Cursed Immortality

Chapter 1081: Legatee of Chaos!

Chapter 1081: Legatee of Chaos!

In the depths of the Star Ocean of Legendary Plains, there was an unknown, hazy place seemingly stretched infinitely, and its very fabric woven from a cloudy, dense mist of darkness without any fabric of space or reality!

Furthermore, this darkness was extremely peculiar, as if hunger had given form, because this darkness devoured without question, swallowing anything that dared step into its folds. Beings alive or dead, spirits, stars, even remnants of laws—none could survive within this darkness. All that entered became part of it, erased and remade into its endless void.

Yet, as the vision pushed deeper, past endless tides of consuming gloom, the perspective shifted—into the very core of this boundless darkness.

There, something appeared. Something that should not have been possible. Amidst the swirling abyss was a scene so terrifyingly beautiful it defied reality itself.

A lone figure lay at the center, untouched, unstained, her presence not only surviving but bending the surrounding darkness. In this world where nothing seemed to exist, she alone was the source of ’tinge.’ Her very existence painted an ethereal, breathtaking tableau.

This figure was none other than the Heir of Chaos, Alexandra!

Her sleeping form radiated an aura that was both divine and ruinous. Her pale, moonlit skin glowed faintly, her dark hair spread around her like a river of midnight woven into the void.

Even in slumber, she emanated a regal and dangerous allure, her beauty a paradox—tender and lethal, serene yet apocalyptic.

Strangest of all was the darkness itself. That endless, eerie force which devoured everything... it coiled protectively around her, swirling gently as if she were its mistress.

It did not consume her, but rather it was nurturing her. It emanated from her. Each breath she took released new waves of shadow, staining the surrounding mist with an even more bottomless abyss, as though the entire void itself was born from her very existence.

However, at this moment, all of a sudden, the surrounding darkness churned when something alien pierced through, which should’ve been impossible!

From the endless darkness emerged a ’satellite,’ shaped like a Möbius strip, gliding slowly through the tides of darkness. It seemed to be forged of a material unknown, and this substance was clearly resisting the corruption of darkness.

The ravenous void recoiled from its Möbius surface as though it could not devour it, even as it pressed deeper into Alexandra’s domain.

As the satellite drifted toward her, it was like a blasphemous intruder in this sanctum, and at that very instant, Alexandra’s peaceful expression flickered.

The next moment, her eyes snapped open. Her eyes...they were no longer mesmerizing and humane. Now they were like utter annihilation—pitch-black, stripped of iris and pupil, true black holes that seemed to swirl with consuming gravity. Her lips, once dusky and alluring, were now darker than ink, as though dipped into the essence of the darkness itself.

She rose soundlessly, her form floating upward, her hair drifting like tendrils of midnight flame. The darkness surged with her movement, an ocean bowing to its sovereign.

Her gaze fixed upon the Möbius satellite. She studied it with a hint of interest. She was surprised because she knew this darkness and even Quasi-Myths would disintegrate in seconds within it if they dared to step into it, and with just a single touch of this darkness, their souls would corrode like incurable poison. The same goes for any artifact or treasure below Mythical Rank!

Yet this strange satellite endured, gliding steadily toward her, unyielding, uncorrupted. That meant it was crafted from materials so invaluable, so impossible, that even Gods would covet them.

Her darkness-born lips parted slightly—curiosity, veiled with danger.

But at this moment, all of a sudden, it spoke as a static, distorted voice rang from the satellite, filled with unnatural resonance, "O’ Heir of Chaos, my owner would like to converse with your Excellency."

The moment those words reached her ears, Alexandra froze as her pitch-black eyes widened and her heart, usually colder than frozen steel, lurched.

’Did it just say ’Heir of Chaos’?!’

At that moment, in an instant, her eyes turned glacial, swirling with an even darker gravity. A faint grayish tint laced their depths like an active black hole, swallowing everything it saw.

How could she not be shocked and wary, given that the Chaotic Darkness was her greatest secret, and no one should know about it unless she personally divulged this information!

But she was entirely sure that she had never revealed this secret to anyone, not to mention that Chaotic Darkness had assured her that no one would be able to ’see’ it or even deduce its existence.

’Unless...’ Alexandra’s thoughts suddenly churned when a ridiculous possibility surfaced in her mind, ’Old Chaos once said that there are eight more Universal Godly Scriptures like it, and all the heirs of UGS can ’see’ or preserve other UGS as long as the heir summons them.

Furthermore, if a UGS united with its Universal Godly Artifact, it can even sense other Universal Godly Scriptures from a distance, whether their heirs summoned them or not.

’Now, this thing’s master had spoken the ’title’ of old chaos and called me its heir so confidently, doesn’t this mean I have unknowingly encountered another Universal Godly Scripture’s heir at some point, and this heir most likely also had its scripture’s corresponding artifact!’

Just thinking about this made her breathe deeply, and her power surged. The darkness churned violently, like a storm given form, the abyss itself trembling under her shifting emotions.

But then she forced herself to calm down as she had always been calculating, patient, and never reckless. Furthermore, with over two thousand years of torment, feelings of helplessness, and her longing for freedom, she has learned that anything but becoming reckless in such a situation.

Since this person could find me here, then it means they are far stronger than me, yet they only approached me with a mere plaything, which means they are either afraid of me or couldn’t come here even if they want.

’Nevertheless, it won’t change the fact that there is some hidden agenda for revealing themselves with this toy. After all, they most likely had guessed that I would instantly suspect another heir of UGS even if they didn’t show themselves.

’They could’ve not called me ’heir of chaos’ and kept their existence a secret. But since they do, it could only mean they knew I won’t play along...’ Alexandra’s eyes flickered in chaos as she started to calm down and almost guessed this ’entity’ helplessness against her.

Nonetheless, she didn’t dare to summon Chaotic Darkness at this moment because she was afraid this ’entity’ might be pretending. After all, as an heir of a UGS, she knew others wouldn’t be any less remarkable than hers, especially those who were alive before her!

Now she had to know who they were and what they wanted. Only then could she decide how to counter them; additionally, she was curious about other Universal Godly Scriptures.

At this moment, her voice rose, majestic and dreadful, woven directly from the surrounding darkness, "Who... ARE you?!"

The words weren’t spoken—they resounded, rippling through the darkness, each syllable carrying the weight of a calamity. Her power testified with every breath, and she was no longer just a woman. She was now the true Heir of Chaos!
