Chapter 1046: Another Material’s Location

Jacob replied to Eliza’s inquiry, "It’s indeed as the Holy King had guessed. Now that I’ve completed the first trial of the Temple of the Blazing Flames and gained the rudimentary ownership, if I were to fall, the temple will vanish and hide itself again until another worthy inheritor finds it."

Eliza’s eyes narrowed into slits when Jacob acknowledged her conjecture, but a hint of doubt still existed in her heart as she mused, ’The Sanctum of Concord didn’t react to his words, which means he’s telling the truth. But for some reason, I don’t believe him...’

Jacob remained indifferent to Eliza’s inner thoughts as he continued, "As for negotiating with you, I’m not against it. After all, since you have been serving the Holy Justice God, you might know more about the inheritance related to the Holy Element and faith."

Eliza’s eyes widened ever so slightly as she inquired, "So, that temple has an inheritance related to the Holy element and faith?"

No matter how calm she acted, Jacob easily saw through her hidden ecstasy and greed. He was well aware of how the believers of the Cardinal Spirit Temple use ’faith power’ to increase their existing prowess and potential.

In the unique plains, he thought it was a unique power. Still, after arriving on the legendary plains and learning about the existence of Law Gods and Faith Gods, he was certain that this faith power was somehow connected to the Faith Gods, and the Holy Justice God was most likely a Faith God.

Although he still didn’t know how all of this worked, the unexpected information Immortika just provided him after he entered the Cardinal Spirit Temple’s headquarters with Eliza gave him more clues.

Now, he was baiting Eliza and making her slowly fall into his trap so he could easily achieve his objective.

"Yes, it is related to the holy element and faith. However, for this exact reason, I need your cooperation. I must admit, my next destination should’ve been approaching you after I claimed the Temple of the Blazing Flames, but you approached me on your own, making things less complicated for both of us." Jacob suddenly revealed something unexpected.

Eliza was astounded as she looked profoundly at Jacob. She was under the impression that it was her leading Jacob into her territory, and he was unwilling to offend her, apprehensive of her prowess, just as she was, so he followed her back.

However, now Jacob suddenly said that from the start he wanted to meet her, which means Jacob probably wasn’t afraid of her at all, or he was playing mind games to gain an advantage.

Whichever the case, Eliza has already enlisted Jacob as a schemer and a highly dangerous entity, much like herself. If she wasn’t careful, she might fall into his trap and wouldn’t even know until it was too late.

"Well, this’ll make everything more convenient. Please speak your mind, as long as your conditions are not excessive, and I don’t mind signing a Zodiac Soul Oath Contract. This is for both of our safety, since I hope you understand I don’t trust you, nor do you trust me."

Eliza instantly brought out the Zodiac Soul Oath Contract after realizing that Jacob wasn’t easy to deal with, and instead of taking a risk, she decided to play it safe.

"I have no problem with it." Jacob agreed without hesitation before his eyes flickered mysteriously as he said, "Since we have reached an initial agreement on our cooperation, I’ll tell you why I need your help. You see, the Temple of the Blazing Flames has two inheritances: one, the Divine Legacy of a Flame God, and the other, a Divine Legacy of Faith.

"The first legacy should belong to the owner of the temple because it is required to complete all the trials of the temple. However, the second legacy is different..." At this point, Jacob suddenly paused, giving Eliza a chance to absorb the information and steer her further into his trap.

Although Eliza may appear calm, her heart was in utter turmoil when she heard about the two legacies, especially the first one that belonged to a god.

Even though she had guessed that the Temple of the Blazing Flames held extraordinary opportunities, even she didn’t imagine it would keep the legacy of a God!

She now also had questions similar to Jacob’s. How did this legacy end up in the Legendary Plains, and who was this Flame God?

Keeping these questions to herself for now, she said, her eyes shimmering intently, "Please continue..."

Jacob nodded, "The second legacy, the Divine Legacy of Faith, can be claimed anytime, but to unlock it, I need to sacrifice something in return. Although I’m not sure if you have this particular sacrificial material, I’m sure you know something about it due to your origin. If you help me get it, I’m willing to share the Divine Legacy of Faith with you."

"Interesting. What is sacrificial material?" Eliza quickly asked as she began to understand why Jacob wanted to work with her, and she thought she might have more leverage than she had initially thought.

So, she wanted to take charge of the negotiation once she knew what the material was and whether she could obtain it or already had it.

Jacob knew Eliza was almost in his palm now and said with a profound look in his eyes, "This sacrificial material is rather peculiar, and it was my first time hearing its name. It’s called the Godly Faith Nectar. I wonder if Holy King has heard about it?"

The moment Jacob mentioned the ’Godly Faith Nectar,’ Eliza’s expression changed as a terrifying soul sense covered the entire Sanctum of Concord. At the same time, Jacob was directly targeted by her soul sense.

But Jacob remained unmoved despite sensing the killing intent within Eliza’s soul sense. He impassively stated, "From your reaction, it seemed I’ve guessed correctly, you do know about the Godly Faith Nectar."

Eliza’s spiral eyes seemed to swirl like a hypnotic vortex, and her expression was icy, "Are you sure this sacrificial material is called the Godly Faith Nectar? Please think before you speak again, or this might get you killed."

A hint of amusement flashed past Jacob’s eyes as he replied without a hint of fear, "I won’t change my statement, the sacrificial material is the Godly Faith Nectar. Now, the question is whether you are in or out?"

Just as Jacob’s voice trailed off, his soul surged out like a tidal wave, completely suppressing Eliza’s soul sense, making the latter’s heart tremble!
