Because of the reckless manner that the group of Land Creation cultivators acted in, the Land Creation Realm demon beast managed to avoid being immediately caught by the four. Creating enough distance for it to rush through different dangerous locations that it had once wandered into itself before it had ended up trapped inside the treasury.

But... Given how long it had been since it had ended up wandering into these dangerous regions and ancient formation, some of them had already lost their last remaining bit of strength and had collapsed on their own, while others that had once seemed terrifying to it in the past turned out to pose no obstacle to someone in the Land Creation Realm.

To be honest, it couldn’t be avoided, as the demon beast had only just barely reached a level comparable to the Early Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm before it had ended up trapped inside the treasury. The dangerous regions and formations that it knew about were either already gone or far too weak to have any effect on those chasing after it.

Understanding this reality after seeing a few ancient formations that had once trapped and tortured it for decades in the past, being easily broken apart with a single hand wave from one of the four Land Creation Realm cultivators closing in on it from behind, the shadowy demon beast understood that it would have to do something drastic if it wanted to continue staying alive.

Clashing with any of those four Land Creation Realm cultivators was simply far too dangerous without the protection of the larger shadow form that it had been forced to abandoned to escape into the forest region of the ancient alchemy sect ruins.

If the shadow form was simply a normal technique, it would have been able to just summon another one, but the shadowy form that had managed to keep it safe in the face of the combined attacks of four Land Creation Realm cultivators at the same time was far from that simple and had been slowly crafted by it out of boredom when it had still been stuck inside the treasury.

Although it was possible for it to rebuild the shadowy form again, it was something that would at least take a few months to complete. Not something that could be done while escaping...

And so, with that in mind, the shadowy demon beast decided to head towards the only location that it knew with absolute certainty would be dangerous enough to threaten the group of Land Creation Realm cultivators chasing it.

Soon enough, arriving in front of a towering ancient three-tiered pagoda that would have looked all too familiar to Chu Yang and his little group of friends, as it was none other than the ancient pagoda that he and his friends would have originally been forced into on behalf of the owner of the flying ship that they had found themselves trapped inside of back then.

However, different from the Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator who had gone in through the main entrance of the pagoda after charting a relatively safe passage for himself through the ancient formation that guarded the ancient three-tiered pagoda with the lives of hundreds of wandering cultivators, the shadowy demon beast instead rushed to the back of the ancient pagoda before rushing straight into a cracked section at the base of the towering ancient pagoda-

But, different from the expected sound of the shadowy demon beast colliding head on with the tough base of the ancient pagoda, only the sound of the swirling wind could be heard as the shadowy demon beast seemingly passed through the cracked part of the ancient pagoda’s base like it had never existed in the first place.

"This... An illusory barrier? Or maybe a secret entrance?"

"Who knows... Doesn’t matter, this little demon beast isn’t getting away just because its escapes into an ancient ruin!"

Seeing this, the group of Land Creation Realm cultivators chasing after it hesitated only for a short moment before deciding to follow the shadowy demon beast. Feeling confident that they would be able to deal with anything that this little demon beast could throw at them. After all, even if the ancient formation in place around the pagoda was powerful, they had already used their own means to analyze the place during the short time they had hesitated on whether to follow the shadowy demon beast or not. Allowing them to at least get a general idea about the strength of the ancient formation guarding the place.

Although powerful, it shouldn’t have reached the Star Creation Realm. Meaning that, they were confident in being able to deal with the ancient formation if it came down to it.

Not to mention, the shadowy demon beast wouldn’t recklessly enter this kind of formation just to throw its own life away and should have some understanding about the formation’s strength and wanted to take advantage of this understanding to shake them off its tail.

The main thing that worried them wasn’t so much the shadowy demon beast or the ancient formation, but more so their temporary alliance ending abruptly. For this reason, as the four stepped through the illusory barrier that the shadowy demon beast had disappeared to, they weren’t so much paying attention to their surroundings as they were focused on each other in case someone decided to take the chance while passing through the illusory barrier to launch a sneak attack-
