Chapter 2213: Start of the Meeting
Chapter 2213: Start of the Meeting
Walking along path next to the spiritual river that cut straight from the Seventh Star Peak all the way to the Ninth Star Peak, Xuan Hao found himself conversing with Elder Green Willow about the current situation of the Southern Central Region. Learning from her that the chaos that had taken place and later spread thanks to an ancient hidden sect making a move to wipe out a major power didn’t spread originally but only did so after someone began interfering from the side. Spreading rumors about the different valuable treasures that could be found within the destroyed major power’s ruins. Luring several major powers with Star Creation Realm cultivators behind them into action.
Although the ones behind the situation hadn’t been identified, it was clear whoever was behind it wanted to stir up chaos for some reason. Maybe to weaken a hostile power or maybe to be able to move around more easily and do things that would normally be difficult to accomplish in the normal peaceful state of the Southern Central Region.
No matter what the goal was, the chaos had already grown beyond control and was starting to have an effect even beyond the original major power’s borders. Starting to show signs of spreading to the rest of the Southern Central Region.
Of course, this led Xuan Hao to be a bit confused as to how she had been able to carve out time to visit the Star Shattering Sect when the situation within the Southern Central Region clearly wasn’t the best and leaving might compromise one of the Myriad Treasure Hall’s important auction houses or strongholds.
But to this, she had just smirked confidently while proclaiming the Myriad Treasure Hall wasn’t to be messed with that easily. Even without a Land Creation Realm cultivator like her around, the Myriad Treasure Hall was more than capable of holding down its assets and securing their own bases. In the process, she also hinted at the fact that the Myriad Treasure Hall wasn’t just any major power found within the Southern Central Region. Instead, it was a power that boasted more than just a single Star Creation Realm cultivator and could be considered at the very peak of hierarchy with only those nine core faiths occupying the core of the continent being above them in terms of status on the continent.
At the same time, as the conversation shifted towards the Myriad Treasure Hall, Elder Green Willow was also more than willing to share with him that they didn’t just exist on the Ewaria Continent but had also established a presence outside the continent within the endless ocean across some of the major island chains and archipelagos located along the path to the Fallen Immortal Archipelago. Even boasting that the branch within the Fallen Immortal Archipelago was no weaker than the one on the Ewaria Continent.
And while she informed him about this, she didn’t notice the somewhat odd expression on Xuan Hao’s face. After all, to him, the endless ocean was still a place people rarely ventured beyond some of the islands located close to the continent.
For the Myriad Treasure Hall to have expanded all the way to the Fallen Immortal Archipelago was a clear showcase of how strong it was, along with a clear indication that there still existed a clear link between the Ewaria Continent and the different major powers within the Southern Central Region.
Although not all of them might have expanded their influence all the way to the Fallen Immortal Archipelago, it was clear that these major powers would have expanded out from the continent to varying degrees, be it to search for unique cultivation resources that couldn’t be found on land or to just expand their influence, it was clear that when he set off from the continent in the future to visit the Fallen Immortal Archipelago, he would still run into these locals away from home.
Not that he was that worried about what he might run into when he began his journey through the Endless Ocean in the future, but he would at least have to be a bit careful to avoid accidentally implicating the sect when he went out to see in the future. After all, the last thing he wanted was for a group of Star Creation Realm cultivators to team up to attack the sect while he wasn’t around...
But all that aside, Xuan Hao reached the place where he intended to host this elder from the Myriad Treasure Hall, a small, isolated pavilion that had been constructed by some of the elders who had also directed part of the spiritual water from the river of spiritual water into a small lake. Turning it into a serene spot for them to relax when they weren’t cultivating. Having also added in a special formation around the place that would ensure no one would end up showing up disturbing them while they were relaxing.
In this case, the ones they were trying to avoid were the younger disciples whose cultivation was still too weak to leave the sect and had turned treasure hunting through the valleys and forests around Shattered Star Peaks into a favorite pastime.
Great as this treasure hunting experience was for the younger disciples, it wasn’t exactly great for the elders who set off wanting a place to relax after cultivating while chatting with a few friends away from the Seventh Star Peak, thus resulting in quite a few such retreats emerging throughout the Shattered Star Peaks. Serving as personal retreats for the elders of the sect.
Of course, given how he was going to host someone from the Myriad Treasure Hall, he had made sure no elder would end up accidentally stumbling in while he was in the middle of a conversation. Using the chaotic qi formation to isolate the place completely from the rest of the sect.
Another reason for this was also the fact that he had no intention of allowing this elder from the Myriad Treasure Hall anywhere near the Seventh Star Peak as there was simply far too much that could go wrong if he dragged her to that place. Instead, placing the meeting somewhere between the Ninth- and Seventh Star Peak was in his opinion the better choice, as it wouldn’t seem that odd given the fact that the place was truly suburb for a meeting.
Luckily, Elder Green Willow herself didn’t seem to find anything odd about the meeting location either and soon enough sat down before him. Feeling far more nervous about establishing a friendly relationship with the Star Shattering Sect than trying to figure out more about this newly emerged ancient hidden sect.
After all, while part of her goal in coming was to try and uncover the potential past identity of the Star Shattering Sect before it had sealed itself away, it wasn’t her main goal, her main goal was to establish a trade relationship with the Star Shattering Sect- and with the strength she had seen from the Star Shattering Sect so far, this goal far surpassed finding out the potential past identity of the Star Shattering Sect in her eyes.
Not to mention, she had already managed to gather quite a bit of information so far. Not just from Xuan Hao himself, but also from the disciples and elders that had walked past them along the way chatting with each other without a care in the world when it came to who listened to them.
Although she might not be able to make much of most of the things she had encountered, the Myriad Treasure Hall had specialized record keepers who would be able to go through everything and take on the work of trying to pinpoint the Star Shattering Sect’s identity before it had gone into hiding during the ancient era.
Because of this, she didn’t hesitate for a second after the two of them sat down before starting to list out the different things the Myriad Treasure Hall wanted to trade with the Star Shattering Sect. Listing out different ancient spiritual herbs that had gone extinct across the continent of today alongside other precious materials and cultivation resources that were easy to find in the ancient era but hard if not impossible to find in the current day and age.
This was of course not the main thing the Myriad Treasure Hall wanted, as that was the dao run blueprints the Star Shattering Sect possessed, but it was still something to break the ice and start a conversation. Allowing her to get a grasp of what the Star Shattering Sect might need at the moment- and if it was something valuable that the Myriad Treasure Hall had, it would be easier to bring up the matter of dao rune blueprints.
And of course, true to her identity as an elder of the Myriad Treasure Hall sent out for negotiations, she showcased her skill in the matter immediately, causing Xuan Hao to feel a bit overwhelmed faced with the long list of precious cultivation resources the Myriad Treasure Hall wanted along with the equally numerous cultivation resources they offered in return.
