Chapter 1974  Mistaken Strength

Faced with the might of the Blood Sea Demon King head on for the first time since his last visit to the Frozen Wastelands where it now became clear that the other party hadn't shown off his full strength, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a growing sense of excitement as he observed the Blood Sea Demon King who had appeared in front of him.

Strong as he was, he wasn't the slightest bit afraid of this demonic cultivator and could only be considered to have been a bit taken aback by the display of power from the other party the second he appeared. After all, it was clear that the stance of this fellow was far more forceful so to speak compared to their last brief encounter.

The reason for this could be many, but the one he felt was most likely would be that he wanted to resolve the situation without engaging in any kind of battle against him. After all, if he had wanted to test out his strength, he wouldn't have bothered to appear so domineering in front of him. Instead, he would have just launched an attack the second he revealed his presence.

In a way, this kind of reaction from the Blood Sea Demon King was understandable, as the presence he himself gave off was by no means weak and even somewhat unique in a way that difficult for others to tell his true cultivation realm. The main reason for this being the fact that his Stellar Dao Body completely changed his presence from what would have been normal for someone in the Land Creation Realm.

Changing it to the point that it more so resembled that of someone in the Star Creation Realm. Making the also somewhat cautious approach of the Blood Sea Demon King understandable.

After all, in the eyes of the Blood Sea Demon King, even if he might not appear as someone who had reached the Star Creation Realm, he would at least appear like someone only a single step away from the Star Creation Realm. Not that different from himself who was also a single step away from reaching that realm of strength.

Because of this, the Blood Sea Demon King truly had no plans of fighting with him. Especially considering that he had already recognized Xuan Hao as the person from the Star Shattering Sect he had briefly encountered back when a certain Land Creation Realm spiritual tree and a monk from the Western Central Region had ended up causing chaos throughout the Frozen Wastelands.

Although he clearly remembered that Xuan Hao should have only been someone at the Sea Formation Realm back then, he didn't think too much about it and just thought that he had used some way to conceal his true cultivation realm. Likely not wanting to draw unwanted attention to the Star Shattering Sect, while also using the opportunity to ensure that the different major powers within the Northern Central Region didn't have any reckless ideas of attacking the Star Shattering Sect that had at least clearly displayed a level of strength that couldn't be taken lightly.

However, as the Blood Sea Demon King thought about how Xuan Hao had hidden his true cultivation realm back then, he also couldn't help feeling like he might still be hiding his true cultivation realm from him.

This train of thought occurred not just because of how seemingly perfectly he had hidden his true cultivation from him the last time around, but also because he still couldn't fully sense Xuan Hao's cultivation base. Looking closer, he could even sense something terrifying that caused a shiver to run down his spine. Making part of him believe that the person in front of him wasn't just someone close to the Star Creation Realm, but instead someone who had already stepped into the Star Creation Realm.

This kind of existence, even if he had his full strength and wasn't in an injured state, he had no plan of fighting against.

After all, even if the Frozen Wastelands might possess the means to take down someone in the Star Creation Realm. Doing so would inevitably reveal far too much of what had been kept hidden so far and would inevitably end up drawing the attention of the Southern Central Region's major powers, something that would ruin the plans that had been carefully laid out by the Blood Sea Demon King himself and those behind him.

Not to mention, the person standing in front of him wasn't just any Star Creation Realm cultivator, but someone from an ancient hidden sect.

Such an existence was far more difficult to deal with and in most cases possessed survival methods that would even render a demonic cultivator above the Demon King Realm helpless.

For this reason, unless absolutely necessary, the Blood Sea Demon King had no intention of engaging with this person from the Star Shattering sect that had already been determined to be some senior figure of this ancient hidden sect at the Star Creation Realm after a few seconds of internal deliberation.

What is this guy doing? Isn't he going to attack me to test out my strength…?

Unaware of the Blood Sea Demon King's train of thought and the fact that he had already branded him as some ancient monster at the Star Creation Realm, Xuan Hao could not help mentally tilting his head in confusion as he looked towards the Blood Sea Demon King who had already slightly lowered his head in a show of respect. Not understanding for the life of him what was up with this demonic cultivator.

"So… About the situation regarding the Blue Sea Empire…"

"Ah! Senior need not worry, the main cause behind this are the different major powers from the Northern Central Region who are curious about the strength of your sect, I… I have tried to send out my people to calm the situation down, but they are too few and too weak to handle the situation.

I would have liked to deal with the situation myself, but as you have probably already noticed, I'm not exactly in an optional state after my clash with that last ditch effort from the Blue Sea Empire to protect itself and have been in seclusion recovering my strength over the past few days"

"I see…" Listening to the Blood Sea Demon King who suddenly began talking like he was explaining the situation to a superior of his, Xuan Hao could only nod his head and answer with a simple "I see" before going quiet. Not understanding what in the world had happened to the Blood Sea Demon King to suddenly act so subservient before him, even referring to him as senior.

Unless… Did this fellow perhaps misunderstand my strength as already having reached the Star Creation Realm? Is that why he didn't outright attack me earlier…?

Feeling somewhat shocked at this thought, Xuan Hao could not help turning to look towards the Blood Sea Demon King once again. Only to see him shrink back slightly, a clear sign of unease on his face. All but confirming his thought that this person had truly misunderstood his strength as being far greater than it was.

Originally, he realized that his presence was a bit different from someone normal at the Land Creation Realm thanks to his Stellar Dao Body, but he had never expected the difference to be so great that someone like the Blood Sea Demon King directly mistook him for someone in the Star Creation Realm.

Although this was good as it would prevent any trouble for the sect in the foreseeable future and would firmly plant the sect at the top of the Northern Central Region, the appearance of someone in the Star Creation Realm would inevitably also draw the attention of the Southern Central Region major powers. Not to mention, his original plan of fighting the Blood Sea Demon King would have to be scraped for now.

But it didn't mean he lacked people to test out his strength against, as there was no lack of Land Creation Realm cultivators causing chaos at the borders of the Blue Sea Empire who hadn't yet realized someone from the Star Shattering Sect had already shown up.

However, if he wanted to maintain the illusion of him being someone in the Star Creation Realm, he would have to be far more forceful compared to the slower battle he had originally intended to test out his strength against those Land Creation Realm cultivators in a way that would make them think of him as a senior figure in the Land Creation Realm testing out their strength.

Although he could still do this, it would become clear from a few exchanges that he wasn't someone in the Star Creation Realm.

Outside of that, he also liked the idea of being more domineering in his approach, as it would better help ensure that none dared to take the Star Shattering Sect lightly in the future… And it was a chance to test out his full strength against those Land Creation Realm cultivators for the first time since reaching the Land Creation Realm and awakening his Stellar Dao Body, something he hadn't originally intended to do, as he understood full well that someone at the Early Stage of the Land Creation Realm wouldn't stand much of a chance in the face of his full strength.

After all, using everything, his full strength should reach the Late Stage of the Land Creation Realm and potentially even touch the Peak of the Land Creation Realm if he was lucky. Not something someone in the Early Stage of the Land Creation Realm could survive.
