Chapter 1328 - 593: Zhao Mansion (2)
He said and was about to turn around and leave.
"No need."
However, Zhao Tianze suddenly called out to him.
"Father, what’s wrong?"
Zhao Tianzang stopped in confusion and asked seriously.
"Come up here."
Zhao Yunze lowered his voice and waved him over.
"Father, why are you acting so secretively?"
Curious, Zhao Tianzang came up and couldn’t help but ask.
"This matter needs to be kept secret."
"Father has already arranged for Thunder Mountain to handle it."
Zhao Yunze lowered his voice and continued, "Tonight, bring your eldest brother and sister to the mansion’s back courtyard. Father will explain in detail to you."
"Remember, do not let anyone know."
"Alright!"
"I’ll go notify them right away."
Zhao Tianzang understood that there must be something inconvenient to say openly.
After agreeing, he began to retreat.
"Go on, remember, don’t leak any information!"
After he left, Zhao Yunze further reminded him.
"Yes, I understand, Father."
Zhao Tianzang nodded forcefully and then turned to leave directly.
As he left the room, he happened to see Thunder Mountain leading Ning Qi away.
A few people behind Thunder Mountain then began to disperse.
"Brother Lei, you let them handle it here, should get the job done, right?"
Ning Qi glanced back at the others who just departed and couldn’t help but ask.
"No problem, they are our Deadpools, there’s nothing they can’t accomplish."
"Moreover, it’s just acting, it’s not difficult at all."
Thunder Mountain nodded, then continued onward with Ning Qi.
Soon, they reached an estate.
Above the main gate hung a plaque with two characters.
"Zhao Mansion."
Ning Qi looked at the two characters and read them out loud.
"Yes, we’ll settle in here first."
"In the evening, let’s see the Family Head’s arrangements."
Thunder Mountain nodded and then directly led Ning Qi towards the front gate.
"Commander Lei!"
"..."
A few guards at the gate saw him coming and respectfully greeted him.
"Let’s go."
Thunder Mountain signaled to a few people and then proceeded to urge Ning Qi to follow him inside.
Ning Qi nodded and then followed him directly into the mansion.
Upon entering, he saw many wonderful Immortal Grass and some Spiritual Qi flowing within the courtyard.
It didn’t seem like a place within the Demon Race area at all.
"The higher the strength, the better control over one’s Magic Power."
"Here, there won’t be much influence from Demonic Qi, and the courtyard is also fortified with an array."
"There’s some Spiritual Qi here, so it looks similar to the outside world."
Thunder Mountain saw his curious appearance and couldn’t help but smile and say, "The back courtyard here has guest rooms for entertaining distinguished guests."
"I’ll bring you down here, we regularly tidy up this place."
"Oh, I’d like to take a look then."
Ning Qi nodded and continued to walk forward with him.
"This is the courtyard of our young master and miss."
"Although it’s one big courtyard, each has their own independent courtyard."
"But they’re usually not here, often cultivating in their cave residences."
Thunder Mountain introduced the place as he led Ning Qi, "This is the courtyard of our miss, Zhao Zhirou."
"Though she still frequently stays here."
"Hmm, this courtyard is indeed nice."
"Many dream of the life contained in this courtyard."
Ning Qi spoke with deep emotion.
He felt the same way.
However, to become stronger, he has no choice but to wander the world.
When he becomes powerful, he can return to protect those he wishes to protect.
"Indeed, many people yearn for this life."
"But our Family Head also has troubles."
Thunder Mountain nodded, then sighed deeply, "Brother Ning, let’s move on, the backyard is just up ahead."
"Alright!"
Ning Qi responded and then followed directly ahead.
The two soon arrived at the entrance to the backyard.
Upon walking in, they first saw a large flower garden.
In the center, there was a man-made lake with ducks and some lotus flowers on it.
Seeing this makes one yearn for such a life even more.
Moving further on, there was a patch of Immortal Grassland along with some rockeries and vines.
A few servants were carefully trimming them, all of them appeared very diligent.
"This way."
Thunder Mountain continued to lead Ning Qi.
Passing through a long corridor, they came to an archway.
The two walked through together and arrived at the true backyard.
There were many guest rooms here, and a bamboo forest spread across the yard.
The sound of wind blowing through could be heard, making one feel relaxed and happy.
"Brother Ning, this way."
Thunder Mountain led him through the guest rooms, heading towards the front to continue walking.
"Oh, isn’t it here?"
Ning Qi asked a bit curiously.
"Yes, you are our honored guest, how can we let you stay in a guest room?"
Thunder Mountain shook his head and then pointed to the pavilion ahead, "This is where honored guests reside."
"Oh? A pavilion."
Ning Qi raised his head and looked towards the pavilion.
That’s when he realized he would be staying in the pavilion.
"Yes, come on."
Thunder Mountain nodded and then led Ning Qi to the pavilion’s entrance.
There were two maidservants cleaning something at the entrance.
"Commander Lei."
"..."
The two saw Thunder Mountain coming and respectfully greeted him.
"Is everything tidied up?"
Thunder Mountain nodded and then asked in a deep voice.
"Commander Lei, we clean the pavilion once a day, so it’s ready for guests anytime."
One maidservant responded respectfully.
"Alright, seek out a room in the Sumeru Courtyard’s highest level."
"This is a distinguished guest of our mansion, make sure not to neglect them!"
Thunder Mountain smiled with satisfaction and then said seriously.
"Yes, please come with me."
The maidservant looked at Ning Qi and respectfully extended the invitation.
"Please."
Ning Qi didn’t hesitate, and after agreeing, followed and departed directly.
They went into the pavilion.
Inside, upon entry, there was a spacious front hall.
Along with two rows of high-backed chairs with a position in the middle, clearly the place for the head of the household.
They did not linger but went directly to the second floor.
"Master Ning, this room."
The maidservant led him to a room door and then proactively opened it.
"Alright."
Ning Qi nodded and then followed inside.
The maidservant took out a jade pendant, and upon entering, led them to the entrance of a Sumeru Space.
She gently waved it at the entrance, and the jade pendant flashed a glow.
The entrance to the Sumeru Space slowly opened, revealing a small courtyard before them.
The courtyard door was open, revealing an environment of birdsong and fragrant flowers, with rockeries and an artificial small lake.
It didn’t appear large but was complete with all necessary features.
"Master Ning, are you satisfied with this courtyard? If not, we have other courtyards available."
After walking in, the maidservant seriously asked Ning Qi.
"It’s quite nice, I’ll take this one."
Ning Qi wasn’t picky about where to rest; having a place to sleep was already good enough.
"Brother Ning, this will be your place then."
"I’ll go arrange some other matters, and when the time comes, I’ll have someone call you, okay?"
Thunder Mountain looked at Ning Qi and spoke seriously.
"Alright, Brother Lei, go ahead, you can send a message directly when the time comes."
Ning Qi nodded, without saying much more.
"Good."
After agreeing, Thunder Mountain spoke to the maidservant: "Take good care of the guest, don’t neglect."
"Yes, Commander Lei!"
The maidservant promptly replied.
"Brother Ning, I’ll be off now! See you later!"
Thunder Mountain cupped his fists toward Ning Qi, then directly left.
"Master Ning, everything here has been cleaned, you can rest assured."
After seeing him off, the maidservant turned and spoke to Ning Qi seriously.
"Thank you."
Ning Qi nodded, then focused his attention on one of the copper mirrors in the courtyard.
There were four copper mirrors, each about a foot tall.
This aroused his curiosity.
"Master Ning, these allow you to observe the scenery of the garden."
The maidservant noticed his curiosity and came over to explain, "Each mirror corresponds to a scenic view."
