Chapter 2526: An Undefeatable Monster
Chapter 2526: An Undefeatable Monster
Shortly after the Holy Empress made her move, others began finding the courage to join the fight. However, what truly spurred them into action were Zhou Yanfei’s words.
If they failed to bring down this monster, there would be no future for them—or the Nine Heavens. Even if every last one of them had to die there, they had no choice but to fight.
Fueled by this realization, the hundreds of thousands of people present launched their attacks at the woman, with more joining in every passing moment.
Unfortunately for them, their attacks had no effect on the woman. She was an Absolute God, while not a single Cultivation God was present among them.
“Hahaha! How hilarious! Your futile efforts, I mean!” the woman laughed madly as she calmly allowed their attacks to strike her body, only for her to emerge completely unscathed.
The entire banquet venue was quickly destroyed, reduced to countless tiny fragments that drifted deeper into the void.
At first, the woman did not seem interested in attacking and merely allowed their strikes to land on her. However, that did not last long. Before anyone could react, she began slaughtering them one after another, turning them into bloody mist.
“I don’t want to kill too many of you since I prefer my meals fresh and alive,” the woman remarked with a sinister grin on her face, sending chills down the spines of everyone who saw her expression.
“It’s hopeless! Without the Divine Paragon, we have no chance of stopping this monster!”
After personally facing an Absolute God, they finally understood just how overwhelming—and utterly unbeatable—such an existence truly was.
“Is this all you’ve got?! Struggle a little harder! Entertain me more!” the woman laughed as her aura began surging with even greater intensity.
“She’s still holding back?! Just how powerful is she?!”
“It’s over… It’s all over…”
One by one, the people began lowering their weapons.
The determination in their eyes faded, replaced by despair and helplessness. Many even lowered their heads, no longer able to muster the will to continue fighting.
After just a few short exchanges, they realized the truth—that the being standing before them was simply too powerful… too overwhelming… and too far beyond their understanding.
To them, she was an existence that could not be defeated or defied.
And so, one after another, they abandoned any thoughts of victory and resigned themselves to their fate.
“Do not give up!” Yan Hara shouted, blood staining her robes as she struggled to remain conscious.
“The Divine Paragon did not sacrifice himself so that we could surrender!”
Her voice rang across the battlefield, reigniting the fading spirits of many cultivators, especially the Demon Sealers.
“We will fight until our very last breath!” she declared.
The woman looked at her for a moment before slowly shaking her head.
“You still don’t want to give up?”
A sigh escaped her lips, as though she were disappointed by their stubbornness.
“I suppose I should stop playing around and show you the reality of defying me.”
The next moment, she brought her hands together in front of her chest. The movement was slow and almost graceful, yet it caused countless people to tense instinctively.
Then, she began pulling her hands apart.
As her palms separated, a tiny speck of black energy materialized between them.
At first, it was no larger than a grain of sand, but it rapidly grew larger as she continued spreading her arms.
The black energy seemed to devour everything around it, including the very void itself, as if it were a miniature black hole.
“Heavens…”
Yan Hara and many others muttered in a dazed voice as they stared at the woman, their pupils dilating.
Even though the woman was clearly not finished with the technique, they could tell that even in its unfinished state, it could easily wipe out everyone present in the blink of an eye.
“Is this truly the end for us all?” Yan Hara mumbled to herself.
Just as the black energy reached the size of a watermelon, the woman abruptly halted and frowned, quickly turning to look in the direction of the Demonic Realm.
Then, without warning, she tossed the black energy. However, to everyone’s astonishment, she did not target them and instead threw it toward the Demonic Realm.
The black sphere shot through the Starry Sky, streaking across the void with unfathomable power and consuming everything in its path, drastically growing larger and larger in size as it traveled.
Everyone watched in stunned silence as the sphere rapidly approached the entrance to the Demonic Realm.
Just as the energy was about to consume the entrance to the Demonic Realm, a slender figure suddenly appeared before it like a ghost and calmly extended a hand toward the incoming sphere before making a simple grasping motion.
The massive sphere, capable of erasing everything in its path, instantly compressed, quickly shrinking in size until it became as small as a pebble.
At that moment, the mysterious figure reached out and seized the pebble-sized sphere in their hand. Although the sphere had shrunk, the energy and raw power contained within it remained unchanged. Yet the figure grasped it barehanded, treating it as though it were nothing.
“Selena!” the woman roared angrily, a hint of fear flashing in her eyes.
The mysterious figure, Selena, suddenly vanished from where she stood and appeared before the woman like a ghost, instantly seizing her by the neck.
Then, she spoke in a low yet enraged voice. “Tian Chenyu’s life tablet shattered… Did you kill him, Hela?”
“N-No!” Hela immediately denied. “I didn’t kill him! It was Annabella, and she’s already perished!”
“…”
Selena did not respond.
Instead, she turned to look at Yan Hara and the others, seemingly trying to grasp the situation.
After a moment of silence, she spoke again. “We promised Tian Chenyu not to harm the humans of this world, yet here you are… doing exactly that.”
“Bullshit! Annabella and I never agreed to such a thing! That was something you decided on your own!” Hela shouted.
“And as the Absolute Ruler of the Demonic Realm, my words are law. Since you defied them, I have no choice but to get rid of you.”
