Chapter 2268 The Real Giant's Continent
Chapter 2268 The Real Giant's Continent
"Attention, esteemed passengers. We will be arriving at our destination, the Desolate Continent, now known as the Giant's Continent, shortly. Please prepare to deboard!" The captain's voice resounded through the speakers.
'Looks like we didn't get attacked by sea beasts this time…' Tian Yang thought as he calmly gazed toward the horizon, where a vast stretch of land slowly came into view, growing clearer and larger with every passing moment.
Half an hour later, the captain's voice returned.
"We've arrived at our destination. Thank you all for boarding with the Purple Lion today! If you wish to return home, there will be another ship arriving in two weeks."
After disembarking the ship, Tian Yang and Ren Xia immediately began wandering the continent to see if anything had changed.
"Wow, they really remodeled this entire place, didn't they?" Ren Xia remarked after scattering her divine sense and seeing the changes.
When they had last visited during the exploration of Han Zexian's Tomb, the only paths on this continent were the ones carved naturally over countless years of wear.
But now, proper roads stretched before them—broad, structured, and astonishingly massive in width, almost as if they were made for large beasts rather than humans.
The cities had changed just as dramatically as the roads, completely transformed and expanded severalfold. Even the smallest buildings now stood tall and imposing, while the largest structures soared so high they seemed to pierce the clouds.
And it wasn't only the roads and buildings that had changed. The entire continent itself had grown to an immense scale, so vast that humans wandering upon it were reduced to the size of ants in comparison.
As for the dwellers on this continent, everyone from the Giant's Race was at least three times larger than an adult human. Setting aside their brief encounter with Kulas in the Immortal Confinement Dungeon, this was Tian Yang and Ren Xia's first true sighting of the Giant Race, despite the race having existed for over a century.
The giants never stepped beyond the borders of their continent, so seeing one was only possible here.
"Just how did they grow so massive? Did Kulas teach everyone the Great Mammoth Body Refinement technique?" Ren Xia wondered out loud after seeing the giants.
Tian Yang replied, "The Great Mammoth Body Refinement technique isn't something anyone can learn. Even if Kulas passed the technique to everyone in the Giant's Race, only a few of them would be able to achieve such a level of mastery, not to mention the extreme cultivation method it demanded."
"Then how do you explain the Giant's Race? Don't tell me they're all Kulas' children?"
"We'll find out if we ask him."
The two entered the nearest city to ask for directions.
"Hey, do you know where I can meet the Great Mammoth?" Tian Yang approached a passing giant and asked.
"Great Mammoth? You mean His Majesty, Giant Emperor Kulas?" The giant replied.
"What?" Tian Yang's eyes widened at Kulas' name being spoken.
Since when did Kulas stop hiding his identity?
Seeing Tian Yang's puzzled face, the giant explained, "Great Mammoth was the Giant Emperor's warrior name. He now goes by his true name."
'Did he stop hiding because he's aware of the Immortal Clans' downfall?' Ren Xia spoke to Tian Yang using voice transmission. 'Or he's now powerful enough that the Immortal Clans no longer scare him,' he said.
"Anyway, why are you looking for the Giant Emperor? He's not someone you can meet just because you want to." The giant suddenly asked.
"We're his acquaintances," said Tian Yang.
Although he could've claimed to be friends with Kulas, nobody would believe him, so he went for the most believable choice.
The giant narrowed his eyes and gave them a suspicious look.
"What's your name?" he then asked.
Tian Yang didn't hesitate to give his real name.
"Tian Yang."
The giant's eyes widened with surprise.
"Y-You're Tian Yang?! Really?!" he exclaimed.
Tian Yang raised his eyebrows and asked, "You know me?"
"Of course!" he nodded. "There is nobody among the Giant's Race who doesn't know your name since Giant Emperor Kulas told us to be on the lookout for you!"
"So he's expecting me?" Tian Yang muttered.
"Sure is! The Giant Emperor said to send you his way the moment we see you."
The giant wasted no time pointing in a specific direction and said, "You can find the Giant Emperor at the Colossal Mammoth City. When you meet him, please tell him that it was I, Karan, who sent you his way!" "Alright…" Tian Yang nodded, looking somewhat speechless.
"By the way, are you Kulas' children?" Ren Xia suddenly asked.
"Huh? Who are you?"
She pointed at Tian Yang and said, "His wife."
"Ah, then you must be Ren Xia."
"You also know me?" It was Ren Xia's turn to be surprised.
"Yes." Karan nodded before continuing, "And to answer your question, every giant is the Giant Emperor's children in a way, since we have all received his family's blood. However, only those who possess the Mammoth Bloodline are considered his true descendants."
"So he didn't teach you the Great Mammoth Body Refinement technique?" Ren Xia continued to ask.
"What? There's no way that would happen!" Karan responded with a surprised expression. "Only his true descendants would have such a privilege! However, we've all been blessed with a body refinement technique by the Giant Emperor. Why are you asking these questions?"
"Just curious."
"Well, if you want to know more, please meet the Giant Emperor. He's been waiting for your arrival for many years now. Now, if you'll excuse me."
Karan gave them a polite bow before resuming his day.
Tian Yang and Ren Xia didn't linger in the city and left shortly after.
"So they never learned the Great Mammoth Body Refinement technique from Kulas, but they did receive his blood. Does this mean his blood is the secret behind the Giant's Race? This is getting more and more interesting." Ren Xia wondered out loud as they made their way to the Colossal Mammoth City.
