Feeling the internal state of the defensive formations breaking apart along with having to face off against the Blood Sea Demon King by himself, someone who was far above the Middle Stage of the Land Creation Realm in terms of strength. Even standing above the average Peak Land Creation Realm cultivator, the old ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire understood that there was no way for him to continue holding on for much longer, as it had become awfully clear that the Blood Sea Demon King intended to topple his Blue Sea Empire before the time limit imposed by the Star Shattering Sect arrived. Clearly, though there was a higher chance of the Star Shattering Sect siding with the demonic cultivators in the current conflict, he didn't want to run the risk of the Star Shattering Sect siding against them.

At the end of the day, they were still demonic cultivators and there was still a rather big chance that the Star Shattering Sect wouldn't align with them out of principle even if they had a somewhat positive relationship with the Frozen Wastelands while having a more hostile one with the Blue Sea Empire.

Because of this, though he also understood that there still was a chance of the Star Shattering Sect taking the side of the demonic cultivators, the old ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire could not help silently wishing that the Star Shattering Sect would show up a few days ahead of time. Hoping that they would help him get out of his current precarious situation.

Even if the Star Shattering Sect didn't interfere, their arrival alone would pause the battle and give him a chance to purge the influence of the blood spirit qi wreaking havoc throughout the internal structure of his defensive formations.

Unfortunately, no matter how hard he wished for the Star Shattering Sect to show up ahead of time, the person who would be showing up, Xuan Hao, was still knocked out inside the ascension secret realm and had no way to jump forward to help the Blue Sea Empire.

In the end, as the situation continued to worsen, the Ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire felt one of the more critical formations starting to crumble from the side, a sight that was seen by not just the Blood Sea Demon King, but also the two Land Creation Realm cultivators struggling to hold back the remaining five demonic cultivators on their own… And though one of these two Land Creation Realm cultivators was someone loyal from the Blue Sea Empire who would stay behind and fight for the Blue Sea Empire survival even in the face of overwhelming odds-

The second wasn't about to risk his own life for the Blue Sea Empire, as he wasted no time turning around to escape after realizing that the Blue Sea Empire wouldn't be able to resist the demonic cultivators for much longer, something that the demonic cultivators were more than happy to see, as they allowed this Land Creation Realm cultivator to escape without stepping forward to try and stop him. Understanding that it was better to let this person go, as a Land Creation Realm cultivator pushed to the brink could bring about devasting consequences that none of the demonic cultivators were willing to face if it could be avoided. Especially considering the one escaping wasn't originally someone from the Blue Sea Empire, but instead someone hired from the Southern Central Region.

"Curse you! Blood Sea Demon King!"

Seeing this as well, the Ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire didn't blame his friend for escaping but instead cursed the Blood Sea Demon King for the current situation, something that only earned a small chuckle from the latter, as he understood full well that the Blue Sea Empire was about to come to an end.

Still, though he understood that the Blue Sea Empire was about to end, he didn't let his guard down and continued to pressure the Ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire with his full strength. Understanding that an old empire like the Blue Sea Empire who had ruled a large portion of the Northern Central Region for a long time undoubtedly had more trump cards outside of the countless defensive formations that would under normal circumstances at most be capable of holding back someone at the Peak of the Land Creation Realm.

The problem was, though the Blue Sea Empire might have some trump cards that reached the level of the Star Creation Realm, using them would come at a cost that even at this point, the Ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire was unwilling to pay. After all, those trump cards served as the foundation of the Blue Sea Empire and the reason they had been able to establish such a large empire in the first place. By using those trump cards, even if the Blue Sea Empire managed to survive, it wouldn't be able to regain its status as one of the dominant powers in the Northern Central Region.

Not to mention, their old enemies would undoubtedly take advantage of their weakened state to ensure that the Blue Sea Empire would never be able to rise again.

After all, if the Blue Sea Empire did use those trump cards to deal with the demonic cultivators, it also meant that these major powers who were worrying about the encroachment of the demonic cultivators into the central region of the Northern Central Region wouldn't have to worry about the demonic cultivators any longer.

In other words, the Ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire was caught in a rather troublesome situation. No matter what he did, it would ultimately result in the inevitable fall of the Blue Sea Empire.

The only somewhat positive that might come from fending off the demonic cultivators instead of turning tail and trying to escape, was the fact that the Blue Sea Empire did now posses two Land Creation Realm cultivators and should be able to remain stable even in the face of their old enemies, unless those old enemies decided to team up, something that was unlikely considering the continued existence of the Blue Sea Empire would help somewhat keep the Wei Empire in check, as the Wei Empire would undoubtedly benefit the most from the fall of the Blue Sea Empire, as they would be left with no one to challenge their continued expansion.

But as the battle continued to drag on and the defensive formations that had been set up over thousands of years began crumbling one by due to the internal corruption caused by the blood spiritual qi that had managed to infiltrate the defensive formations, the old ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire realized that he wasn't left with any choice.

Not because he was unable to escape, but instead because he wouldn't be able to take the foundation of the Blue Sea Empire along with him. The Blood Sea Demon King being far too powerful to allow him to do something like that without dying in the process, as the formations could hardly hold him back for more than a few minutes on their own. Far from enough for him to uproot the foundation of the Blue Sea Empire and bring it along with him.

For this reason, the Ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire felt like his hand had been forced, as he decided to activate the true core of the Blue Sea Empire, a towering ancient formation that originally served to protect the ancient ruins that the capital city of the Blue Sea Empire was placed on top of. Having been repurposed and partially controlled by the old ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire through tens of thousands of years of painstaking effort. Effort that had also ended up allowing this old ancestor to become the most skilled formation master throughout the Northen Central Region of the continent.

As the towering formation rose and burned through an enormous quantity of resources that even a long-standing empire like the Blue Sea Empire wouldn't be able to bear to supply more than once, a terrifying aura spread out across the battlefield. Soon enough spreading beyond the boundaries of the Blue Sea Empire and into the surrounding major power's territory, as the heart palpitating aura made even the Ancestor of the Wei Empire shiver in fear.

The sheer scale and power of this ancient formation, though heavily damaged and far from fully active. Carried with it a presence that surpassed the Profound Immortal Realm. Even the fraction of this ancient formation's power that the Ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire had been able to activate and bring under his control had surpassed the Land Creation Realm and stepped into the Star Creation Realm. Not something the Blood Sea Demon King would be able to survive.

"DIE! YOU DAMNABLE DEMONIC CULTIVATOR!"

Knowing this, the Ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire didn't hesitate for a second, as he mobilized the terrifying power of the ancient formation to attack the Blood Sea Demon King. Intending to end him alongside the five demonic cultivators who were about to kill the recently promoted Land Creation Realm cultivator from his side.
