“Enough of your farce. Follow me. I am going to check your identity again,” Officer Mei said to Yuan before bringing him back to the previous room to collect his blood with the machine again.

“Stop messing with me already!” she shouted in anger.

Yuan frowned. “I really am not. I have no idea what this Perfected Heavenly Refinement is.”

“It is your physique!”

“Uh… Even if you ask me that, how am I supposed to explain it? And even if I could explain it, what would be the point when you do not possess the physique?”

“What nonsense are you spewing? Of course, I have the same physique,” Officer Mei responded with a frown on her face.

“What?” Yuan wore a dumbfounded look after hearing her expected words.

“You… also have the Heaven Refining Physique? I thought only one person could possess it at any given moment?”

With no other choice, Yuan left the room. By the time he stepped outside the station, the once-crowded streets had become completely empty, and the underground city suddenly looked like a ghost town.

The next moment, a neon-green line appeared on the ground before him, presumably guiding him toward his destination.

When he looked closely, it even showed him the distance and time required to reach it.

After reaching the end of the street and arriving at an intersection, a bright red ‘Stop’ notification appeared before him.

The boy’s mother quickly pressed his arm down before turning to face Yuan with an apologetic smile.

‘Even a little kid like that is a Cultivation God…’ Yuan sighed inwardly.

Suddenly, he realized that he had not checked his status yet.

Yuan didn’t question it and passed through the door.

Yuan continued following the green line on the ground, and after another half an hour of walking, he reached a large building that was clearly a hospital.

After staring at it for a long moment, Yuan reluctantly entered the building and approached the front desk.

“I was recommended to see a psychiatrist,” he said to the woman behind the desk.

Without a word, the woman pointed to the small machine on top of the desk.

Sure enough, it was another one of those identity-reading machines.

‘Do I really have to give my blood every time I need to do something in this world?’ he sighed inwardly as he placed his hand into the slot, feeding it a drop of his blood.

“Take a seat. We’ll call you when it’s your turn,” said the woman.

Yuan went to the waiting area and waited for his turn. In the meantime, he continued testing the system’s capabilities.

“System, tell me about this world.”

“Anything else?”

‘So even information requires credentials, huh?’

“Can you tell me about the reason we have to hide in the underground shelter?”

Right as Yuan was about to ask another question—

“Already?”

Even though he had just sat down, Yuan didn’t complain and immediately made his way to room 221.

“You can enter.”

A moment later, she gestured at the chair before her and said, “Please, take a seat.”

Once he was seated, the woman said, “I am your psychiatrist, Doctor Ying. According to your referrer, Officer Mei, you believe that you are from another world. Can you tell me why you believe you are from another world?”
