Chapter 655 The Overlap of Endless Coincidence
Chapter 655 The Overlap of Endless Coincidence
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
Let’s rewind the clock just a bit.
The Sect Theocracy, now empty of the succubi, was in a state of utter pandemonium. The mesmerized King was, naturally, paralyzed with grief, but the powerful noblemen were no better, all weeping, wailing, and running around like headless chickens.
It was because she saw this that Goddess Padra decided to take Freri and the others and visit the other Goddesses—the same ones who’d helped clean up after Former Goddess Satin—in a systematic tour.
Victory was guaranteed now, or so she thought. All that remained was to confirm the final results and pay out the rewards. Freri and the succubi shared the same outlook, so not a single person objected to accompanying Goddess Padra.
Because of this massive oversight, no one was left to watch the Sect Theocracy. And that’s why no one noticed the entity that emerged in the midst of the chaos to stir things up even more.
That man was one of the Bishops who supported the Pontiff. He waited a full day for the distraught Pontiff to recover his composure, but seeing no change, the Bishop finally gave up. He rallied his fellow believers with a simple proposition:
If the Goddess has abandoned us, then let us summon a new God.
Those believers who were already disillusioned with the impotent Pontiff quickly agreed with the man. The number of zealots swelled immediately, and they effortlessly took control of the main altar where prayers were offered to the divine.
Ordinarily, merely offering a prayer wouldn’t achieve anything. This time, however, was different, due to four crucial factors, one by one, all coming together:
Coincidence One: The man leading the believers was a Bishop and had a good grasp of ritualistic procedure.
Coincidence Two: A massive, latent power—the energy the succubi had collected to send to Former Goddess Satin—remained stored in the altar.
Coincidence Three: The barrier separating the worlds managed by Goddess Padra and Goddess Arian had already been weakened so that Luluane could summon the Apostle of Goddess Arian.
Coincidence Four: The powerful entity known as The Demon King sensed the prayer for salvation and answered it.
The overlap of these endless coincidences triggered a cataclysm: The vast power collected in the altar was channeled by the Bishop’s hands, becoming a prayer for rescue that violently busted through the dimensional barrier.
Naturally, Goddess Arian noticed such a major incident immediately. She tried to move at once to contain the anomaly, but this was prevented by the fourth coincidence’s result:
”I agree. From this moment forth, you are the Demon King’s servants. This land is Mine, the Demon King’s territory,” the Demon King declared, his powerful voice ringing out as he answered the prayer, creating an unbreakably strong, stable connection.
With the connection so firm, the Goddesses were effectively locked out. Any attempt to forcefully sever the link would lead to unpredictable consequences. At worst, it could mean the total annihilation of both worlds. The only peaceful resolution was for mortals to sever the link themselves.
(Now, what should I do?) Goddess Arian mused, strategically.
If the breach had remained a gaping hole, it would have been a problem, but with the connection stable and solidified, it was a different matter entirely. If she left it alone, and the Demon King, a resident of her own managed world, succeeded in the occupation, she could effortlessly seize one world from Goddess Padra.
Since the whole mess was caused by an ‘accident’ stemming from the residents of Padra’s world, Padra wouldn’t have a leg to stand on to complain. It was the wiser choice to simply keep quiet until Goddess Padra, who was busy visiting other Goddesses, noticed the catastrophe.
Opportunities to gain administrative control over a new world aren’t common. If she was solely pursuing her own self-interest, betting on the Demon King’s invasion was the superior option.
(…However, excessive lone victories are not ideal), she ultimately concluded.
If she went ahead with the invasion, Goddess Padra would suffer a great loss. And Shinji, who was working locally, would receive no reward for his hard work. Since the acquisition of the new world was incidental, Arian would have no reason to compensate him, and he would likely not accept a small recompense, potentially damaging their trust.
Goddess Arian had immense future expectations for Shinji. She believed he would be successful not just across worlds, but across Goddesses themselves… even if he himself didn’t want it.
Weighing a single world against Shinji, Goddess Arian chose Shinji. She threw in one more bargaining chip—an obligation owed by Goddess Padra—to sweeten the deal for Shinji.
”Goddess Padra. This is an emergency. Return immediately. Your world, and your Apostle, are in danger,” Arian spoke with forced urgency.
”Ehhh!? What the heck!?” Padra stammered in shock.
”Seeing it will be faster than my explanation. Hurry.”
”I-I understand!” Padra replied, equally panicked.
Goddess Padra rushed back with the speed of Arian’s thought, only to clutch her head in despair. What in the world am I going to do about this?

Unaware of this cosmic disaster, Shinji woke up feeling refreshed. Tiana and Tiona, who should have been in his arms, were gone—he figured they were already out doing their daily training.
He was in the process of getting dressed when a frantic Luluane burst into his room. She immediately blushed, seeing his strong, half-dressed physique, but quickly pointed outside—up toward the sky.
”I-I’m so sorry! But the sky! Look at the sky!” she cried, breathless.
”What the heck!?”
Alarmed by her extreme panic, Shinji quickly put on his clothes and stepped out of the Canopy with her. And he was struck utterly speechless.
Projected against the blue morning sky, just as the sun was beginning to rise, was the figure of a beautiful succubus woman. The enormous image, shown from the waist up, was so large that every person on the continent could see it by just looking up.
Everyone at the temporary base was silenced by the sudden event. They weren’t speechless out of admiration for the sheer beauty, but because they were witnessing a phenomenon that defied human comprehension. Even Luluane, realizing she could never replicate this, couldn’t stop herself from alerting Shinji.
Shinji, however, was silent for a different reason. Because—
”I am Lechary, a Devil who serves the Demon King! I have come to make this world the Demon King’s territory! I am the woman who grants mercy if you yield, and ruin if you do not! Ho-ho-ho-ho!!“
The woman cackling maniacally and fully embracing her villainous persona was none other than Shinji’s adoptive mother. He was nearly white-eyed from the shock, and for a long moment, he could do nothing but stare blankly up at the sky.

Question: How did a son feel when he saw his adoptive mother, whom he hadn’t seen in a long time, acting like a villain?
It turns out that those who stand out in times of chaos are not necessarily the most capable.
And so, following his father-in-law, he discovered his adoptive mother. Like his father-in-law, she is in a world controlled by Goddess Arian. They shouldn’t have met, but a series of coincidences led to their meeting…
Shinji’s world
A world of conflict (the world where his stepfather was condemned)
A world ruled by the Demon King (the world where his adoptive mother exists)
↑All of these are under the control of Goddess Arian.
Notes:
• Padra – Female. A goddess. She has orange hair styled in twin tails and a petite, delicate appearance with modest chest proportions. Her personality is carefree, cheeky, and playful, often acting bratty. She manages the world where Shinji was summoned. Her power revolves around summoning magic and phantom beasts. She has a friendly but sometimes audacious relationship with Arian, often pushing boundaries.
• Luluane – Female. An apostle of a different goddess. She has long, flowing hair and a pale complexion. She is sincere and remorseful for the accidental summoning, repeatedly apologizing and showing genuine concern. Her relationship with Shinji is initially tense but becomes more relaxed as they work together. She is also a summoner and has a close bond with her disciples, who see her as an older sister figure.
• Tiana – Female. Luluane’s first disciple. She has blue hair tied in a round bun, a petite build, and a well-defined, feminine figure. Energetic, confident, and competitive, she is quick to speak and express gratitude. Her relationship with Shinji is respectful and positive.
• Tiona – Female. Luluane’s second disciple. She has red braided hair and fluffy cat ears. Slender yet curvaceous, she is modest, quiet, and reserved, contrasting sharply with Tiana. Her relationship with Shinji is polite and apologetic for the rude summoning.
• Canopy – The resistance’s main command tent, first seen in Ch.640. A large pavilion used for war councils and maps, symbolizing the heart of strategy and leadership. Think: ‘war pavilion.’
• Lechary – Shinji’s adoptive mother from a different dimension (the Demon King’s world), now acting as the herald of a Demon King who has accidentally invaded Shinji’s world.
