Chapter 2427 One of Three Supreme Rulers

Chapter 2427 One of Three Supreme Rulers

"Hey, bastard! Get your rabid mutt off me! I thought you were only killing Forsaken! I'm clearly not one!" Supreme Ruler Grant shouted as he clashed against the relentless tide of demons summoned by the Demon Annihilation Sword.

"Did I ever say that?" Yuan replied, tilting his head with a puzzled expression. "I may not kill ordinary demons without reason… but that doesn't mean I won't. If they've done something worthy of death, then I won't hesitate to kill them."

He narrowed his gaze and continued, "And you, who intends on invading my world, deserves death."

"But I am not the only one with such ambitions! In fact, it was the other two Supreme Rulers who proposed this idea in the first place!" Supreme Ruler Grant shouted, revealing a startling piece of information.

"The other two Supreme Rulers?" Yuan raised an eyebrow after hearing this.

He suddenly remembered that Supreme Ruler Grant was only one of three existing Supreme Rulers in this world, each ruling a part of the Demonic Realm.

The Demonic Realm was unfathomably massive, even larger than the entirety of the Nine Heavens combined, and currently, they were in the Crimson Continent, one of three major regions.

Even in the past, Tian Chenyu had never visited the other two regions, as it was simply too far away. Each region was so massive that they were essentially considered their own world, and unless war broke out, the three regions never interacted with one another. Even the Supreme Rulers rarely spoke with each other.

"Who are the current Supreme Rulers for the Bone Atoll and the Death Paradise?" Supreme Ruler Dena suddenly asked.

"The Supreme Rulers for those two regions haven't changed since you were last in power!" said Supreme Ruler Grant.

"So it's still Supreme Ruler Exosso and Supreme Ruler Umbra, huh?"

Yuan then remarked, "You've mentioned those names to me before, but you never went into detail about them."

"Supreme Ruler Exosso is the ruler of the Bone Atoll, a region that is ninety-nine percent water, and their people live on scattered islands there. Supreme Ruler Umbra is the ruler of Death Paradise, a world shrouded in darkness."

"The demons from these places are fundamentally different from the demons in the Crimson Continent because of their environment, even wielding different powers. While we specialize in Blood Arts, those from the Bone Atoll use Bone Techniques. As for those at Death Paradise… honestly, even I am not sure about their powers."

"Now that I think about it, I've met a few unusual demons who fought with their bones instead of blood, but they were incredibly rare compared to those from the Crimson Continent. Out of the millions of demons I've encountered, I've probably only seen a dozen like that. As for demons from Death Paradise, I don't think I've ever seen any of that type," Yuan wondered out loud.

"Why were there so few of them compared to demons from the Crimson Continent?" Yuan then asked.

"For the most part, it's because the Crimson Continent has the largest population by far, while Death Paradise has the smallest. Another reason was because the gateway to your world was located in the Crimson Continent, so they'd have to traverse a tremendous distance."

Yuan turned to look at Supreme Ruler Grant, who was still clashing with the army of demons and the Demon Annihilation Sword, and asked, "Hey, instead of invading my world, why don't you just go to the other regions?"

"If that was a choice, we would've already done it long ago!" Supreme Ruler Grant exclaimed.

"The Bone Atoll barely has any land, and Death Paradise is only habitable by its residents because of their unique constitution!" A surprised look crossed Yuan's face at the response.

"What kind of place is Death Paradise," he asked, "that even demons—creatures who survive the harshest environments—cannot endure?"

"There is something there that messes with our blood—wait a second!" Supreme Ruler Grant suddenly interrupted himself. "I will tell you everything you want to know, but you have to stop this beast first!"

With the help of her army of demons, the Demon Annihilation Sword managed to land two more attacks on Supreme Ruler Grant, each one successfully severing a limb. Now, Supreme Ruler Grant had one… and a half limbs left.

"I'll only tell her to stop if you swear that you will give up on invading my world," Yuan said. "Otherwise, you can die here."

Supreme Ruler Grant gnashed his teeth in frustration. As much as he hated to admit defeat, he realized there was no path to victory for him. He could barely contend with the Demon Annihilation Sword alone, let alone Supreme Ruler Dena and Yuan. If the three of them ganged up on him, he would surely perish—even with the Demon God's power.

"Fine! I swear on my title as Supreme Ruler that I will give up on invading the human world!" Supreme Ruler Grant shouted in a defeated voice.

"Demon Annihilation Sword, you can stop now. He's no longer a target," Yuan said to her.

However, the Demon Annihilation Sword did not instantly halt her attacks and only slowed down slightly.

"Why?! I want to devour him!" she complained.

Yuan rubbed his eyes and sighed, "You know what's even more worthless than something without purpose in my eyes? A sword that doesn't listen to its master."

Hearing his words, the Demon Annihilation Sword immediately halted her attacks and stiffened, remaining as still as a statue.

"I'm sure there'll be plenty of demons for you to devour later. For now, just be patient," Yuan said a moment later.

The Demon Annihilation Sword nodded and slowly returned to his side.

Seeing this, Supreme Ruler Grant released a deep sigh of relief.

"What do you want to know?" Supreme Ruler Grant asked him shortly later.

"Continue what you were just saying," Yuan said.

He nodded.

"The air in Death Paradise is corrupted—poisonous to any demon lacking the unique constitution possessed by its original inhabitants."
