As Xuan Hao was busy investigating the situation of the holy sanctum looking for any clues that might be able to point him towards what the old injurie suffered by the demigod of the Heavens Faith Sect was and how he would be able to take advantage of it to kill the demigod of the Heavens Faith Sect, the holy light disciple who had led him and the rest of the awaiting bestowal disciple inside the holy sanctum called out and praised everyone for their work before informing them about the rewards they would be capable of choosing, causing the already excited awaiting bestowal disciple to show clear looks of excitement on their faces. None of them, having expected this simple trip to the holy sanctum, would be able to earn them a reward for work that hadn't even taken them an hour to complete.

However, to Xuan Hao, who hadn't been earnestly listening to the praise from the holy light disciple, he ignored essentially everything about the rewards he would be able to receive and instead focused on the fact that he would be able to visit the merit hall.

Not because the merit hall itself was anything special, but instead because the location of the merit hall the holy light disciple standing above referred to was one located inside the holy sanctum even closer to the demigod of the Heavens Faith Sect compared to the spiritual herb garden. Close enough that it would give him a chance to examine the demigod up close without having to rely on his divine sense.

Maybe this was another form of reward for the awaiting bestowal disciples, being able to get closer to their god, but to Xuan Hao, this was an indispensable opportunity to potentially find out where the injury on the demigod was located without having to risk using his divine sense to try and forcibly examine the demigod.

Although the chance of spotting a hidden injurie in this kind of manner without using divine sense was close to zero, he didn't really see any better way to spend the few hours he had left before he ran out of time and the soul back in the branch sect perished. The only saving grace in that regard was the fact that the guardian formation of the Heavens Faith Sect wasn't too difficult to understand with his current comprehension of the Dao of Formation. Having already seen through it after entering the holy sanctum, as it was essentially made up of six formation pillars dispersed around the holy sanctum forming a hexagram centered on the demigod at the very core. Showing a clear priority target for protection.

To destroy this formation, he just needed to destroy these formation pillars before they could be activated. Not difficult in the slightest since the Heavens Faith Sect hadn't bothered hiding the locations of these formation pillars and they were openly accessible to the disciples within the holy sanctum. Clearly, the Heavens Faith Sect didn't imagine someone would be able to sneak inside the holy sanctum without being discovered.

Then again, it wasn't entirely their fault, as they had been in control of the entire world for over a million years without encountering anyone capable of challenging their power and control over the world, it was understandable they would grow a bit careless and unable to imagine someone being bold enough to sneak inside their sect and attack them from the inside. Even more so when considering how difficult it was to sneak past the formation in the first place, as it required someone to at the very least have reached the Perfection Realm in the Dao of Formations.

Shaking his head as he thought this to himself while leaving behind a small remotely controlled formation that would allow him to blow it up from afar on one of the formation pillars he passed by on his way towards the merit hall of the holy sanctum, Xuan Hao silently went over the other formation pillars within the holy sanctum. Having now left such a small and almost undetectable formation on two other formation pillars. Needing to only place three more such formations before, he essentially had the ability to instantly destroy the guardian formation of the Heavens Faith Sect.

Of course, part of him had thought about seizing control of the guardian formation and turning it against the demigod of the Heavens Faith Sect to launch a deadly attack far beyond anything he could accomplish on his own, but a quick survey of the formation through the foundational pillars had revealed a terrifying presence that was very likely the demigod of the Heavens Faith Sect guarding the core control of the formation itself. Meaning his only choice was to destroy it…

Arriving at the merit hall right next to the towering demigod of the Heavens Faith Sect, Xuan Hao silently placed a small formation on the foundational formation pillar standing right in front of the entrance of the merit hall like a display piece for the passing members of the Heavens Faith Sect to admire. Feeling a sense of growing ease with how lacking everyone's sense of danger was.

Even though his current disguise wouldn't hold up in the face of anyone at the Celestial Immortal Realm and he had originally been quite worried about this, he had found out that none of the Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators he passed by paid him and the other awaiting bestowal disciple any mind and continued on their way without even sparing a single glance.

In a way, it wasn't wrong to say that a single glance would have been enough to save the Heavens Faith Sect from what was about to come…

Smiling somewhat wryly as he thought about this as he continued his rather reckless infiltration of the Heavens Faith Sect, Xuan Hao understood that he would have never considered using this kind of reckless infiltration under normal circumstances. In the process, he also swept over the group of juniors, examining every single one of them before pausing at Xuan Hao for a few seconds before moving on with a small nod.

Out of everyone, he felt Xuan Hao was the most likely to receive the lord's blessing. After all, while everyone else was clamoring about the great opportunity that had been granted to them and frolicking around wanting to take full advantage of their time inside the holy sanctum, he was the only one wholeheartedly focused on the lord.

Just looking at the devoted expression on his face as he gazed up at the holy lord filled him with a sense of happiness and hope for this junior of his. Sincerely hoping that this devoted junior would soon join him as a holy light disciple.

Even if this junior didn't end up successfully becoming a holy light disciple, he planned to pay extra attention to him when he left and planned to find other opportunities for him in the future. After all, such a devoted junior was rare and had to be uplifted as an example for the other juniors to follow!

Smiling to himself as he thought about this while walking away from the merit hall, the senior holy light disciple noted down the appearance of this dedicated junior brother. Planning on personally leading him out when the time was up and he and the rest had to leave the holy sanctum.
