Chapter 2528: He's Still Alive
Chapter 2528: He’s Still Alive
After Yan Hara’s introduction, Selena suddenly vanished into the void before reappearing in front of her with a calm smile on her face.
“You don’t have to be wary or try to hide the Demon Sealing Clan from me since I’ve already heard about it from Tian Chenyu.”
“Sorry, but I am a little overwhelmed right now, and I don’t think I will be able to have a proper conversation with you…” Yan Hara responded after a moment of silence.
Selena nodded and said, “Understandable, especially since you’ve just lost someone close to you. Take all the time you need.”
However, at the same time, Selena spoke to Yan Hara via voice transmission, “He’s still alive.”
“Huh?” Yan Hara’s face immediately twisted in surprise, her eyes slowly widening with disbelief.
“I said that he’s alive. Tian Chenyu, that is,” Selena repeated, not worried that anyone there could intercept her voice transmission due to her vastly superior cultivation.
“Now, repeat after me…”
Yan Hara then spoke, following Selena’s instructions, “I-If you don’t mind, would you like to stay at our headquarters in the meantime?”
Selena quickly nodded.
“Of course.”
“T-Then…” Yan Hara turned to look at the others and declared, “As much as I wish to say more, I am simply at a loss for words. Therefore, I ask everyone to return home and tend to your injuries. Once I have composed myself and spoken with Senior Selena, I will give a proper response regarding everything that happened today.”
After saying that, Yan Hara turned around and began to leave, with the Demon Sealers quickly following behind her.
However, the General of Heaven’s Mandate suddenly shouted, “Wait! You can’t leave until we are finished here!”
Yan Hara halted at his words.
Without turning around, she responded, “If you—or the Celestial Emperor—have any questions regarding today’s events, you may come to the Demon Sealing Clan’s Grand Library at a later date. As I said earlier, I need some time.”
Then, she continued on her way, quickly disappearing from their view.
The General trembled with anger after being ignored by Yan Hara—and in front of so many people, no less. However, there was nothing he could do. Just a single glance from Selena had shattered his courage, leaving him unable to utter another word.
Once Yan Hara—or more precisely, Selena’s presence—could no longer be sensed, the General turned to face the others and roared, “Nobody else leaves until we finish our investigation! This is an order issued under my authority as the General of Heaven’s Mandate’s Third Squad! If anyone dares to disobey, I will have your head!”
Soon, Heaven’s Mandate resumed questioning everyone present, refusing to let anyone leave until they had a clear understanding of the entire situation.
“What? The Divine Paragon is dead?” The General was shocked to learn this.
Once he had gathered enough information to understand the situation—or rather, its gravity—he immediately requested backup, as well as notifying the Celestial Emperor of everything.
“To think the Divine Paragon would perish so quickly after his return… It’s almost comical.” The Celestial Emperor shook his head after learning of Tian Chenyu’s death.
“Absolute Ruler of the Demonic Realm, huh? If I had someone like that on my side, it would make getting rid of that bastard a lot easier…”
Some time later, the Celestial Emperor summoned Heaven’s Mandate First Squad and commanded them to visit the Demon Sealing Clan and invite the Absolute Ruler for a conversation with him.
At the same time, news of the Divine Paragon’s death, along with the information he had shared with everyone at the banquet, spread like wildfire, sending massive tremors throughout the Nine Heavens and shocking everyone to the core.
“Huh? The Divine Paragon is dead? There’s no way!”
“It’s real! I heard that he’d sacrificed his own life to kill a demon with a cultivation above Cultivation God!”
“Did you hear? The Divine Paragon used Soul Rupture, sacrificing his life and chance of reincarnation just to protect our world!”
“There are two kinds of demons, and they all used to be human? What the heck am I supposed to do with this information?!”
The Divine Paragon immediately became the hottest topic, mentioned in nearly every corner of the world. Because of his sacrifice, he became a hero again, becoming a legend whose fame somehow surpassed even his former glory as the savior of humanity.
Meanwhile, at the Demon Sealing Clan’s Grand Library, a surprise awaited the Demon Sealers who had just arrived at the location.
“D-Divine Paragon?!”
The Demon Sealers were shocked to their core when they saw the Divine Paragon standing before the closed entrance to the library, each of them looking as though they had just seen a ghost.
“How are you still alive after using Soul Rupture?!”
“Huh? What are you talking about? Soul Rupture? Why would I use such a dangerous technique?” Yuan remarked with a confused expression on his face.
“Yuan…?” Yan Hara mumbled in a dazed voice after seeing his handsome face.
“What? Yuan?”
The Demon Sealers stared at Yuan in shock and bewilderment.
“That’s right. I’m Yuan. That Divine Paragon joke is getting old, you know?”
“By Yuan… do you mean the Little Founder?! Fuck! You nearly gave us a heart attack!”
“Little Founder? Who the heck is that? If he’s not the Divine Paragon, then why does he look so similar? No, I’d even say he looks identical to the Divine Paragon!” someone who used to belong to the Demon Sealing Grotto exclaimed.
“He’s a talented Demon Sealer who joined the Demon Sealing Clan not long ago. He became famous for his striking resemblance to the Divine Paragon, which earned him the nickname ‘Little Founder’…” explained someone familiar with his story.
“That being said… he was much younger the last time I saw him. Now that he has grown up, I truly cannot discern any difference between him and the Divine Paragon!”
“You can’t be serious… How can someone like that even exist? Are the Heavens mocking us…?”
“How can we be sure that he’s not the Divine Paragon messing with us?”
“Didn’t you all witness it yourself? The Divine Paragon used Soul Rupture… There’s no way he could’ve survived that…”
“…”
Everyone fell silent shortly after, quietly staring at Yuan as though struggling to believe that he was not the Divine Paragon.
