Chapter 2208: Meeting Time Decided
Chapter 2208: Meeting Time Decided
Seeing how Lu Wen was essentially swallowed up by the group of female disciples and elders that had seemingly spawned out of nowhere, it took Xuan Hao a good few seconds before he stepped forward and used his domain to discreetly pull Lu Wen out of the troublesome situation, he had ended up finding himself in. Feeling somewhat bewildered over what had just happened before quickly ensuring that those female elders and disciples couldn’t see them as Lu Wen silently followed behind him after what had just happened. "Thank you..." Only opening his mouth to thank him for the assistance after they had moved a good distance away from the sect master’s residence where he had been ambushed.
"No problem. So, I see that you are doing well compared to when you first entered the sect. Already an elder. If you have any questions regarding your cultivation. Feel free to ask." Not knowing how else to get the conversation moving, Xuan Hao decided to just be matter of fact and ask Lu Wen if there was anything he needed help with when it came to his cultivation.
"Huh? Ah! Of course, there is a lot! For one..." A response Lu Wen was overjoyed to hear, as he wasted no time jumping at the opportunity to ask some questions regarding his own cultivation that had bottlenecked him. Moving away from the somewhat awkward atmosphere as the two made their way towards Falling Star City where the small delegation from the Myriad Treasure Hall was waiting.
After the little incident outside the sect master’s courtyard, the rest of the journey through the sect alongside Lu Wen went smoothly with him asking questions and him answering, though one of the main reasons why the rest of the journey was problem free undoubtedly had to do with the fact that he had used his domain to obscure the two of them from view. Something that had become obvious with how they had run into no small number of female elders ad disciples along the way searching for Lu Wen.
The impressive charm of Lu Wen aside, Xuan Hao soon enough found himself parting ways with the now young elder of the sect that had entered the sect at the same time as his first disciple. Feeling a sense of happiness at how his disciples weren’t the only ones who had been improving over the years, but their peers had also made progress in their cultivation that would have been impossible if they had ended up spending their life in a sect with strength like the Flying Sword Sect of the past.
Back to the matter at hand, Xuan Hao casually announced his presence to one of the members of the delegation that had been waiting for him before being shown inside. After which everything proceeded smoothly, as a meeting time was quickly arranged to take place ten days later. The delegation along with the elder from the Myriad Treasure Hall showed just how important this meeting with the Star Shattering Sect was to them, as ten days would barely be enough for the elder to reach the Star Shattering Sect located all the way in the Northern Central Region.
After all, though it might have taken at most a few hours if not less than an hour for him, he had the Dao of Space to rely on for travel. Powerful as the Myriad Treasure Hall might be, it was still difficult for them to get someone skilled in the Dao of Space to send their elder to the Northern Central Region. Especially in the current tumultuous state of the Southern Central Region. For them to even be able to reach the Northern Central Region within ten days was a clear show of the strength of the Myriad Treasure Hall.
Not only was it something that required a strong enough flying artifact that could reach the Northern Central Region in such a short time, but it also needed a clear path through the different territories of major powers along the way, something that would undoubtedly have be far more difficult in the current chaotic state of the Southern Central Region.
Just thinking about how difficult it would be for him to travel through the Southern Central Region without having the Dao of Space to rely on made him understand why those different major powers didn’t end up easily moving out of the Southern Central Region. After all, just one wrong step and you might end up accidentally stepping into someone’s territory without permission.
While fine for weaker cultivators or wandering cultivators that were of no threat, the same couldn’t be said if some powerful figure at the Star Creation Realm suddenly entered the territory of a major power without any prior approval. After all, a being at that realm meant one could do significant damage within a short time if not stopped. Damaging potential important dao grounds or other resource rich regions within their borders.
Following the relatively short interaction with the delegation from the Myriad Treasure Hall, where a proper meeting time was established between the sect and the Myriad Treasure Hall, Xuan Hao didn’t waste any time and made his way towards the border region between the Star Shattering Sect and the Frozen Wastelands where the battle between the sect’s younger disciples and demonic cultivators was a constant. Expecting to find the winged lion demon beast there...
"Hm? Not here?" However, surprisingly enough, when he got to the border region where he expected to find the winged lion demon beast secluded somewhere while watching over the elders and disciples in the region, he didn’t find it. Instead, he found that the region was currently being guarded by one of the Dao Seed Realm friends Gong Cheng had brought along with him when he joined the sect.
The reason why someone who was clearly not specialized for combat and should have been back at the sect following his profession wasn’t that difficult to guess, as the reason behind this person’s presence at the border guarding against demonic cultivators had to do with the profession related knowledge, he had ended up adding to the sect library after Mui’s breakthrough to her still unnamed cultivation realm.
Although the entry knowledge for the different professions was free for everyone to view and learn, later knowledge still cost contribution points and would take some time for disciples and elders to save up for... And of course, Saint Realm knowledge was the most expensive of the information and had ended up pushing these normally idle elders into working hard trying to save up for the Saint Realm information that had now become available inside the sect library.
Normally, these elders would have more than enough contribution points saved up to get access to this information directly. Unfortunately for them, they had ended up following the crowd when the ascension realm tower opened its doors and ended up burning through their contribution points within the ascension realm tower.
Of course, to someone like Elder Song, this was a fantastic turn of events, as he would now be able to make full use of these elders desperate for contribution points to aid the growth of the sect.
Be it guarding duty like the one Xuan Hao spotted at the border with the Frozen wasteland or guiding the younger generation of the sect, these elders were currently in the process of being squeezed for everything they were worth by Elder Song, with the brief interaction Xuan Hao ended up having with the elder guarding the border with the demonic cultivators trying to figure out where the winged demon beast had disappeared to, leading to him finding out that a few of these elders had also ended up taking on disciples of their own following the encouragement of Elder Song.
Speaking of taking on personal disciples, to encourage the sect elders to help guide the younger generation, Elder Song had also rolled out a new contribution point scheme that rewarded teachers whenever their disciples did well in a sect tournament or competition.
All together resulting in no small number of disciples finding themselves a master amongst the elders of the sect thanks to this encouragement from Elder Song. Allowing these lucky disciples to progress faster than they would have normally without an elder present to guide them whenever they had doubts regarding their cultivation.
But although this was great and it was encouraging to learn about the progress the sect had made, Xuan Hao was disappointed to learn that the winged lion demon beast was nowhere to be found.
Even worse, using his divine sense to sweep through the territory under the Star Shattering Sect also came up empty, as the winged lion demon beast had seemingly vanished into thin air. Appearing nowhere within the borders of the Star Shattering Sect.
In simple terms meaning that it had either been kidnapped while he had been in seclusion or decided to leave for an adventurer on its own... And... With the lazy nature of the winged lion demon beast, he found himself learning more towards the first of the two...
