Chapter 2230: Meeting Between Monks
Chapter 2230: Meeting Between Monks
Having left behind the mystic realm entrance before those monks had the chance to cause any trouble for him, Xuan Hao didn’t linger around the Western Region for long and directly returned to the place where he had first ended up after exiting the damaged spatial passage. Tracing the tracks left behind in the void before finding the spatial passage before using it to move back along it back towards the borders of his sect. Aware that this path was far safer than carving his own way back through the void while at the same time also being far faster, as he wasn’t carving out his own path, but was relying on a spatial passage that had already been established and stabilized by someone else.
In the end, it hardly took him long to make his way back to the sect. After which, he made sure to properly collapse the spatial passage behind him to ensure no one would be able to follow him. After all, he had no idea if those monks intended on continuing to chase after him following his escape nor did he know what kind of methods they might possess that could be used for chasing someone proficient in the Dao of Space.
Luckily, he worried for nothing, as the monks had no intention of chasing after him upon seeing how easily he managed to slip away using the Dao of Space. Instead, after splitting up, the monk still left outside the mystic realm quickly began gathering information to try and figure out his identity.
Soon enough, realizing that the situation might not be as bad as he had originally expected, as it seemed like Xuan Hao hadn’t come for the mystic realm. Instead, he had come to retrieve a pet of his that had been chased down by two now dead Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators.
And with the little time he had spent within the mystic realm, there was a good chance he hadn’t managed to find anything of value inside and had left after grabbing the pet he had entered the mystic realm for.
On the contrary, those two dead Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators were far more troublesome- or more specifically the one who had come from the Southern Central Region, as he didn’t just belong to a major power from the Southern Central Region, but also one of the stronger ones that had already dispatched a Star Creation Realm cultivator to investigate the mystic realm.
Good news was that there was a very good chance that the other party wouldn’t show up in time before the mystic realm’s connection to the Ewaria Continent was cut off, while the bad news was that the Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator who had sent out the request for help had already perished, something that would undoubtedly spell trouble for him and the Western Region as a whole. Aware that this might lead to another clash between the Southern Central Region and the Western Central Region.
"But... The identity of that Star Creation Realm cultivator is still a mystery..." But even knowing about the trouble that would soon descend upon the region, the monk couldn’t help feeling a bit troubled over how he still hadn’t managed to figure out anything about Xuan Hao.
After all, a figure at the Star Creation Realm shouldn’t be someone unknown. Even if it was a wandering cultivator who didn’t have anything to fear from a major power located in the Southern Central Region, he should at least have heard of the other party given just how terrifying their comprehension of the Dao of Space was.
"Unless... It was someone from an ancient hidden sect or an outside force... But people from outside the continent at that level of strength are rare given how the nine core faiths generally don’t allow foreigners at the Star Creation Realm to enter the boundaries of the continent. So... Someone from an ancient hidden sect?" Running through his own thoughts on Xuan Hao’s identity, he soon enough landed on him being someone from an ancient hidden sect.
Not only did this make it more understandable why such a powerful figure remained unknown, but the clear disregard of the other party towards a major power from the Southern Central Region also made sense.
Not to mention, from what he heard, it was those two Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators who had apparently ended up chasing down the pet of this senior figure. Angering the other party to the point where he had stepped out of his sect to bring his pet back and end them in the process, something that wasn’t easy to accomplish given how isolated most ancient hidden sects were. Especially when it came to the stronger beings hidden away within those ancient hidden sects.
In a way, for those two Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators to have made a senior figure of an ancient hidden sect step outside could be considered an accomplishment in its own unique way. Even if the two people involved didn’t set out with the goal of accomplishing something like that.
"At the very least, with that person most likely being someone from an ancient hidden sect, there won’t be much for us to worry about. Even if that senior figure found out what was hidden inside that mystic realm, he would most likely look the other way." Muttering this as he shook his head with a clear look of relief present in his eyes, the monk slowly took out a communication talisman before informing the senior monk who had just rushed back about the situation before beginning preparations for potentially confronting that Star Creation Realm cultivator rushing over from the Southern Central Region...
"Hm? Someone from an ancient hidden sect?" And at the same time, having just crashed a meeting between several other senior monks belonging to the different temples across the Western Central Region to inform them about the current situation that was playing out, the older senior monk froze mid-sentence as he went through the information that had just been sent to him, a look of clear relief appearing on his face upon reading the conclusion of his companion.
"Su Han? What is it?" Unaware of what was happening to their old friend, the group of older monks who had just been interrupted couldn’t stop themselves from looking confused towards the senior monk, Su Han, who had just interrupted their meeting.
Even more so considering how he had just mentioned something about an ancient hidden sect.
"Ehm, excuse me, I just got some information about the situation that made me rush in here so abruptly. The situation in question is about that mystic realm that recently reconnected to the continent again and is back in the exposed state over the next few years." Nodding his head in understanding upon hearing the confusion from his fellow monks, he quickly explained the situation to them...
"Huh!? What happened? We can’t allow anyone from the south to find out about that thing, or we won’t just lose the initiative but will likely make those nine core faiths attack with the intent to erase us completely!"
"Yes! We can’t allow anything to go wrong when we are so close to succeeding!"
"Yeah, what about the ancient hidden sect you mentioned? What in the world happened?"
Though this only ended up making them even more panicked, as they began pressing him for more information.
"It’s like this..." Knowing that it would be best to explain things before these friends of his began causing a scene that would undoubtedly draw the attention of those powerful figures from the Southern Central Region, Su Han didn’t spare any details as he explained everything that had happened.
Not forgetting to also mention how the one that had entered the mystic realm at the Star Creation Realm should be someone from an ancient hidden sect. Not someone belonging to one of the major powers from the Southern Central Region.
"This... To think something like that happened this time around..."
"Indeed, the Star Creation Realm cultivator rushing over from the Southern Central Region shouldn’t be too difficult to deal with, just claim the mystic realm is under our control and send him away.
As for the death of those two Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator... Don’t bother hiding anything and just tell him what happened. The fact that it was done by a senior from an ancient hidden sect should be more than enough to send that fellow scurrying back home after what happened lately."
"True, but we should still try and investigate the identity of that Star Creation Realm cultivator properly."
And with the information, the group calmed down significantly compared to before, though they still planned to try and investigate the identity of this Star Creation Realm cultivator and figure out which ancient hidden sect he had come from.
In a way, this was also to make sure that this truly was someone from an ancient hidden sect and not just some foreign wandering cultivator who had managed to somehow sneak into the Ewaria Continent without being noticed by the nine core faiths.
