Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 2106 Mui's Formation~

Chapter 2106 Mui's Formation~

Following He Jie's agreement to be the one in the lead and follow along, Mui brightened up significantly. After all, this wasn't the first group of disciples she had cau- recruited for help and the other groups didn't even have a single person stepping forward to take charge and she had been forced to delegate the responsibility to one person at random. Although the other party seemed happy to follow her instructions after knowing that not doing so would significantly increase the failure rate of the formation she was working it, it still made her somewhat uncertain about the success of everything.

Not to mention, it took longer to teach someone inherently unwilling to learn and help compared to someone stepping forward as eagerly as He Jie had done. After all, though the creation of the formation itself wasn't something that was time sensitive, the few people she had recruited to aid her after an earlier failure to recruit people through the mission pavilion would undoubtedly draw the attention of the newly formed law enforcement hall along with Elder Song.

If she didn't finish things fast enough this time around, she had a feeling that she would never be able to get a chance at creating the formation she had secretly been working so hard on creating.

For this reason, she hurried He Jie through what he needed to do before setting off towards another branching river formed by the spiritual qi lake up on the Seventh Star Peak that she had expanded a few years earlier. Her goal this time around being something she had long started thinking about ever since the rivers of spiritual water splitting off from the Seventh Star Peak had officially been created.

In the end, He Jie was left sitting on the spiritual water river with a somewhat confused expression on his face. Not because he didn't understand the instructions Mui had left for him on what he needed to do, but instead because he didn't understand how following the movements of the spiritual water river beneath him in the pattern taught to him by Mui would be able to assist him in breaking through to the Foundation Establishment and potentially even directly propel him all the way into the Core Formation Realm in a single step.

Of course, with the other party being a senior far stronger than himself and already knowing just how far above the cultivation of those traditional immortal cultivators from his home world the seniors from the Star Shattering Sect were, he didn't doubt a word she said and only felt a bit confused. In the end, he fully trusted this senior, as he also understood that the Core Formation Realm wasn't exactly considered something amazing in the eyes of a large sect like the Star Shattering Sect.

In a way, reaching this normally unreachable cultivation realm wasn't even enough for him to be considered strong among the disciples of the Star Shattering Sect, as there even existed disciples at the Nascent Soul Realm above that. The true peak amongst the disciples of the Star Shattering Sect being at the realm even above the Nascent Soul Realm, a realm known as the Domain Lord Realm. A cultivation realm he hadn't even heard about during his time in the ancient secret realm.

The amazement of He Jie aside, Mui soon enough finished up recruiting the final group of disciples required for operating the formation she had long since laid down surrounding the Seventh Star Peak using the spiritual water rivers as the core of this grand formation. Being forced to recruit a few members of the law enforcement hall in the process to avoid them leaking news to the more members of the law enforcement hall who undoubtedly had the strength to contact Elder Song, who had more than enough power in his hands to put an end to what she was doing.

In a way, Elder Song was the only person she truly feared finding out about what she was up to, as the other seniors and elders of the sect were more than happy to just watch things playing out from the side after they had personally witnessed how beneficial her last little experiment focused on the qi spring lake had been for the overall development of the sect.

After all, though she had done her best to hide what she was up to, it was inevitable that some of the elders and other seniors at the Domain Lord Realm and above would notice it the second they released their divine sense and allowed it to spread beyond the Seventh Star Peak.

In fact, there were already a few such elders observing everything from above curious about what she was going to create this time around. The most prominent among them being none other than Feng Chen, the sect master, who had just recently left seclusion only to be informed by a recently recruited disciple that he had kidnapped by Mui to become some sort of mobile formation pillar.

Funny as this kind of thing was to the sect master, he also wanted to find out just what this unpredictable disciple of Xuan Hao was up to, deciding to observe from the side without informing Elder Song about the situation. After all, even if things ended up turning dangerous, he was confident that he would be able to manage the situation with his cultivation and the assistance of the chaotic qi formation.

Part of him also felt curious about the benefits Mui had mentioned to his disciples and wanted to see just how these benefits would manifest as it might bring about some new way to help the disciples of the sect advance in the future…

RUUUUMBLE-!

And so, with no one around to stop her and Song Jia's assistance from the side, Mui managed to successfully complete all the preparation for activating the formation. The seven branching rivers formed by the excess spiritual water flowing off the sides of the mountain lighting up as a vast formation shaped like a thin circle formed around the Seventh Star Peak, causing the once calm rivers to stir violently as waves rose and fell. The disciples that had turned into mobile formation pillars by her panicking at the sudden turn of event, as the paper with crooked symbols painted on top of them lighting up. Forming a small pillar of light that connected to the circular formation above, while at the same time also stabilizing the people holding the paper and preventing them from being capsized by the increasingly tall waves all around them.

He Jie and other disciple who had been chosen and taught by Mui knew that this was the moment for them to act, as they directly drove their spiritual qi into the paper and moved according to the patterns that Mui had instructed them. Driving everyone around them into a strange dance on the turbulent river. Creating a unique movement in the lights connected to the circular formation above that in turn began spinning alongside the strange motion of those from below, causing the river below to turn even more turbulent.

Still, though the river filled with spiritual qi should have long since overflown and overturned the surrounding disciple dwellings, the spiritual water about to splash out of bounds and sweep away a few unlucky disciples was entirely contained within the banks of the river. Not even a single drop leaking out.

Of course, this had nothing to do with Mui preparing ahead of time to avoid damage. Instead, it had to do with Feng Chen stepping in as the sect master to mobilize the chaotic qi formation to create an invisible barrier to prevent another situation where half the sect was leveled.

Originally, he had feared that this might end up interfering with the strange circular formation that was slowly spinning above, but after blocking a bit of the spiritual water, he realized that the formation was entirely reliant on the rivers and blocking water from splashing out didn't harm it and instead only seemed to strengthen it. Increasing the chances of whatever Mui wanted to accomplish with this formation.

Because of this, Feng Chen saw no reason to hold back and had directly mobilized the chaotic qi formation to block off the seven rivers branching off from the Seventh Star Peak. Not just in the area around the Seventh Star Peak, but throughout the entire Shattered Star Peaks, he clearly sensed that while the commotion caused by this formation was greatest close to the Seventh Star Peak, it wasn't limited to just the part of the rivers closest to the Seventh Star Peak.

Though the commotion elsewhere was smaller, it was clear from a glance that the turbulence was increasing and a few disciple who had been inside the river further downstream had been caught in the chaos caused by Mui and had to be dragged out by him before he directly sealed off the seven rivers completely. Preventing anyone from recklessly or accidentally falling in before he shifted his attention back to Mui. Curious about what she hoped to accomplish this time around.
