Chapter 1881 Meeting (3)
Chapter 1881 Meeting (3)
"I see, though he said you were only in the Dao Domain Lord Realm, but I guess it is difficult for someone like him to tell your strength without you showing it. Although… He did mention you wanted to repair those seals and from the looks of it, you should have recently broken through to the Saint Realm as a formation master.
Impressive, with enough time, it should be possible to repair the two seals relying on the Dao of Light, as for the remaining two… They might have been a bit problematic to repair only reaching the Third Heaven of the Saint Realm." Nodding her head as she observed him, the older woman began talking to herself as she seemingly came to her own conclusion about the current situation and the clear difference in strength between what had likely been reported to her by the old man called little Huo and his actual strength, something that Xuan Hao was more than happy to go along with.
The only one who still seemed somewhat cautious about the entire situation being the middle-aged man standing beside the older woman, though Xuan Hao decided to ignore this, as it was clear from a glance that the one in charge was the older woman. Not the man who most likely served as some kind of guard.
"Given that those troublesome seals have been repaired as well as I could do with my current strength, they should hold for another 50 to 100 years if things go well. So, there isn't much for you to worry about regarding those seals in the short term." Not at all picking up on the cautious expression on her guard's face, the older woman continued without break, as she reassured him about the state of the seal for the foreseeable future before a far more cautious look appeared in her eyes. "As for the future… I would recommend getting as far away from this place before those seals break, as this place will most likely turn into a battlefield between existences beyond the Profound Immortal Realm when that happens. Not something for us to get involved in."
Listening to the warning, Xuan Hao couldn't help feeling a slight shiver running down his spine, as he understood that this warning meant that the strength of the being that had been sealed had almost certainly reached the Venerable Realm that stood beyond the Profound Immortal Realm.
For the Star Shattering Sect to be able to survive this kind of existence, he himself would most likely have to break through to the Venerable Realm himself before those seals broke, as he doubted that he would get anywhere close to being able to do a better job at repairing those four ancient dao seals than the old woman who stood before him.
Although his comprehension was far higher than normal, he still understood that even taking a single step forward in the Dao of Formations would take a long time without lucky opportunities or assistance from the system.
With that in mind, he felt that it was far safer for him to bet on reaching the Venerable Realm in the next 50 to 100 years than spending all his time attempting to surpass this old woman in the Dao of Formations. Especially considering it was uncertain whether those ancient dao seals could even be fixed up anymore, as it was clear that this shouldn't have been the first time those ancient dao seals had been repaired.
Another solution would of course be for the chaotic qi formation guarding the sect to become strong enough to resist someone at the Venerable Realm, but in that case, the Star Shattering Sect would end up abandoning everything outside the Shattered Star Peak.
Although things could be rebuilt later, the Star Shattering Sect's reputation would undoubtedly take a hit and would be difficult to rebuild in the short term.
With that in mind, reaching the Venerable Realm was still the best way out of the situation, with the chaotic qi formation still being present as a form of backup in case things went wrong and at the same time also just to help better protect sect.
Overall, the current situation was still fine, as the Star Shattering Sect would at least have another 50 years of peaceful development without anything stopping further expansion and growth of the sect outside of the Blue Sea Empire that currently found itself far too busy dealing with demonic cultivators to care about the Star Shattering Sect.
The only slight worry in the back of his mind being potential trouble from the Western Central Region or the Southern Central Region, but given the current state of the continent, he doubted anyone had the energy to pay attention to an emerging ancient hidden sect like the Star Shattering Sect. Especially given said hidden ancient sect wasn't even within the core region of the continent and was instead located in the outer regions of the continent.
For the different major powers, this essentially meant that the Star Shattering Sect was seen as a nonthreat. Even more so due to it being an ancient hidden sect that rarely ever expanded their influence after reemerging.
Even if the Star Shattering Sect did expand a bit, it wouldn't really draw much attention before it began to expand into the core region of the continent. Meaning that the only major power currently viewing the Star Shattering Sect as a threat was the Blue Sea Empire that found itself far too busy with demonic cultivators to do anything about it…
"Something on your mind? Feel free to ask, given that you helped little Huo in the past, I will be more than happy to help if possible."
"Ah, sorry, I was just thinking about what to do in the future given that the ancient dao seals will only last for another fifty to a hundred years." Hearing the voice of the old woman once again, Xuan Hao realized that his thoughts had started running a bit wild thinking about what to do in the future to hopefully help the sect survive the danger that would come with those ancient dao seals breaking.
"No worries, it's understandable to worried considering you might have to move from this continent place you spent your entire life in." Not understanding what Xuan Hao was worried about nor the fact that he was thinking about reaching the Venerable Realm in the short time before the ancient dao seals broke, the old woman nodded her head with the thought that he was just worried about having to move from the Ewaria Continent.
"Ah, now that I think about it, you don't have much information about the endless ocean, do you?"
"No, I don't really have much information outside of the other major continents and a bit of the information the old- little Huo shared with me about the Fallen Immortal Archipelago. If it isn't too much to ask, do you perhaps know of anywhere I can go to avoid the danger?" Hearing what the older woman said, Xuan Hao decided to instantly jump at the opportunity. Hoping to gain some useful information for when he would inevitably end up travelling outside the Ewaria Continent.
"Somewhere to go? Hm… With your strength, it would be fine to go anywhere, though, I would recommend avoiding the other major continents as the legacies of those continents are more intact than this one. Even the Profound Immortal Realm isn't enough to ensure safety if you end up stepping on the feet of the wrong person.
With that in mind, I would love for you to come to the Fallen Immortal Archipelago. Not too far away from the different major continents, while being far safer under the guardianship of my family and the other two major families in control of the archipelago. Generally, if you don't seek out trouble, it's safe. At the same time, it also serves as a location for cultivators exploring the endless ocean to rest."
"Sounds great, but I don't really know how to get there… After all, the endless ocean is quite dangerous…" Nodding along with what the older woman said, Xuan Hao didn't bother hiding his worries, something that caused the older woman to nod her head in understanding.
"I know information on the endless ocean isn't to easily accessible on this continent outside those religious fanatics on the southern part of the continent-"
Whoosh~
"Take this for now, it holds general information on the endless ocean surrounding this continent and a relatively safe path to the Fallen Immortal Archipelago. If you want more information on the endless ocean, it won't be that difficult to find once you reach the Fallen Immortal Archipelago."
"Thank you!" Looking at the small jade that had been thrown out by the old woman, Xuan Hao genuinely thanked her as a look of excitement appeared on his face. Not just because of the information he had managed to get his hands on, but also because of the jade slip itself, as it was a simple yet effective storage device for information that could be directly read by simply infusing divine sense into the jade slip. Rare on the Ewaria Continent not just because it was expensive and difficult to make, but also because most advanced cultivation manuals and techniques couldn't be stored inside a jade slip as effectively as a book or manuscript.
Although it might last longer stored inside a jade slip, the intent that would be left behind by the creator of a cultivation manual or technique couldn't be stored and would essentially make it more difficult for the one reading to comprehend.
Not to mention, for a major power large enough, it was simple enough to permanently store things like books with the help of certain formations and other things and preserve the original intent of the creator.
Storing techniques or cultivation manual with jade slips was essentially wasteful and not worth it. At most, it could preserve the cultivation technique or manual after the sect, empire or religion perished, but… Why would anyone bother trying to preserve their techniques and cultivation manuals for after they were destroyed…?
