Chapter 1296: Sixth Form of Planet Destroyer
Chapter 1296: Sixth Form of Planet Destroyer
The current Planet Destroyer was no longer the old one he had created back in the Unique Plains of the Lesser Plains.
Ever since obtaining the Black Mechanic, constructing the Mechanized Sovereign Tower, and gaining access to the vast knowledge of the Timeless City, Jacob had specifically researched new ways to upgrade it and integrate his concepts into it.
After finalizing everything, he put the Black Mechanic to continuously upgrade it, and with the help of the Mechanized Sovereign Tower and all the priceless resources he gathered, it had evolved way beyond Jacob’s expectations.
Its weapons, ammunition, energy systems, magical technology, and even its control system had evolved.
What had once been a powerful weapon created by combining his knowledge as a Gunsmith, magical runes, and modern technology had now become something fundamentally different.
It had transcended the technological limitations of the Legendary Plains, and Jacob himself wasn’t completely certain where its upper limit now existed. Perhaps there wasn’t, or perhaps there was; either way, he hadn’t reached it yet, and that was enough.
Jacob’s eyes flickered, ‘Black Mechanic!’
A cold mechanical voice immediately emerged from the armored ring and sounded in his mind, “Awaiting command, sir!”
Jacob didn’t bother explaining. “Activate the Sixth Form!”
For the first time, there was a slight pause, and then the response came.
“Received command to activate the Sixth Form of Planet Destroyer!
“Activation authorized!
“Planet Destroyer Sixth Form: Starfall!
“Deploying…!”
Alexandra, concealed by the Cloak of Occult and hidden in the darkness, suddenly felt something strange.
Just as she had been preparing another attack, and her body had already moved into position, but then she stopped as her eyes turned toward Jacob, or specifically, on the ring on the strange ring on his finger.
Although she had no idea what that strangely designed ring was, she became extremely cautious since Jacob had taken it specifically at this moment.
However, her expression shifted when she sensed a peculiar power suddenly emanating from the ring, and she realized something had changed. But it wasn’t the ring; instead, something was happening above them.
Alexandra’s expression changed slightly as she thought warily, ‘What is that?’
All of a sudden, the treasury became unnaturally quiet, but the sacrificial river continued flowing, and the Life Bane Wheel continued rotating while Jacob remained completely still.
But somewhere beyond the space of the Divine Temple, something had begun to awaken.
Abruptly, a faint metallic vibration spread through the surrounding space.
‘Hum…’
It was extremely soft, yet Alexandra’s instincts immediately warned her of faint danger, and her gaze sharpened.
The next moment, the darkness above Jacob suddenly split apart, but not because space had been torn, or a Law had been activated. Instead, countless tiny points of black light appeared across the darkness.
At first, they looked like stars as they multiplied from one to ten, then a hundred, then thousands, and then tens of thousands.
Alexandra’s pupils contracted as she had never seen anything like this before; she couldn’t sense any trace of Stellar Energy or even law, yet those artificial star-like points gave her a sense of danger.
‘What is he up to?’
Alexandra’s ignorance wasn’t unwarranted because, not to mention her, no one in the Legendary Plains could develop something like the sixth’s form of Planet Destroyer, because this was just one of the most powerful concepts Jacob had developed even before he was transmigrated into the Zodiac Plains.
But in his old world, Jacob didn’t have the means or technology to make his concept a reality, nor did he want to, for he never trusted anyone.
However, here in the Zodiac Plains, Jacob gained everything he needed to spread his wings, and after coming to the Legendary Plains, he finally got a chance to make every weapon he had once conceptualized into reality.
So, right now, the current Planet Destroyer was the final product of his previous life’s research. It was like a homage to the old Weapon Emperor, the realization of his final dream!
After this form, whatever the Planet Destroyer evolved into would have nothing to do with the old Weapon Emperor but the current Faceless Ancient!
At this moment, the black stars began moving, slowly at first, then they emerged from the darkness one after another.
Suddenly, huge metallic structures appeared above the treasury; they were long, angular, and completely black. Their surfaces were covered in countless magical runes, technological circuits, rotating mechanisms, and glowing energy conduits.
Some resembled gigantic cannons, others resembled elongated spears, some looked like enormous metallic rings surrounding compressed energy cores, and others were almost impossible to identify.
They weren’t flying weapons; they were weapons that had been given the ability to exist in the sky, and there were far too many of them as they covered the darkness above the treasury like an artificial star field.
Alexandra stared upward in disbelief as even with her experience, she still couldn’t immediately determine what kind of artifact this was.
‘Is it a Divine Artifact? No, it didn’t feel like one.’ She immediately denied the speculation because no unique divine power emanated from that strange artifact.
‘A formation? Impossible; there are no formation fluctuations. Wait, those shapes…’ Alexandra immediately noticed some of those weapons and felt familiar with them. ‘A technological weapon?’
The thought was absurd, yet it was the closest description she could find.
Alexandra’s expression became strange yet solemn.
Former because she found it ridiculous, as Jacob had decided to use such a ‘weak’ weapon since even spaceship cannons wouldn’t work against her as long as they couldn’t hit her, and latter because this ‘weak’ weapon was giving her a sense of danger.
For the first time since entering the treasury, she felt genuine uncertainty toward something Jacob had produced, as she hadn’t expected this, not even remotely.
At this moment, Jacob slowly raised his head, and his hood fluttered slightly despite the complete absence of wind.
Thereafter, the countless weapons above him aligned simultaneously, and their barrels turned while their energy cores began charging.
At that moment, Alexandra realized something that changed her expression.
Not every weapon was aimed at her, but they were aimed at the surrounding darkness, at the treasury, and the entire region.
Jacob wasn’t trying to locate her, but he was going to destroy every place she could hide. Simply put, since he couldn’t see her, he would simply remove the darkness that protected her.
‘He’s going to bombard the entire area? Did he really think this trick could harm me? Absurd! I was worried for nothing!’
Alexandra immediately understood his intention, and then sneered in her heart as she felt slightly humiliated for even feeling threatened by Jacob’s childish trick.
She was the heir of Chaotic Darkness, and even without wearing the Cloak of Occult, she could easily avoid every last one of those weapons.
Moreover, she was now certain that Jacob couldn’t see or sense her; that’s why he was now trying to destroy his surroundings, which meant he was relying on chance.
Her eyes became cold. ‘Try your petty tricks!’
She was no longer afraid, as the Cloak of Occult still concealed her; she could move or escape, and she could even use the chaos created by this weapon to launch another attack.
However, right at that moment, a strange pressure suddenly descended upon her, and it was not from Jacob, but from the weapons above.
Alexandra’s expression changed again as the countless black machines were beginning to resonate with one another, and different energies were being loaded.
Some contained terrifying soul fluctuations, others carried Law suppression, others contained spatial energy, some had begun accumulating destructive nuclear force, and others Alexandra couldn’t identify at all.
‘T-this…these powers…where are they coming from!?’ She was flabbergasted.
At this moment, Alexandra didn’t understand that the Starfall wasn’t just one weapon with simple ammunition used in the Legendary Plains.
Instead, it was an entire arsenal of mass destruction that could’ve eradicated the entire Undead Skyfall Canyons Undead Armies with the Mythical Collation united armies if Jacob had unleashed it there!
