Chapter 1235: A Tenuous Peace! (3)
The message sent by the Myth of Revered was anything but friendly, and how could Nelson not guess the true malicious threats in those words!
Nelson instantly understood that the Myth of Reverend was threatening him with Ellie and Lucy’s lives, and if he didn’t comply, the former would go after them.
Furthermore, Nelson had a feeling that Myth of Reverend was extremely confident in capturing Ellie and Lucy, and might not even capture them, because the latter clearly understood that with those two in his hold, Nelson wouldn’t dare to escape or simply return, even if he managed to escape.
Lastly, Nelson had more contingency plans just in case he was found, but they were similar to the Axiom Severance Transit. Yet despite that, Myth of Reverend was still able to find him in such a short time, and he didn’t seem to be even trying.
That’s why Nelson decided not to gamble with Ellie and Lucy’s lives, and ended up accepting the Myth of Reverend’s so-called goodwill.
That day, Nelson and his family managed to escape despite the Mythical Coalition blockade, just as Myth of Reverend had promised, but the price of that escape was, naturally, that ‘one’ route which led them directly into the Great Cosmic Continent of Sagittarius!
Despite knowing the terror of the Sagittarius Continent and there being no escape once inside, Nelson entered this continent just for a chance of survival!
On that day when he entered the Sagittarius Continent, Myth of Reverend with the Mythical Coalition no longer followed them inside, and the latter even pretended to be angry and launched a terrifying spell, which angered the hidden existence of the Undead Skyfall Canyons.
By doing so, the imprisonment imposed on the Sagittarius Continent became even more sturdy, and Nelson was no longer able to escape, no matter what trick he used.
Since that day, Nelson had been trying to figure out why Myth of Reverend forced him into the Sagittarius Continent instead of just capturing him, as the latter had him by the throat that day, but he couldn’t until he discovered the group of survivors, and among them the Death Lord!
The Death Lord instantly drew Nelson’s attention because, after observing their battles with the Undead Skyfall Canyons in secret, he found the Death Lord was capable of using terrifying and profound curse magic!
At that time, Nelson finally realized that the Myth of Reverend had lied to him, and the reason behind forcing him inside the Sagittarius Continent was probably the Death Lord, as the latter seemed to be afraid of personally entering this place.
Nonetheless, Nelson didn’t stay fixated on this conjecture, but it doesn’t mean he won’t stay still and let someone else manipulate him like a puppet.
He had already contacted his patron god, received some insight about his situation, and when he told the patron god about the possibility of finding the Cursed One, the God showed tremendous ecstasy and a hint of hidden unease.
However, God didn’t want to waste their opportunity, and taught Nelson a secret ritual which he needed to use at a specific time. As for the Myth of Reverend, he didn’t need to care about him anymore as long as he succeeded, Nelson and his family would be safe.
Yet, Nelson didn’t fully trust God, especially not after what happened with the Myth of Reverend, so he decided to observe the Death Lord and wait for an opportunity to capture him.
After all, the Undead Skyfall Canyons also seemed to be after the Death Lord, and Nelson knew that, eventually, they would suppress the latter, as the Death Lord was not even a Legendary King at that time.
However, as time passed, Death Lord grew stronger, and Nelson became impatient, realizing he had made a huge blunder by waiting on the sidelines.
In the end, Nelson even started to secretly help the Undead Army by revealing the Death Lord locations, but every time, the latter would escape and come back stronger.
Now, even Nelson believed that this might be the real Cursed One that could make even a God feel unease, and he decided to finally become serious.
However, the Death Lord had already entered the Legendary King Realm, and Nelson wasn’t confident he could match against someone like that who could continuously escape from Quasi-Myths even when they were in Legendary Lord State.
That’s why, Nelson this time manipulated the information and forged someone that even the Undead Lich King wouldn’t dare to ignore. In the end, he succeeded, and Undead Lich King personally acted with two of his dukes!
This time, everything went smoothly, and the Death Lord was going to fall under the Undead Lich King’s power. Once the Death Lord was on the verge of being captured, Nelson would’ve swooped in and taken over.
But it was like Nelson had been cursed with bad luck, and before the Death Lord could even join the battle, an unexpected person showed up.
First, Nelson thought it was the Myth of Reverend, who had finally joined the stage after waiting for so many years, but it won’t make sense because last time, the Myth of Reverend seemed to be equally matched against the Undead Lich King, and even fled.
However, when Nelson noticed the familiar style of clothing he had once seen, still engraved in his mind, he finally understood that this time it wasn’t the Myth of Reverend, but the monster from his nightmare!
Somehow, Faceless Ancient, who had been missing who knows where for hundreds of years, had appeared today again, and he was powerful beyond reason, especially after they witnessed the Undead Skyfall descent before the Undead Lich King met its end!
Lastly, the most shocking part in all of this was that the Death Lord not only knelt in front of Faceless Ancient, but she ridiculously turned out to be his disciple!
Now, currently, Nelson, Lucy, and Ellie were at their wits’ end and filled with apprehension because they knew even if they were to use every means in their possession, they couldn’t take down the Undead Lich King so effortlessly as Faceless Ancient had done.
Moreover, Nelson also realized another terrifying fact that the Cursed One, the real Cursed One, couldn’t be Death Lord, and could only be the Faceless Ancient!
