Chapter 1072: The Coalition Founders! (1)
The Myth of White Swordsman, after leaving the Myth of Secrets in Myth of Alchemy’s care, ascended the Coalition Pagoda. His steps were heavy with both urgency and reverence until he finally stood before an enormous sealed door.
The portal loomed like the wall of heaven itself—magnificently large, adorned with ancient runes that pulsed faintly with authority. It seemed as though it had been crafted for giants, not gnats.
Stopping a respectful distance away, the White Swordsman lowered his head. He announced solemnly, "I have an urgent matter to report to the Coalition Master regarding my recent mission. Please grant me an audience!"
For a moment, silence fell. The air grew dense, heavy with unseen weight. Even the Sword Law within his body stilled, as if bowing to the unseen presence beyond the gate.
The Myth of White Swordsman didn’t have the demeanor of a Quasi-Myth at this moment; it was like a subordinate of a king waiting for an audience.
At this moment, like the peal of a mystical instrument, a melodious voice echoed from within the sealed door—calm, commanding, yet strangely soothing, "Enter, Myth of White Swordsman."
As the words faded, the colossal runes carved into the door flared brilliantly, and the massive portal slowly began to open with a deep, resonant groan. A flood of hazy brilliance spilled out, shrouding everything beyond in fog.
Without hesitation, the White Swordsman stepped inside, and the world changed around him.
The floor he entered was cloaked in mysticism. A thick fog curled and wove through the chamber, veiling all sights but one. A long, ethereal table stretching into the haze, its surface shimmering faintly with runes of law.
Rows of chairs lined its sides, though their occupants, if any, were concealed within the endless veil, truly a sight to behold.
Even the Myth of White Swordsman, with all his power, could not pierce this fog. He never had.
This was the third floor of the Coalition Pagoda, the seat of the highest authority. None of the members had ever seen beyond it—none save the two beings who founded the Mythical Coalition itself.
As for the First and Second floors, they were mysteries known only to the two founders, and everyone could only guess what lay on those floors. But just with this third floor, those arrogant Myths know that even if they were curious, they didn’t have the power to quench their curiosity.
As the Myth of White Swordsman entered, his gaze instinctively lifted toward the head of the ethereal table.
There, upon a massive throne carved of starlit obsidian, sat the shadow of an over-hundred-meter-tall giant. The figure’s outline was vast, godlike, his silhouette blurred as though reality itself refused to capture his true form, and not even a Quasi-Myth soul sense could see past that shadowy veil.
This giant was the Coalition Master, the unseen axis of the Mythical Coalition, and no one has ever seen the Coalition Master’s actual appearance, nor has he ever taken action personally.
But the Coalition Master wasn’t the only one present here, as to the right of that throne, occupying the first seat, sat another presence—no less intimidating.
It was a woman, her figure graceful and regal, draped in flowing robes that shimmered with constellations, as if the entire night sky had been woven into her attire.
Her face, however, was hidden entirely behind a smooth, faceless mask. No eyes, no mouth, no sockets—only a single golden-white glyph, shaped like a pentagram, glowed faintly at its center, and her head was covered under a witch hat.
This woman was the Myth of Oracle. Though not the master in name, her authority was equal, for she was the second founder of the Coalition.
Furthermore, her every word carried the weight of prophecy, and no one in the Mythical Coalition dared question her presence. Moreover, the Myth of Oracle was also the brains behind the Coalition, and she was also the one who had developed the True Myth Compass, which can track down myths!
The Myth of Swordsman, and the Myth of Secrets also received their mission to seek the new myth today from the Myth of Oracle.
At this moment, the White Swordsman stopped, lowering his head as he bent slightly at the waist, his voice carrying solemn respect, "Coalition Master, Myth of Oracle... forgive me. I have failed your mission, and even the Myth of Secrets was harmed. Currently, I have handed her over to the Myth of Alchemy, and he’s trying his best to heal her!"
The fog around the throne stirred faintly at his words, like a starry sea disturbed by an unseen tide, and a heavy voice, like an earthquake, filled with authority, sounded, "Sit!"
The Myth of White Swordsman quickly nodded as he took the furthest seat away from the Coalition Master and the Myth of Oracle.
At this moment, the Myth of Oracle seemed to be looking towards the White Swordsman; the pentagram on her mask flickered with mysterious light, making the White Swordsman uneasy.
Her melodious yet impassive voice sounded, "I have already acquired the information from those Star Pirates you have brought with you, fellow myth. The target of your mission this time was actually the Captain of those star pirates known as the Champion King!"
The Myth of White Swordsman was astounded, not because the Myth of Oracle had already acquired that information, since it was extremely easy for her, and he specifically brought them here to this exact reason; his surprise originated from the fact that the new myth turned out to be actually a star pirate!
This was unpresidential as the Myth of White Swordsman abhorred people like Star Pirates and couldn’t imagine one of them suddenly becoming a Quasi-Myth.
But the Myth of Oracle wasn’t done as she continued, "Furthermore, those star pirates were also involved in the big war going on between the Dead and Life Factions at this moment, and the Temple of the Blazing Flame that the Myth of Inferno has gone after was also related to them!"
Another torrent of shock flashed in the White Swordsman’s eyes as even he had heard about the Temple of the Blazing Flames, as it was a fresh topic among the Coalition members recently.
However, since the Temple of the Blazing Flames was within the territory of the Myth of Justice (Holy King), no one wanted to offend her by going there except for the Myth of Inferno, who cultivates the Law of Fire, and his temperament was eccentric.
But at this moment, the Myth of Oracle said something that made the Myth of White Swordsman frown deeply...
"Lastly, the Temple of the Blazing Flames has already been claimed by someone, and that person seemed to have been intercepted and then invited into the Holy Justice Citadel by the Myth of Justice, and I reckon that your mission’s failure also has something to do with the Holy Justice Citadel!"
