly, the staircase held great significance in the future—otherwise, a Legendary Lord would never have reacted that way.

“In the future timelines I’ve observed, that white jade staircase never appeared. Most of what I saw was blurry, distorted—even pitch-black.”

Lin Yuan shook his head slightly.

When he first became a time being, observing future timelines was nearly effortless.

But as his strength and realm rose, the usefulness of those timelines waned.

Many of the images and information he sought involved Transcendence, or were tied to the awareness of supreme laws and principles—such things simply wouldn’t appear in timelines. They could only be understood through firsthand experience.

This was especially true among Legendary Lords.

Every Legendary Lord had undoubtedly delved deep into the two paths to Transcendence: “Infinite Origin” and “Endless Tribulation.”

Their futures could change at any moment because of these paths, turning what should have been visible into complete darkness.

The further one explored into ancient epochs on the “Infinite Origin” path, the more likely it became to get lost or perish in the past.

And “Endless Tribulation” was even worse. In its final phase—330 millions tribulations—every one of them teetered on the edge of life and death. One misstep, and one’s entire being could be erased.

“At the very least, this summoning tells me that ‘I’ in the future seem to be doing pretty well.”

A smile crept onto Lin Yuan’s face.

He didn’t know that the past, present, and future of the Blood Sea Lord had all been wiped out.

But from what he saw, the Blood Sea Lord’s future self had no power to resist his own future self.

That alone meant his future strength must be terrifying.

And this was just the self from a few million years in the future.

“Blood Sea Lord…”

Lin Yuan refocused, glancing at the three corpses floating nearby.

No matter what his future strength was, Lin Yuan wasn’t even a Lord yet. He had only just climbed out of poverty.

To him, the corpses of three Lords were an unimaginable treasure—he naturally stowed them away immediately.

Whoosh.

The corpses of the Blood Sea Lord and the others vanished into Lin Yuan’s internal cosmos.

At the same time, Lin Yuan began inspecting them.

“Five Lord-level weapons.”

He discovered five weapons hidden within the corpses.

One of them belonged to the Lord Tianshi, along with his physical body.

Of the five, the most valuable was the “Dark Ocean,” a Legendary-level Lord weapon.

The “Dark Ocean” was a suppression-type weapon with disguise capabilities. The Blood Sea Lord had used it to set up a trap in the Wanwei Space-Time, disguising it as a land of great fortune.

“This is a windfall.”

Lin Yuan’s smile widened.

Aside from the “Dark Ocean,” the other four Lord weapons were each worth at least 80 million catties of Time Sand.

Typical Lord weapons were only worth tens of thousands to a few million catties—but the Blood Sea Lord was a second-tier peak Lord, and the Lord Tianshi was on the same level. Though the Void Spirit Lord and Armored Lord were a bit weaker, they weren’t far behind.

Their weapons had taken tremendous effort to forge, far surpassing ordinary Lord-grade weapons.

As for the “Dark Ocean”? As a Legendary-level weapon, it was likely worth 200 million catties of Time Sand alone.

Which meant the total value of the five weapons was around 520 million catties of Time Sand.

There were also some miscellaneous treasures—worth another one or two million catties at most.

To put that in perspective: even with all his previous gains in the Wanwei Space-Time, Lin Yuan had only accumulated around 30 to 40 million catties’ worth of treasures.

And now?

A direct leap to over 500 million.

“What a pity…”

Lin Yuan couldn’t help feeling some regret.

The Blood Sea Lord and the others had set up traps—before targeting the Lord Tianshi, they likely harmed many other time beings.

Those victims probably chose to spend Time Sand to preserve their bodies. But that Time Sand? It would’ve all been exchanged outside the Wanwei Space-Time.

Inside this realm, Lords wouldn’t carry that much Time Sand.

Even the five Lord weapons Lin Yuan obtained were an unexpected windfall. Under normal circumstances, Lords wouldn’t bring such valuable items into the Wanwei Space-Time.

But the Blood Sea Lord and his allies went against convention. With their future selves having stepped into the Legendary realm, they had fallback options—and thus dared to bring in four powerful weapons, including a Legendary-grade one.

The Lord Tianshi had simply taken a chance. Having hidden his true strength, he believed that unless a Legendary Lord intervened, no one could pose a real threat to him.

“These three physical bodies—plus the Lord Tianshi’s—are also incredibly valuable.”

Lin Yuan thought to himself. Forging a main combat body required tremendous effort and cost.

The most basic use for them was to reverse-refine them into their original power, or directly forge five Lord weapons.

But the best use?

Selling them back to their original owners.

A Lord’s main combat body wasn’t just a product of effort—it also held many of their secrets. To reclaim it, the original owner would undoubtedly pay a premium.

As Lin Yuan stashed the corpses and reviewed his gains…

The surrounding Time Lords could only watch in silence, not daring to make a move.

Every one of them knew how immense the value of those three corpses was.

Yet none dared to try and snatch them—because that white jade staircase Lin Yuan summoned, and the figure upon it who erased both the present and future selves of the Blood Sea Lord with a wave of his sleeve, was forever burned into their souls.

With the Blood Sea Lord as a cautionary tale, who would dare act now?

“The mighty Blood Sea Lord… just died like that? His main body slain in the Wanwei Space-Time?”

A Time Lord murmured, as if in a dream.

None of them could perceive that every version of the Blood Sea Lord—past, present, and future—had been erased. They only thought his main body had fallen.

Even so, it was utterly astonishing.

“Not just the Blood Sea Lord—his future self, who had stepped into the Legendary realm, fell too.”

“Just who is that Lord? His future strength must be terrifying. What stage is he in the final 330 million tribulations?”

The more they thought, the more shaken the Time Lords became.

Every step for a Time Lord was a brush with death. For Legendary Lords, even more so. To grow stronger meant surviving more tribulations—and each one carried the risk of complete annihilation.

In the vast dimensional gap—

Inside a palace hidden in a special space.

The Lord Tianshi’s true self opened his eyes, his expression full of disbelief.

“The Blood Sea Lord summoned a future self who had stepped into the Legendary level and suppressed my main combat body. But then... another Lord watching nearby summoned their future self and effortlessly wiped out both of the Blood Sea Lord’s bodies?”

The Lord Tianshi blinked, having pieced together what happened after his defeat through nearby Time Lords.

It was a series of twists and turns.

“That observing Lord’s future…”

He could hardly believe it. He had personally fought the Blood Sea Lord’s future self—though ultimately suppressed, he knew how terrifying that being was.

And yet that being was casually erased?

“My main combat body... is now in that Lord’s hands?”

The Lord Tianshi frowned. If it had fallen into the Blood Sea Lord’s hands, he could roughly estimate the cost to redeem it.

But in the hands of this mysterious Lord?

He knew nothing about them, and their terrifying future left him completely unsure of how to “buy back” his body.

Offer too much? He might not be able to afford it.

Too little? He might anger the other side—with grim consequences.

“No matter what... I have to try.”

He steadied himself. He couldn’t allow his main body to remain out there. Even if it meant bleeding heavily, he had to try and “redeem” it.

At the deepest depths of the Wanwei Space-Time—

The moment the Blood Sea Lord summoned his future self, several beings in this place were alarmed.

Power at the third tier of the Legendary realm could be sensed across vast distances.

“Another Legendary Lord.”

“One from the future?”

“Making a move in the present spacetime—laying a scheme? Or correcting a hidden flaw?”

The Legendary Lords dwelling in the deepest depths didn’t pay much attention.

Legendary Lords occasionally acted in the past. It wasn’t unheard of.

As long as the consequences weren’t too severe, others wouldn’t interfere. After all, future Legendary Lords acting in the present was no different from present ones acting in the past.

“Blood Sea… That guy actually reached the Legendary level in the future?”

From afar, several Legendary Lords observed and conversed.

The future was mostly dark and blurry to them—especially when it involved other Legendary Lords.

Each Legendary Lord had gone deep along the path of Transcendence. Such matters were hard to observe.

Then—

When Lin Yuan began summoning his future self—

All of their expressions changed.

“What’s that?”

“This pressure on spacetime?”

Several Legendary Lords grew solemn. Others who had been in deep meditation awoke and turned toward the chaotic timeline.

The endless white jade staircase.

The lone figure ascending, back turned to all.

A wave of his sleeve—erasing both versions of the Blood Sea Lord.

Everything that happened in those few breaths left every Legendary Lord breathless.

“Instant erasure. Even the Blood Sea Lord’s future Legendary self couldn’t resist? Power is normally suppressed when crossing timelines, yet to still achieve this—this being’s strength…”

“Definitely on par with the Lords of the Wanwei Space-Time. Perhaps already at the edge of a Transcendence path.”

“Who is it? And that staircase… never seen anything like it. From some hidden dimensional space?”

All the Legendary Lords were shaken. They didn’t care much about the Blood Sea Lord’s future self—that being was likely weaker than them.

But that figure on the endless staircase…

In the vast dimensional gaps, Legendary Lords almost never revealed themselves—but such a powerful being, likely beyond even the Lords of Wanwei Space-Time…

“That terrifying future being—this is their past self?”

They all looked toward Lin Yuan, hearts stunned. “Not even a Lord, yet already close to the second-tier limit in strength…”

“No idea how many years into the future that being comes from.”

“Doesn’t matter. Even across the vast dimensional gap, there can’t be many beings that strong.”

“Even counting the hidden ‘ancient monsters,’ there may only be a handful who match him.”

The Legendary Lords of the deepest Wanwei Space-Time exchanged thoughts quickly.

Was there a Legendary Lord in the present who could match—or even surpass—the Wanwei Lords?

Definitely.

But they were exceedingly rare.

Such high-tier Legendary Lords, nearing the end of a Transcendence path, would almost never concern themselves with anything unrelated to their own transcendence.

“That staircase…”

A Legendary Lord radiating violet light spoke solemnly. He glanced at the others. “Recently, we’ve observed a period from 100,000 to a million years in the future where the timeline turns utterly dark—completely unobservable.”

When Time Lords saw darkness in the future timeline, it typically meant their target information was obscured.

Yet ordinary future images—of lesser time beings or minor events—could still be observed.

Because those didn’t involve Transcendence.

But now all these Legendary Lords had seen the same thing—a dark, unobservable future spanning hundreds of thousands of years?

That could only mean a major event was going to occur across the vast dimensional gap—one likely tied to Transcendence itself, hence the obscured timelines.

“You’re saying that white jade staircase is connected to the darkness we observed in the future?”

Another Legendary Lord looked thoughtful.

“Exactly.”

The Violet-Light Legendary Lord nodded. “It’s only a theory, of course.”
