Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 1891 A Fateful Encounter (3)

Chapter 1891  A Fateful Encounter (3)

"Mhm!?" Wanting to call out to the two women, Chen Qiu realized that his mouth had been covered by what turned out to be a green colored rope that also tightly kept him locked in place. Unable to move or do anything else that might catch the attention of the two who seemed busy working on the thing that had captured both him and his brother. Even worse, it looked like the two of them were about to leave and seemingly deemed the strange object they had created failure. Discussing how they would just leave it in the forest and allow it to become one with the forest, something that would undoubtedly result in him and his brother being left to die on their own.

After all, from the struggle he had put up so far, he understood that there was no way for him to break free from the green rope that bound him or his brother and that was without mentioning the fact that he could feel the grip of the green rope starting to slowly tighten.

If those two women really did end up leaving, it would be nothing short of a death sentence for him and his brother.

To stop this, he had to find some way to catch the attention of the two women who seemed completely uninterested in their surroundings outside of observing the strange object that the green ropes had emerged from.

The problem was, even if he was unable to make a sound in his current state, the struggle he had made so far should have been enough to catch the attention of the two seniors who had created the strange object that had captured him and his brother…

"Huh? It seems like those green vines it grew are rather lively?"

"Hm? Now that you mention it, they are moving far more vigorously compared to before! Mui, do you think this is a sign that the vine box is about to evolve!? Will it really be able to produce wines capable of easily growing delicious spiritual fruits!?"

"Maybe… I can't tell, let's wait a bit longer and see if something changes. If not, we will move to the next one! One of them need to succeed or I will have to wait for the spiritual fruits back in the sect to mature every time I want to eat some…" Muttering the last part in a slightly lower voice to herself as she answered Song Jia, Mui turned her full attention towards the strange object that the green ropes or rather vines had emerged from filled with anticipation.

The two women that these two brother had encountered shortly into their long journey to the Shattered Star Peak was indeed none other than Song Jia and Mui, even worse, the two had yet to notice the two suffering wandering cultivators who had unknowingly been caught by the vines that had emerged from the strange object that had come to life in this remote forest close to the borders of the Star Shattering Sect.

As for why these two found themselves hidden away so far from the sect and close to the borders of its territory… That simply had to do with a recent project Mui had taken on shortly after the spiritual water flood incident, a project that made it rather difficult for her to engage in large projects like the one she was currently in the process of undergoing in an attempt to create something that would be able to help ensure a supply of delicious spiritual fruits for both herself and her best friend in the future.

Of course, these experiments of Mui hadn't gone unnoticed by the Star Shattering Sect or more accurately, Elder Song, but given that most of the failed experiments and creations of Mui And Song Jia were found inside relatively remote forests and were also themed around nature, they had been chalked up to odd natural occurrences that ended up being taken care of by the sect's disciples in most cases, with only some of the more dangerous ones being handled directly by the sect's elders.

In a way, Mui was providing the sect's elders and disciples unique experiences whenever they were dispatched to deal with one of the rampant or broken creations she had left behind, a truly benevolent senior sister who helped train her younger brothers and sisters and made sure they were prepared for anything when they ventured outside the safety of the sect's territory in the future.

Not that these juniors of hers showed appreciation towards the anomalies she left behind, as these strange creations had already become dreaded amongst the younger generation of the Star Shattering Sect, being rumored to be natural treasures that had failed to form or spiritual herbs that failed to elevate themselves and mutated in a strange direction.

But then again, if Mui and Song Jia knew about this, there was no way the two of them would dare to step in and correct the record. After all, neither of them wanted to get Elder Song chasing after them again for causing trouble. Better just let those elders and group of juniors guess amongst each other.

Unknowingly, these strange creations left behind by Mui ended up being part of the Star Shattering Sect's future education for younger disciples about the wider world and the unexpected dangers that lurked around every corner, though one of the reasons why this could even persist had to do with the fact that Mui realized it was far easier to experiment and create things in peace outside the Star Shattering Sect where she had to worry about Elder Song.

But that was something for another time, as for now, Mui found her attention fully captured by the strangely wriggling green vines that emerged from her latest creation. Lost in thought wondering if this vigorous shaking was a sign that spiritual fruits were about to emerge on the green vine at any second.

However, as seconds turned into minutes, Mui found herself growing impatient. Not just because the shaking had grown less vigorous, but also because there was no sign of any spiritual fruits on the green vine.

"Haaa… Another failure…" Shaking her head as she quietly frowned to herself while saying this, Mui understood from a glance that this little creation was yet another failure. Not able to provide her with the spiritual fruits she wanted to snack on, a truly devastating situation.

Not just because it was another failure, but more so because she knew she had almost used up all of her resources over the past few days outside the sect with Song Jian and essentially only had enough resources for one more attempt before she had to go back and earn herself some more contribution points to get more spiritual herbs, spiritual metals and other useful materials needed for what she planned on creating.

That or she could go to Elder Song again… No… That would be impossible, as the resources she had used over the last few days had all come from Elder Song, a reward for her helping elevate one of the sect's qi springs and in turn helping improve the overall cultivation environment of the sect… And it would be suspicious for her to come asking him for more cultivation resources just a few days after she had gone to him for a massive number of resources that would be impossible for someone like herself to go through in such a short time.

Surely, it would be enough for the old man to put two and two together and realize she had something to do with the recent strange encounters throughout the sect's territory, something she couldn't allow to happen, as Elder Song would almost certainly step in to manage the situation and ruin her current peaceful existence where she could freely create things without any interference .

Outside of that, there was also her master, but Mui feared that her master might grow curious about what she was up to and decide to investigate the situation in person, while informing Elder Song about what he found in the process.

Meaning that this next attempt might really end up being the last she made that had a chance of succeeding-

"Mhhmm!"

But just as Mui was about to bring Song Jia along and leave the place, a barely audible mumbling sound cut through the brief silence, causing both women to turn around with a surprised look on their faces, neither having expected that someone had been able to sneak up on them.

"Huh? Mui… I think someone got tied up over there…"

"Wow… Indeed, guess those vines are good for something after all."

And not a second later did the two women discover the two wandering cultivators who had been captured by the green vines, one already passed out, while the second was barely holding on. Having seemingly used his last little bit of strength to scream out with all his might in an attempt to catch their attention before he suffered a similar fate…
